Edits to others' user page

Hey Ramajois, since your new out here, would like to let you know that you should not make changes to anothers user's page as you did here. Please go through WP:UP. Abhishek Talk to me 16:39, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

WP:AIV

Hello.

This is a message to let you know that I have declined your request at WP:AIV.

The reasons for the decline is that the IPs have been insufficiently warned. Normally IPs have to be warned 4 times before we'd consider blocking them unless there are exceptional circumstances ie lots of vandalism. In the cases you reported the IPs had only edited once each and a report from WHOIS does not show them to be connected. Secondly, you said that the IPs had just been released from a previous block, I checked their contributions and their deleted contributions and from what I can see they haven't edited before so couldn't have been previously blocked. Thank you.--5 albert square (talk) 20:39, 11 June 2011 (UTC)

Ah c'mon dude

You really shouldn't have removed my edit.. it was pretty damn funny Television51 (talk) 05:17, 12 June 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: User:RICKYD55

Hello Ramajois. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of User:RICKYD55, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not a test page. Thank you. ϢereSpielChequers 06:16, 12 June 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: User:Horse Mad679

Hello Ramajois. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of User:Horse Mad679, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Users are allowed considerable freedom on what to put on their own user pages. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 16:14, 12 June 2011 (UTC)

External links

The link above is the link to the website I added which contains hundreds of informational pages on relocating to Rosarito and to Mexico. Yes it is a real estate website but some of the above links are retail sites as well. This website contains more useful information regarding Rosarito Mexico than most any other websites do about moving to and living in Rosarito beach for the English speaking world. I did not add this website for any type of SEO or Link building purpose it was meant as a source of information for the English speaking community looking into relocating to Rosarito or just wanting to have accurate information in English about Rosarito Mexico. I am curious to understand the reason for the removal of this link and not the other links. One of the links is a hotel and another is a spa. If such links are used to support this page than I believe the link I added is as or even more relevant. I believe this link and all of the above links should be left on the page for people to use that are referencing information about Rosarito Mexico. I have modified the written content in the link so it is not confused with an advertising link. please let me know if this would better meet the guidelines and would be allowed to be posted in the external link section.

Thank you

June 2011

Hi Ramajois. Thank you for your work on patrolling new pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I'm just letting you know that I declined your deletion request for Jana Beller, a page that you tagged for speedy deletion, because the criterion you used or the reason you gave does not cover this kind of page. Please take a moment to look at the suggested tasks for patrollers and review the criteria for speedy deletion. Particularly, the section covering non-criteria. Such pages are best tagged with proposed deletion, proposed deletion for biographies of living persons, or sent to the appropriate deletion discussion. Not a test page. Your request for rollback

Hi Ramajois. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! FASTILY (TALK) 18:49, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

Thank you Fastily, I'm sure I'll use it as you have mentioned and if I have any doubt I'll surely contact you for the same. Thank you. Shriram (talk) 20:47, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

Ta muchly for the cuppa. I hope you don't mind that I added a drop of something stronger to it... Peridon (talk) 18:51, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

Qidwai

Read the the article before and after my changes. Thanks 213.152.41.250 (talk) 07:42, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

Do you mean to say that it was copy pasted? you can improve it instead of removing or blanking the page. You can even discuss it in the article's talk page. Shriram (talk) 07:49, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
It was an usource ramble all in caps. Have a look 213.152.41.250 (talk) 07:51, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
Its okay now, has been undone by another user. It happens sometime because we don't usually support such page blanking. Sorry for trouble. Shriram (talk) 07:58, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

Stop It

Stop sending me rude messages im improving the wiki so dont be a tightass — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.161.31.192 (talk) 10:20, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

Really? we support people who 'really' try to improve not people who vandalize. And behave properly. Shriram (talk) 10:24, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
  • And we support blocking of jerks for making racial slurs anywhere on Wikipedia; anon IP has been BLOCKED for 31 hours. --Dave ♠♣♥♦™№1185©♪♫® 10:41, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

agarwal

Ramajois, I suspect it is you who is adding crap to wikipedia's page about agarwals like they are Dravidian.. Dont add anything which you imagine in your mind.. You are propagating falsehood.. and what is this about genetic disease among agarwals.. you sound racist and disgusting man..210.212.20.75 (talk) 10:47, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

I'm not racist. I adher to neutral point of which, which many people dont. Proper reason must be provided for removing or blanking. If you cant atlest mention it in the article's talk page. And always mind your language
210.212.20.75, you will be blocked if you continue with your unexplained removal of content, personal attacks, and other disruption. Bryce53 | talk 10:54, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
@Bryce53 Wow man I thought you said that to me! Shriram (talk) 10:58, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
I wouldn't have said that to you...if you did nothing wrong! Seriously! I'm all LOL. (haha) Best regards! Bryce53 | talk 10:59, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
Yeah thanks and same to you. keep up the good work. See ya around. Shriram (talk)
  • Does the username User:Islamuslim ring a bell? He's using 210.212.20.75 to evade his block again but I've traced the IP jerk to an open terminal of an Indian University, we'll see how this one goes. --Dave ♠♣♥♦™№1185©♪♫® 11:09, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
And the person has made an edit in that university. [1]. Good work on that tag. Shriram (talk) 11:18, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
  • Update: the university IP has been blocked 3 months for his persistent vandalism and sock evasion. From the looks of it, I think it is highly possible that he would be blocked again after this one and the next block will be 6 months to 1 year if he doesn't change for the better. --Dave ♠♣♥♦™№1185©♪♫® 17:39, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

  • And there's no need to keep tagging me with a tb template, I'm quite active and I do watchlist a page after I left a note.   --Dave ♠♣♥♦™№1185©♪♫® 14:14, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
yeah ok fine.Shriram (talk) 14:15, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
Please don't take offence although I do appreciate your thoughtful gesture, thanks and best. --Dave ♠♣♥♦™№1185©♪♫® 14:20, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
ok done. But I'll correct if you point any such behaviour. I didn't get, if you have seen such attitude in my edit or just an advice. I'll surely follow such advice. Thank you. Shriram (talk) 14:34, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
  • No, I'm not saying that you have any wrongful behaviour, I just want you to learn from the experts and experienced editors by reading that. Anyway, its late over here, I'm going to catch some sleep soon. TTYL! --Dave ♠♣♥♦™№1185©♪♫® 17:42, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

unconstructive

Would you please first explain "unconstructive" before reverting anything without proper explanation? I was undoing your edit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.72.216.33 (talk) 10:54, 29 July 2011 (UTC)

I misunderstood your 'Groovy' as a slang. After your revert I came to know it was Object-oriented language alternative for Java platform. Even you could have mentioned what you did. Many patrollors like me may not know about that. Happy editing. Shriram (talk) 11:00, 29 July 2011 (UTC)

Orange Suede Sofa

He is making personal attacks on me too. Will you be blocking him or are you his eock-pupoet?109.150.32.113 (talk) 08:21, 31 July 2011 (UTC)

I'm not a sock-puppet or something. I was just observing your edit on his talk page. Be careful next time. Shriram (talk) 08:29, 31 July 2011 (UTC)

same place in india is higher then your list.

please check the highest town list.... because in india there are some town name dong and wati in arunachal pradesh is higher than your list...

thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Soham De (talkcontribs) 16:39, 31 July 2011 (UTC)

This is the edit you had done which I've reverted. [2]. Do you think it was constructive? Ask for yourself. Your good faith edits are welcome but that doesn't include blanking the page itself does it? Shriram (talk) 16:48, 31 July 2011 (UTC)

Page protection requests

Hi there! I've just declined your requests at WP:RPP, because the IP involved has been blocked. In cases like this, where it's just one IP on a vandalism binge, it's usually quicker to report them to WP:AIV, than ask for the page to be protected. If it was more than one IP, then page protection is the way to go. Keep up the good work on the patrolling! GedUK  13:58, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for that information. Shriram (talk) 14:00, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Regarding edits for Wilfred

Dear Ramajois,

I'm afraid you are completely wrong, my edits were not vandalism. As I've clicked on your profile, perhaps the problem is you're Indian and don't have full understanding of the nuances of the English language. If you watch the episode in question, you'll see that my revision is more accurate as to what occurred. I have a feeling you may have seen the word "sex" and got your knickers into a bind, but that's probably because you're Indian and are not fully qualified to edit English. This can be the only explanation. Why don't you just stick to Punjabi Wikipedia, or whatever language you truly understand, or take the time to watch the episode of "Wilfred" in question, and perhaps then you'll see the edit I did was not vandalism but a correct description of what the episode was actually about. A case can actually be made that your act of erasing my edit is the true vandal act here.

Regards... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.172.193.217 (talk) 19:16, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

If I have done a mistake just mention it, no need to be personal. I'm sure I'll correct. If you do not want to maintain your neutrality towards other editors, you can stay and watch wilfred instead of editing in wiki. Not every person like you will be watching every tv telecast. And be polite to others. Shriram (talk) 08:07, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
