IPA in Sinhala text edit

As someone who has attempted to learn Sinhala, I applaud your use of IPA in Sinhala text. However, there are no templates for including IPA in non-English text that I know of, and the templates that do exist place the language name before the text, not after it as you have done. I would suggest changing:

Kandy (maha nuvara, mahaˈnuərə, in Sinhala, கண்டி kaṇṭi, ˈkaɳɖi, in Tamil) is the English name for the city of Maha Nuvara (Senkadagalapura) in the centre of Sri Lanka.

to

Kandy (, mahaˈnuərə, கண்டி, ˈkaɳɖi) is the English name for the city of (Senkadagalapura) in the centre of Sri Lanka.

so it renders as:

Kandy (Sinhala: maha nuvara, IPA: [mahaˈnuərə], Tamil: கண்டி, romanized: kaṇṭi, IPA: [ˈkaɳɖi]) is the English name for the city of Maha Nuvara (Senkadagalapura) in the centre of Sri Lanka.

I'm not sure of the significance of "Senkadagalapura" so I haven't formatted it. Danielklein (talk) 06:10, 14 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Amelioration pattern edit

Notice

The article Amelioration pattern has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not meet notability criteria and misstates its sources. Should be a sentence in the refactoring article at most

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 9 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
