re: Alex Ovechkin edit

Hi Nickkeefs. I removed the statements because they were written in an editorializing tone. As a rule, we try to avoid flowery praise of subjects as it often fails to conform to an encyclopedic and neutral point of view. Cheers! Resolute 23:13, 18 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

thanks for clearing that up but on the Wayne Gretzky page, Gretzky is referred to as one of the greatest players to ever play hockey. I know he is one of the best but the statement is no where near neutral. These statements are also present on the Jormir Jagr and Mario Lemieux pages
"Neutral" in that we (the Wikipedia community collectively) do not use our own voice to make such claims. Gretzky and Lemieux especially are widely considered in reliable sources to be two of - if not the two - greatest players in history. We do reflect what those sources say, and we have cited those claims in the article body. Thanks, Resolute 13:22, 19 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
