  2. Open Disk Manager (Run: C:\windows\System32\DiskMgmt.msc) (Assuming XP And Admin priveliges)
  3. Right Click on USB pen and click "Change Drive Letters and Paths"
  4. Add new drive letter that isn't normally used on your PC, e.g "Y:"
  5. Remove old drive letter
  6. Open TweakUI
  7. Enable AutoPlay settings for the Y: Drive (or whatever letter you chose)

Imbed Images edit

How can I embed images when I post questions? I am unsure how the Imbed Image icon works. --Mayfare 18:20, 22 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

No, I'm not. I'm not related to Pheonix either but I'd like to usurp his name--Pheonix15 15:13, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

Re: Cryptographic Hash Function edit

Yep, you should type your hash sum in the template, not the unencrypted string. (You would present the unencrypted string if your identity came into question.) I am not familiar with any software that does encryption, but there are JavaScript calculators online (there are also calculators that send results to a server by form submission, but these may be unsafe.) StatusBot and Help Desk edit

Yeah, StatusBot has been down for a while now. Very disappointing. Anyway, no problem about the question, just trying to help out the newbies. :) If you have any other questions about using Wikipedia or anything, go ahead and drop me a line on my talk page! Opinions About Vandal Proof edit

Hello. I only need a few opinions before I apply for Vandal Proof. Please leave this {{help me}} message as I need more than one opinion. Thanks very much. --Mayfare 17:44, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unfortunately, but speaking from personal experiences, they won't accept you. Check out your edit count, I'm afraid you don't have enough. RyanLupin (talk/contribs) 17:53, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
You will unlikely be accepted as per its requirements. KTC 18:01, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Reading User:AmiDaniel/VandalProof, It doesn't sound like you can get denied VP. It looks like you just download it. Am I missing something? - Rjd0060 18:11, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Oh, there it is. Sorry - Rjd0060 18:11, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
So in conclusion, you're more than welcome to apply, you have nothing to lose but they are VERY strict with who they accept. I applied very recently, I have over 2,300 edits, one of my sole purposes is to tackle vandalism, I've never had any trouble with members, edit wars, personal attacks, yet they still rejected me. So my recommendation, wait a few weeks or months, boost up your edit count and apply once you've accumulated sufficient edits. Sorry. RyanLupin (talk/contribs) 18:44, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
I got permission when I only had 1400 edits. I think that moderators may be more familier witgh some users than others and know that those users won't go berserk. Or maybeI just know the right people...--Phoenix 15 (Talk) 18:49, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Ryan, try speeking to one of the mods, you should not have a problem being accepted. I am accepted, and have used it. If it worked as described, it would be great, but in my option, it is not all it cracks up to be. Tiddly-Tom 19:01, 17 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ordered Pairs Using Math edit

{{help}} Hello. How can I make ordered pairs using Wikipedia:Math? I want to include a comma between the x and y values (both values are fractions) with which I am having difficulty. Thank you in advance. --Mayfare 00:55, 2 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi Mayfare, I notice this request has been up for quite a while, and as most of us who patrol the folks needing help may not be math experts, I am going to request that you ask your question at the Village pump, where you'll be much more likely to get assistance from an expert on the math formulas. Cheers! ArielGold 01:45, 2 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
As no one ever seems to have addressed this: ordered pairs of anything are easy. For example:  ; note the \left and \right to make the containing parentheses tall. Perhaps you were having trouble with \over, which has trickier "around" scope bounded by braces rather than taking arguments delimited by braces? --Tardis (talk) 15:19, 18 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

FirstClass edit

Hi. You posted on the Tech Ref. desk a few days ago, and my solution is there [1] KelvinHOWiknerd(talk) 12:03, 1 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Contact your FC administrator or Tech Support for your company; I've seen this problem before, but I'm not sure how I can help... By the way, is the address in the email that you got from yourself called "noreply" or something like it? --KelvinHOWiknerd(talk) 01:30, 2 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Can you reply to that mail? --KelvinHOWiknerd(talk) 13:47, 2 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Then there's little I can do... except to tell you to contact your network admin/tech department.(sorry) ---KelvinHOWiknerd(talk) 12:32, 3 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
