July 2014 edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to Air India does not have an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history.

The edit summary appears in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks!  LeoFrank  Talk 02:20, 21 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on File:Air India A320 in Star Alliance Livery at mumbai july 12 , 2014.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ///EuroCarGT 04:12, 21 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use File:A320Neo (New Engine Option) Roll out.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:A320Neo (New Engine Option) Roll out.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Anupmehra -Let's talk! 01:53, 2 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

November 2017 edit

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Ethiopian Airlines, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Jetstreamer Talk 21:53, 14 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Andrewgprout. I noticed that you made a change to an article, ATR 72, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Andrewgprout (talk) 01:20, 19 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

December 2017 edit

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Vistara. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Jetstreamer Talk 00:05, 7 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

January 2018 edit

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at IndiGo. Jetstreamer Talk 23:45, 2 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at IndiGo, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.  LeoFrank  Talk 08:28, 3 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 36 hours for persistently making disruptive edits. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.

Request reason:

I will not make any changes again until I have reliable source to go with it so I request to you kindly unblock my account now please.

Decline reason:

Given the comment below, I think it would be better if you take the time off to read WP:Identifying reliable sources. Huon (talk) 01:08, 9 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

This is not fair I am new here and this is unfair blocking and trust me Yunshui I will not edit unless I have wikipedia reliable source with me I also have right to free speech here SoI request to all please UNBLOCK My Account ! Thank you !NP 09:49, 9 January 2018 (UTC)

Decline reason:

You are confused. You have no right to free speech here. See WP:FREESPEECH. You need to convince us you understand WP:V and WP:RS. You've already explicitly stated that you don't understand WP:RS and we can't unblock you until you demonstrate an understanding. What about planespotters.net makes it fail WP:RS? What's an example of a more reliable source you could use instead? Yamla (talk) 11:24, 9 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

One unblock request at a time, please. You still have refused to answer these questions: "What about planespotters.net makes it fail WP:RS? What's an example of a more reliable source you could use instead?" --Yamla (talk) 23:02, 9 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

I mean If Planespotters.net fails then I will try to find new website that say airline have got these many aircraft i their fleet and if not then I will erase it the changes and leave it as it was like cancel the changes simple answer so now can I get UNBLOCK Please ! Yamla (talk)
That's up to the next reviewing admin. I certainly wouldn't unblock you with that. You've claimed you totally understand our policies, but have demonstrated you haven't the slightest idea of how WP:RS works. --Yamla (talk) 00:43, 10 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Nishant28 appears to be an unused account that belongs to Nishupat.
  • Observations: At the present, there are 712 links on en.wiki to planespotters.net . From making several spot checks, I find many to most of these links are "Page not found". There was a posting to the Reliable Sources Noticeboard asking about this source but it went without response. There was also a previous posting at RSN several years ago that suggested that it isn't a reliable source. It is heavily linked cross wiki.
  • BilCat and others in the Aviation projects may have opinions on these links. Maybe a discussion is warranted somewhere.

Decline reason:

I'd say that you should retract the legal threat first, but to be honest: I don't think you have the skills to edit Wikipedia even when you have done so. That information on Wikipedia needs to be backed up with reliable sources is a non-negotiable policy - WP:V - and you don't seem to understand this concept even after several attempts by others to explain it. Pleading in allcaps is not enough - at a minimum, you need to explain what a reliable source is and how you plan to apply the concept to your future edits. We do not permit legal threats here. Please see WP:NLT. As per your legal threat, I have extended your block indefinitely. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should read the guide to appealing blocks, then contact administrators by submitting a request to the Unblock Ticket Request System. If the block is a CheckUser or Oversight block, was made by the Arbitration Committee or to enforce an arbitration decision (arbitration enforcement), or is unsuitable for public discussion, you should appeal to the Arbitration Committee.
Please note that there could be appeals to the unblock ticket request system that have been declined leading to the post of this notice.
