May I ask a stupid question? Why are all those articles nominated for deletion? I looked at fo:Falköping and fo:Brno, because they're both cities, which are automatically notable here on en. Is it because they have no references, or because they are one-line stubs (although both have pics and the latter has a location map), or something to do with who created them, or simply that they've been challenged and no one has responded on the talk page? It seems a pity not to leave any like that, and I presume a lot of the people are notable too ... so I'm a bit puzzled. Yngvadottir (talk) 19:49, 3 November 2014 (UTC)

That's not a stupid question at all! Some of the Swedish towns have been removed from the deletion category as their nomination for deletion was challenged, see Alafors, Slite, Skurup, Skoghall, Skelleftehamn. Most of these have been extended with a couple of sentences. The articles were nominated because they only included one sentence, no references, few had pictures, and some were written in very bad Faroese. They simply do not fulfill our requirements for an article. $\mathbb {N}$iceley 19:59, 3 November 2014 (UTC)

Resurrection of Southern California Task Force

After moving from Los Angeles County to Kern County to San Luis Obispo County, I am finally realizing that there is life in California outside of L.A. and San Francisco, where I lived and grew up. Oh, I have also lived in San Diego, San Bernardino, San Joaquin, Yolo and Sacramento counties, and I earned my undergraduate degree in Riverside County. I am trying to breathe life into the Southern California Task Force, and I hope you will join me. This article is promotional, and the device in this image is arranged identically to this one, with some photoshopping to change the background (it has a CAD number in the metadata, which is also weird). Comments and requests

Wikipedia is a widely-used reference work and managing conflict of interest is essential for ensuring the integrity of Wikipedia and retaining the public's trust in it. As in academia, COI is managed here in two steps - disclosure and a form of peer review. Please note that there is no bar to being part of the Wikipedia community if you want to be involved in articles where you have a conflict of interest; there are just some things we ask you to do (and if you are paid, some things you need to do).

Disclosure is the most important, and first, step. While I am not asking you to disclose your identity (anonymity is strictly protecting by our WP:OUTING policy) would you please disclose if you have some connection with Stevenson Industries? And is there something different we need to do, on the ownership and licensing of that image? You can answer how ever you wish (giving personally identifying information or not), but if there is a connection, please disclose it. Holy cow that is blatant copyvio. To be frank I don't believe you got that file off their website. I am unaware of any company that posts pictures of that high quality on their website and not with such a filename; the only way I see somebody getting their hands on such a file is from the company directly. Having a COI is not the end of the world. You should just disclose it. And if you edit for pay (a special case of COI) you need to disclose it. Jytdog (talk) 08:09, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
