Zwites Buch edit

In regards to your question, one can reference to that claim on page 50 of Germany and the Two World Wars by Andreas Hillgruber, who in his turn according to his endnotes based those statements on page 130 of the German edition of Zwites Buch. Give a few more days, and I'll believe I found some more historians. Thank you for your good work, and have a wonderful day!--A.S. Brown (talk) 00:35, 13 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! A prominent historian like Hillgruber presumably wouldn't make an assertion like that without good grounds, but unfortunately I don't have a German-language copy of Zweites Buch readily available. Based on the page number you provided, he appears to be referencing either the chapter "Hopelessness of an Economic Solution" or "Nececessity for an Active Foreign Policy", neither of which seem to contain the cited information - unless the rough English version is missing vital pieces, which seems exceptionally sloppy. I hope you can find those other historians, because I can't confirm it until I have the german one at least.--Morgan Hauser (talk) 16:07, 18 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification edit

Hi. When you recently edited Nazi architecture, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Dacian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Renaming history of "Ukrainian-German collaboration during World War II" edit

Why has this page been moved? Why a clear title has been replaced with a very unclear title? Has this been discussed somewhere? What are "the Axis powers"?

Why has it been named "Ukrainian-Nazi collaboration during World War II"?

Oxy20 (talk) 21:15, 23 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hmm, that seems to have been done some time ago. In response to your questions:

Back then, I performed the title move to create consistency with the other articles on Soviet populations collaborating with the German and other Axis invaders of the USSR. See for instance Russian collaborationism with the Axis powers, Belarusian collaborationism with the Axis powers Turkic, Caucasian, Cossack, and Crimean collaborationism with the Axis powers. All three of those articles still need to be expanded significantly, but that is a matter for a different discussion. If you feel these titles are somehow unclear or incorrect, by all means, open up a discussion on these pages associated talk pages.

I'm not quite sure whether your question on what the Axis powers were was meant to be rhetorical or serious. Please state your point clearly rather than using sarcasm.

As far as I'm aware, this article has never been called "Ukrainian-Nazi collaboration during World War II".

I hope that was helpful to your queries.--Morgan Hauser (talk) 10:43, 25 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Denmark 'nominally unoccupied' in World War 2 ? edit

Your work File:Europe under Nazi domination.png categorizes Denmark as 'nominally unoccupied' in World War 2. This contradicts a number of WP:RS on Denmark in World War II as well as the two illustrations that you cite as source for your work, File:Second world war europe 1943-1945 map en.png and File:Second world war europe 1941-1942 map en.png. The opening paragraph of Denmark in World War II currently reads:

"During much of World War II, Denmark was occupied by Nazi Germany. The occupation began with Operation Weserübung on 9 April 1940, and lasted until German forces withdrew at the end of World War II following their surrender to the Allies on 5 May 1945."

Please modify your illustration to reflect this.

See also Talk:Sweden_during_World_War_II#Denmark_in_illustration_as_.22German_allies.2C_co-belligerents_and_puppet_states.22_.3F for a discussion regarding illustrations derived for your work.
