He He

They didn't block me at all. All they did was block one measly IP address. Better luck next time Ninjalemming. I must congratulate you though. You managed to convince those fools to remove Wesker's death reference. Don't come crying to me though when Wesker fails to show up in Resident Evil 6. Good night buddy. ;) —Preceding unsigned comment added by MarkAldred (talkcontribs) 22:38, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

Blocking school ip's

Thank you for your message on my talkpage. I am ambivalent toward school blocks, on one hand I generally go from a sanction of a couple of days straight to 3 or 6 month block - since if the editors are not persuaded by a brief block then I may as well protect the encyclopedia for a term or two - while I realise that blocks of more than 1 year are counterproductive, because you are penalising the next years classes for the actions of a different lot. Mostly, however, I wonder what the teachers are doing when they notice a pupil having a message bar or block notice appear on the screen - I think they ignore the situation. No wonder their students are the source of much disruption here with that lack of overview. Cheers. LessHeard vanU (talk) 13:28, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Nintendo task force membership update

I am currently gauging the active membership of the Nintendo task force. I have split the members list into an "active list" and an "inactive list" and have moved all members (except myself) to the "inactive list". To confirm that you're still an active participant in the task force, please go to the membership list at WP:NIN and simply move your name from the "inactive list" back onto the "active list". If you no longer wish to be a member, simply remove your name from the list. After two weeks (around 23 March 2009), I will remove all names on the inactive list. Thank you, and hope you're still interested, MuZemike 20:34, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

re: "yo, the new(ish) barnstar"

I finally though of what this[1] barnstar could be for. As the medalish thing is like a kind of watch it could be awarded to people who stay on wikipedia for a certain amount of time or something like that. Took me sometime but I got there. PLease reply to this on my talk page. :) 'The Ninjalemming' 19:06, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Hmmm... I don't know. I don't think we really need an award for that, especially since we already have the Service Awards which combine length of tenure with edit count. Besides, maybe I'm mistaken, but it looked more like a compass than a watch to me. Incidentally, why are we having this discussion on our talk pages instead of back at the project where everyone can comment? Nutiketaiel (talk) 19:25, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

My New Barnstar

Yes, I am a crazy fool. I hate the bloody game. Thank god I managed to get all the information I needed from it though. The moment I finished playing to test something with the archer, I swapped over the disc to Red Heat. Much breakage of the Xbox ensued with an "E 74" error. *sobs* If I can think of anything for the Mass Effect series article, I'll do it, but right now, my creativity is dead. Besides, it looks like it's going to be a keeper anyway. --Thejadefalcon (talk) 13:45, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Nintendo task force membership update

It's that time again to update membership status with the Nintendo task force, which we try to do every 3-4 months to keep our membership up-to-date.

All participants have been placed on an "Inactive participants" list. To confirm that you're still a member of the Nintendo task force, simply go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Nintendo#Members and move your name from the "Inactive participants" list to the bottom of the "Active participants" list. If you are no longer an active member in the task force, you may simply remove your name altogether. After 1 month, on October 1, all entries under the "Inactive participants" list will be removed. Hopefully you can stay with us and continue to work on Nintendo-related articles. Regards, MuZemike 17:55, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Please update your status with WP:VG

Dear WikiProject Video games member,

You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in recent months.

The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.

All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:

Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

There's a thread above. Use that. That's where I'm merging everything. As for the three month break causing you to forget everything, some might say "don't take three month breaks then" or "have better memory retention than a sponge." Not me though. I'm nice like that. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 16:05, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm merging threads. Call me tidy. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 16:06, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I liked the sponge thing too. And as far as I know, it's original too. Go me. As for me being a better teacher, it was, for a long time, one vision of my future. Not in this reality, but in another reality I'm busy educating college students or trying to break up fighting four-year-olds. Of course, in yet another reality the world worships Hitler. So, yeah. Let's not go to alternate realities. Or screw up history. That's bad too. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 10:26, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
Actually, that reality I genuinely would be interested in seeing. What would my life be like then? Also, I'd have the chance to invent a new word if we fell in love. Selfcest? --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 10:45, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
Wha'? Since when did I mention xeno? What drugs are you on? I was talking about me and my female self. As for what 'selfcest' means, figure it out. It's a nice scientific paradox, thinking about what would happen if two people who are the same, but from alternate realities, like each other. I'll have to do more thinking about that. As for the warning on my userpage, it is so that I don't forget the coding and everything and I can place it on the ME2 page when it is needed. Finally, you messed up your signature again. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 10:14, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

Fiction

Yeah, I'm using fanfiction as a stepping stone to original fiction. My main thing is a sci-fi saga, which is a cross between the rules of the Star Trek, Star Wars and Mass Effect universes. I have to say though, your story idea frightens me as a beta reader (proofreader-cum-copyeditor for fanfiction) and as a semi-member of the PPC, a group of writers that hate bad stories. The jungle thing sounds scarily like Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Also, the self-inserts in the zombie apocalypse terrify me. Along with them suddenly going into ME/LotR. Eh? How do you explain that one? As for broadband, it's coming, possibly within the fortnight (there were complications). --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 16:11, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

Oh, ow. I know some Tolkien fans who would just be slavering at the mouth to disembowel you right now for corrupting how magic and everything works in LotR. I'm halfway there. My advice, don't post it in the internet, or you will be murdered by someone (and I'd point signs in your direction). :P So yeah... as long as it's only for your friends. I'm not meaning to put you down or anything. I was an awful badficcer when I started. Seriously, really, really awful. But I got better and now I can improve other's writing as long as they are willing to accept a brutal (and I mean brutal) shredding of their works to get to the gold underneath the festering dung heap (what an interesting analogy. I shall have to use it more often). --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 16:24, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
Oh, trust me, I was an appalling writer. On my user page is a link to my fics. If you value your sanity, you won't read 8472 or Years of Hell but those were my first two stories and, lo, are they Satan's spawn.
"I don't think I'm a bad writer when I write properly... but the ideas need lots of work" That's the problem. A lot of people are too busy praising their writing to realise that they suck. If you've admitted your ideas need work, you're halfway there, but always come to your story with the eye of someone who's never read it before. Will they understand a single word? Picking up a spatula doesn't make you a world-renowned chef, picking up a scalpel doesn't make you a great doctor, so why should picking up a keyboard make you a great writer? You need to constantly force down you "this is awesome" gland and read it like a critic. It's the only way you'll come up with something useful.
Re: Mass Effect dark matter and antimatter. You don't need either of those. The explanation is in the game. Element zero.
Your random ideas aren't helping me much. Email me what you have so far and I'll go through them.
Yes, I'm on now, but I leave the talk page until I've cleared my watchlist. When I have broadband (my mum's hopefully ordering it right now), I'll have far more time to do everything. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 10:51, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
Do not talk to me about crap stories and embarrassment until you have read 8472. Also, though I am thankfully not the author, My Immortal is regarded as one of the worst stories of all time. You cannot beat that for craptastical crap. Trust me. I've seen it attempted.
"I also read you were eighteen, never know this fct, makes sense really" What's that supposed to mean? --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 11:11, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

Re: CoPM. It's a time travel story. The title does make sense when you put it in context.
What do you mean by peer reviewers?
Re: Age. I'm a role-player by nature (part of why I enjoy writing). I can act out any type of person I feel like. Sometimes I slip into another personality by mistake. Wikipedia's default is a mature adult, but another of my major (and favourite) personalities is a sarcastic bastard who loves to mock others. That's probably who you've encountered lately. :P

Re: Theories

The Pythagreon Theorum? Why wouldn't I believe in it, I'm a math wiz! I never said I didn't say I don't believe in all theories. Just the ones that controdict with my religion. Signature

I just noticed that your signature is slightly messed up. You need to add '' somewhere to cut off the italics. It's intruding into the timestamp. Or was that meant to happen? --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 17:59, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Eh? let me check, it I have noticed it some times does it though, lets see 'The Ninjalemming' 18:06, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
Yes, that was exactly what you thought it was. I encountered a version of it on the internet, found it cute and amusing (the whole version had a bunch of excellent in-jokes) and the people I know on a forum I moderate found it funny too. Therefore, for the lulz of our group (and for the confusion of outsiders), I cut it down to size and set it as my avatar for a time. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 18:19, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
"No, that wasn't what I thought it was" I was talking about the picture. Secondly, I don't update my stories because I haven't written anything for a long time and what I have hasn't been read by a proofreader yet, so I refuse to upload it. Thirdly, read the Terms of Service. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 18:33, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
Don't worry. Some of my stories are probably above the M rating. The FF.net admins are generally rather lax. Just keep it to a minimum and you'll be fine. Secondly, if it's original fiction, you'll want FictionPress. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 18:56, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
I'm on both, but only have actual works on FF. The FictionPress account is merely to hold my penname as my own so no-one can impersonate me. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 19:26, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
I know I can do it, but I go for perfection. Therefore, nothing's uploaded right now. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 19:37, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
I just told you. I know I can do original fiction. But I aim for perfection, so nothing is uploaded until I know it's how I want it. Secondly, how the hell should I know? E-mail them if you're that desperate to know. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 19:42, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
I've never had a spam e-mail from FF or FP. It's used to alert you of new forum posts, new reviews to your stories, new chapters to the stories on your alert list and a few other harmless things. Secondly, no. As far as I'm aware, you're only allowed to tie one e-mail address to one account so my address wouldn't do you any good. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 20:01, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

← Oops... I keep forgetting to write some more for Eye of the Beholder. And yeah, I just wanted a more realistic take on it. That's generally all I write: realistic stuff, regardless of the fandom. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 20:14, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

No, I threatened to direct people who'd kill you to you. There's a difference. Besides, this fandom's not as easy to mess up totally. But I will mildly maim you if you mess it up. :D As for EotB's next update, I have no idea. Chapter Two has six versions right now, none of them finished. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 20:31, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
By mess up, I mean the Canon is easier to understand. See cute fluffy animal, beat up cute fluffy animal, cage cute fluffy animal in tiny spherical device. Compare to Lord of the Rings. "Oh no! An evil piece of jewellery!" "What shall we do with it?" "First, let's explain why it exists over twenty-six pages of monologuing." "He's been corrupted, kill him!" et cetera et cetera. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 20:43, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
Err... if that's LotR, that's totally messing it up. If not, I have no idea what you're talking about. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 21:00, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
(headdesk, headdesk, headdesk) Those people I mentioned who'd kill you? They'd also do a dance on your grave. Anyway, seriously, this conversation is killing the server kitties. Do it over e-mail. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 21:09, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
You just broke my brain. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 21:20, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
CoPM has the second chapter. And trust me when I say that EotB deserves the M rating. Violence, gore, swearing, more violence, death, suicide, mature themes, sexual contents, more violence. Just because it's not there yet doesn't mean I'm not going to use the rating later. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 17:43, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
I can change the rating, but I don't see the point. It will be an M one day, so I don't see why I should label it for what it is currently. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 18:00, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

CoD 6

Idiot... duh... of course you'll get the ending spoiled if you watch it on YouTube. Secondly, yes, I finished it within a day (would have been sooner, but Wikipedia called to me). --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 17:58, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

Your request for rollback

Hi Ninjalemming/Archive 1. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! –xenotalk 18:40, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Vandal Fighting

How do you fight vandals with rollback? Is that the same thing as Twinkle? Is vandalism more likely from IP's with no name/account? Are they just randoms who hit a page, say something snarky, or worse, wait for a response, etc?Malke2010 20:21, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

Rollback is exactly the same as Twinkle, but works absolutely instantly, even if the "Rollback completed" page doesn't come up. And yes, vandalism is, I believe, statistically more likely from IPs, yes. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 01:24, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
Thank you, vandal fighter extradonaire. BTW, Elvis left a message on your talk page.Malke2010 05:29, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
Rollback is not exactly like twinkle, Rollback can only be used for blatant vandalism... Twinkle is a script that a user can install to simplify edits, making certain edits faster. Rollback is a user right that allows someone to instantly revert specific edits. Please read WP:TWINKLE and WP:ROLLBACK... - Adolphus79 (talk) 15:33, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
My apologies, yes. That is a better clarification. What I meant was that they each revert all consecutive edits by a user. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 15:49, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
Go to the Thomas Edison talk page and look at the entry in the beginning. Is this something that you can fix with Twinkle or does a person with rollback have to remove it? I don't want to delete something with Twinkle and get in trouble. Thanks.Malke2010 16:10, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
Nevermind. Somebody already reverted it. Here it is. [3]. Was this with Twinkle or Rollback?Malke2010 16:13, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
This edit was made with Twinkle, note the (TW) at the end of the summary... anyone can install and use Twinkle (or Huggle), but you have to be given user rights to use Rollback... I have Rollback rights myself, but very rarely actually use it... Only when dealing with a specific user who I know all their edits are blatent vandalism... - Adolphus79 (talk) 16:54, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
Thank you. So anybody can use Twinkle to delete vandalism like on the Thomas Edison page. And not get in trouble. But the rollback works faster and you need to get permission to use that. Correct?Malke2010 17:06, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
Almost. There are a few people who aren't allowed Twinkle but that's because they've abused it already. But other than that, that's correct. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 17:10, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

And I'd like to hand every barnstar on the list to the person who created the page on the First Contact War. :P Seriously, though, the bot arrived at least once while the original test was running and it didn't archive it. Nintendo task force membership update

Hello,

It's that time again to update membership status with the Nintendo task force, which we try to do every 3-4 months (though it's been actually 6 months since the last one) to keep our membership up-to-date.

After 1 month, on 1 April 2010, all entries under the "Inactive participants" list will be removed. Hopefully you can stay with us and continue to work on Nintendo-related articles. Regards, –MuZemike 17:31, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

I'm not sure of the full extent of it, but he apparently doesn't even remember about Wikipedia. So, he'll be very inactive for a while, I'm guessing and probably won't know any of you. Yeah, hi dudes (whoever reads this anyway), mildly back but gonna leave the sign there. I say mildly as I have now broken four ribs, my hand and wrist and kinda hurt my foot...more importantly though I broke my watch which I was really pissed about, so got a new one with designed for Rock climbing and sky diving, it's got a barometer and altimeter as well as weather tracer, humidity meter, temperature gauge, stop watch and oh yeah...something that lets me see the time. SO hopefully be back next months but can't promise anything, I got to put htis watch too the test. Bye for now (damn why am I speaking as if this is a blog). Okay, how ever bloggy this sounds, it isn't; jus informing people about whether or not I'll be back on wikipedia. ANd I don't know, I really don't know. That concussion seems to have knocked me back to my senses alittle, and that didn't he;lp me; may now have clinical depression, I dunno, randomly jumping around; seem to be myself half the time, being hyper and happy and stuff but then can drop into a depressive state in a few minutes with no notice. My mind keeps telling me things that I don't want to hear, but know are true and they make me kinda sad (haven't cried though =P) But I'm still in control, everything I says I know I can change and will, if it's about my personality I will change it for the better, so in the end it helps. Sorry about that monologue but it's just incase anyone cares...which I doubt. bye guys, peace out 'The Ninjalemming' 23:15, 7 June 2010 (UTC)

Nintendo task force membership update

It's that time again to update membership status with the Nintendo task force, which we periodically do to keep our membership up-to-date.

On 23 December, all entries under the "Inactive participants" list will be removed. Hopefully you can stay with us and continue to work on Nintendo-related articles. Regards, MuZemike delivered by MuZebot 17:23, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Lego indy 2 listed at Redirects for discussion

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Lego indy 2. Since you had some involvement with the Lego indy 2 redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. Lordtobi () 20:03, 11 June 2017 (UTC)

MfD nomination of User:Ninjalemming/userbox/invisible

User:Ninjalemming/userbox/invisible, a page which you created or substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Ninjalemming/userbox/invisible and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Ninjalemming/userbox/invisible during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. gobonobo + c 05:45, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
