Thanks for helping my English spelling at SL ferries, the "r" in "headquarters" surelly is difficult for a person whose native language is Swedish (Scanian dialect). I usually self-patrol my larger edits after a week or so. During the first couple of days, reading my own text for grammar or spelling errors is next to impossible, as the mind kind of play some tricks. Hi. Thanks for patrolling recent changes. I have blocked 80.42.139.70 (talk · contribs) after they disregarded your warning, but if a user or IP has no previous warnings you should not normally go straight to a Level 4 final warning - only in extreme cases like attack pages. Otherwise, if there have been no previous warnings, start on Level 1 (assuming good faith) or, if the edit is obviously not made in good faith, level 2. That would have been appropriate here. Tricks of the trade

If the language isn't obvious, drop it into Google Translate and select Detect language. If that doesn't come up with anything, drop a bit of the thing into Google. This can often give clues by the domain extensions, or other things. And if the whole bit comes up, you may well have a copyvio to tag... Peridon (talk) 14:11, 27 January 2015 (UTC)

I can suggest a few things based on the talk page. If you see an article that you feel does not fit the criteria for notability and feel it does not need a stand alone, there are procedures that are within guidelines for merging without a proposal. It generally depends on if it will be a controversial or contentious merge that would be disputed or debated such as when there are active editors working on the article. You can also redirect an article without merging content if you feel it is already covered and there is no original content in the article instead of proposing a deletion if the title is an alternative search option such as a slightly different spelling that is still accurate but perhaps uses special characters (although the use of such characters is permitted, so sometimes it is better request an admin move non-controversial articles to merge the history) or vice versa. My source is the Korean Movie Database entry for How to Steal a Dog [1], though the character names are in Hangul and I translated them into English for the film's Wikipedia article. You added a citation request to Kyakhta trade. My POV is that Wikipedia in currently adding too many footnotes. Footnotes are only needed when the information cannot be found in the index of the main source or there is some other problem. As far as I can see the article does not need more footnotes. I'm just letting you know, however, that you shouldn't tag pages as lacking context (CSD A1), or content (CSD A3), moments after they are created, as you did at Broker maritime. It's best to wait at least 10–15 minutes for more content to be added if the page is very short, and the articles should not be marked as patrolled. Tagging such pages in a very short space of time may drive away well-meaning contributors, which is not good for Wikipedia. Attack pages (G10), blatant nonsense (G1), copyright violations (G12) and pure vandalism/blatant hoaxes (G3) should of course be tagged and deleted immediately. Turkey slap: I would like to understand why you reinstated unsupported controversial material

I would love to know the reason why my change was reverted, so I can avoid making whatever mistake it was in the future. I edited the article Turkey slap to remove ", also called Turkish slap". That phrase had been removed previously by another editor, but put back in my the original editor without comment. Sp I checked and confirmed, as the previous person who deleted it said, that it was not supported by any of the references, so I removed it again. Hi Gronk Oz It was not your change which i wanted to revert but changes of Arzole on whose edits you had changed. So reverted back to last stable edit before Arzole's . You reverted the change to the Fairy Tail episode title "Fairy Tail of the Dead Meeeeeeeeen" (and for some reason, the episode synopsis of the episode that had just aired last night), asking for a source. Here is [2]. Juzumaru couldn't presented reliable reason, source, and even he was blocked for his view on Korea. I understand that it's a difficult to reliable. Battle of Trafalgar in 1805 article described as "British naval fleet led by Admiral Horatio Nelson defeats", it is not mentioned about the other commanders. This may not interest you, so if it doesn't, just ignore it. You warned an IP a little while ago for an edit to an article on my watchlist. I clicked on the WHOIS link to see what I could find, and noted that there was an acronym and a website link. That turned out to be an educational internet supplier, so I then added that name as a shared educational IP to the IP's talk page. And then, as I'm an Admin, did a school block. When we can identify an IP address with an organisation we can be pretty sure that blocking it will help as the IP address isn't likely to be assigned to someone else shortly. Hi Goranot89 Keep in mind that do not copy paste the content from some website. Another thing if you have WP:COI then please do not write the article as you may be biased. Formatting using Advisor.js

Hi, I noticed that you tried to format the article United States using an automated tool. I'm pretty sure you clicked fix for every problem it displayed on the toolbar. Next time please don't do so while Advisor.js scans the entire article for formatting errors there are some parts which aren't meant to be formatted. For example image links, citations, templates, talk pages and URLs. When looking at your contributions I can see that you performed lots of edits using Advisor.js. Assuming that you didn't check those article twice I'm going to comb through your edits in order to fix if you have made more errors. I hope you'll help me out in the process. I'm not saying that Advisor.js is a bad tool. In fact I use it too. But next time be careful not to format HTML content and templates. Thank you--Chamith (talk) 08:04, 6 May 2015 (UTC)

Youre contributions are well appreciated, however, both criteria for notability and the action for non-notable schools in the entire schools of india page set is currently under consensus discussion at Wikipedia_talk:Noticeboard_for_India-related_topics#Schools_in_India_-_overview . Please go through the discussion and wait for consensus to be reached. Till then I think its in the bets interests to rollback the 4-5 edits youve mad eon the various school pages. Also, you have simply removed the redlink list items, a few of them may even have verifiable sources or wiki pages which are just not linked.

Non-notable schools can be

1. Removed
2. Shifted to talk page.

Also Notability can be defined by

1. having a wiki article
2. having a citable source

As another person who patrols new articles and tags them, I would suggest that if mundane Wikipedia maintenance activities agitate you enough to scold a person who performs them, then perhaps it's you who needs to relax and calm down enough to recognize that that's routine procedure around here. I don't know how often a couple of hours makes a difference. What is the likelihood that someone is going to go out of his way to link other article to a new article? Of course, it would be more likely if we had a way to make it so that people interested in precisely that activity, creating links to new articles, had a way to see, listed in one place, a list of all such articles that are orphans .... :-p

It does feel to me as though you see tagging as punitive rather than helpful, and therefore something to be held off on until one is confident of its necessity. I feel the opposite. What is it that one would be holding off for?

Hi Seligne I do understand your concerns but what i gather from experience is that many articles are created by new Wikipedians. And most of them would have no idea as to what Orphan articles are. So if tags are placed they come back and ask how to eradicate this, or some one else will de-orphan those. I even after some time try to cross check articles tagged as orphan and try to de-orphan them. I do not see any reason as to how this showed that i am agitated. Is "screenarist" a proper English word? I couldn't find anything in Google. In this case, the subject wrote the screenplay for one particular film which makes him a "scenarist" but not a "screen artist" or "screenarist", whatever they are supposed to mean. Hi TheRightOfKnowledge Not exactly, you can give refs in non-English also. See Wikipedia:NOENG but "English-language sources are preferred over non-English ones whenever English sources of equal quality and relevance are available".
