psychological or emotional neglect edit
Hi MaxR,
I have read some of the research literature on psychological or emotional neglect and I find the Wikipedia articles, particularly Neglect and Child neglect lacking. Child neglect article edit
Great work, MaxR - I'm grateful. I don't understand the beginning of the article, however. It seems to me as though it means to present different definitions of neglect, however I see number 2) only as information and not as a definition. The same might apply to number 3). More importantly though, don't you think it would be appropriate to also have a section on consequences? In addition I think the article lacks something on prevention, policy, possible antidotes, the phenomenon of psychological unavailability, information about neglect also occurring outside of poverty and neglect in relation to attachment theory. - Lavinia, thanking other users for their work is a great habit to be in, so that's great. It's a given that any article can be improved. The best way to bring this about is to make suggestions on the Talk page of the article. Since MaxR has edited the page, presumably he is watching changes to the page, and so are other other editors who might be able to help. Suggesting improvements to the structure is fine, and even better is to cite reliable sources - usually books and papers - that can be used to improve the article. Of course, you can be bold and summarise those sources yourself. It's nobody's individual responsibility to improve the article; it's a community effort.
