Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did with this edit to Muhammad Sayyid Tantawy, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Tommy2010 02:38, 15 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

August 2010 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Habiba Sarabi, but we cannot accept original research. Original research also encompasses novel, unpublished syntheses of previously published material. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thank you. Deconstructhis (talk) 20:33, 13 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Looking over a smattering of your recent edits at least two major issues are apparent:
  1. Removal of large chunks of material, either referenced or not, needs to be accompanied with an explanation for the removal. While the intent may be to improve articles by removing tangential material or unneeded detail, constantly doing this can be seen as disruptive.
  2. Applying phrases, wording, or structure that impart a subjective POV push. Wikipedia articles are supposed to be presented as neutrally as possible, skewing the text should never be done. Also, some of the material you've added reads as your interpretation of material. This is contrary to WP:OR - as an editor you don't get to write, or re-write, an article to present your conclusions. Again, even if the intent is to improve the articles this is not allowable under Wikipedia guidelines and policy. And taken with the above concern, consistent editing in this mater not only will look like disruptive, but can be taken as vandalism.
Please keep these concerns in mind as you edit. And please, use edit summaries.
Thanks,
- J Greb (talk) 20:16, 16 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
