Tabloid style

Hi, it is regarding this and similar edits by this user. I find them tabloid-y. Also see this one, a lot has been added lately. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:58, 18 January 2024 (UTC)

Oh yea, very much so. I recently undid some of their tabloid-style writing on Emraan Hashmi's page. Krimuk2.0 (talk) 11:24, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
Possibly a sock? - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:02, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
Most likely. But at this moment, I'm really not sure of whose. There's way too many possibilities. Sigh! Krimuk2.0 (talk) 17:54, 18 January 2024 (UTC)

Another article [1], this looks like a POV from a user mostly working in a particular area (Telugu films). - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 13:41, 21 January 2024 (UTC)

Another concern in the above edit by that user was arrangement. Isn't the 1976 Tamil movie be mentioned first? This user moved the whole Telugu related section to the top. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:11, 21 January 2024 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

Dual roles

In film cast sections, actors playing multiple roles should not be listed as

  • Ranbir Kapoor in a dual role as
    • Rannvijay Singh
    • Aziz Haque

right? Simply *Actor as character and character is right? But this is a pan-Indian problem that I'm not able to permanently erase, as evident here.

Yea, it's very annoying tbh. Impossible to win against these IPs & socks tho when there is very little admin support. Krimuk2.0 (talk) 10:50, 29 January 2024 (UTC)

Prabhas

Would be nice if you could take a look at this article. Apart from this particular set of edits, I believe the article needs some copyedit/cleanup. Thanks. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 14:51, 7 February 2024 (UTC)

Andrew Garfield reverts

An editor can remove any message from their talk page. Removal of messages such as this simply mean that the editor has seen and read then. Lard Almighty (talk) 21:04, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
When I had done this previously I had admins breathing down my neck threatening to ban me for doing the same, unless that was an admin abusing power I'm not sure. But that is what I have known regarding removing messages, especially ones of that height. Spooderman6920 (talk) 13:18, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
As noted on your talk page, the warning was completely inappropriate. It was perfectly reasonable to remove it. Lard Almighty (talk) 13:51, 22 March 2024 (UTC)

Requesting some article expansion help

Greetings @Krimuk2.0

Hi, I am User:Bookku, On Wikipedia I engage in, finding information and knowledge gap areas in Wikipedia and promoting expansion of related drafts and articles. Came across your user profile (from recent article history Deepika Padukone) .

Requesting your visit to My Choice (2015 film) (still a draft in my userspace) and help expand the topic areas if you find topic interesting. Wish you very happy Wikipedia editing.

Thanks and warm regards

Bookku (talk) 09:37, 5 April 2024 (UTC)

Crew (film)

I had a look at Crew (film) in connection with your request for page protection. If it were semi-protected, it would have prevented the addition of the plot summary, which appears to be a good addition, so I did not protect it. I wondered if the plot summary was a copyvio but Earwig does not flag it up as one. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 11:21, 5 April 2024 (UTC)

Hi Cwmhiraeth, the issue is IPs lowering the budget again and again, as well as spamming IMDB links of "casting department" in the production section. Krimuk2.0 (talk) 11:32, 5 April 2024 (UTC)

Sunny Deol Signature

Why did you remove it from his page? Parminder Sarwara (talk) 01:44, 6 April 2024 (UTC)

Brie Larson

The above article belongs to FA-class hence the "Citation needed" tag that I was compelled to add today would not be a good addition to the page. As a prominent contributor to the article and the individual responsible for its attainment of FA status, I kindly request that you address the issue at your earliest convenience. Additionally, I believe the adjustments I made to the captions are satisfactory. Should you wish to revert them, I suggest we engage in discussion on the talk page beforehand. I eagerly await your response. Regards MSincccc (talk) 11:39, 21 March 2024 (UTC)

"compelled to add" for what, exactly? Also, please understand that per WP:BRD and WP:STATUSQUO the article should remain in its stable version until a consensus is reached. Krimuk2.0 (talk) 11:46, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
@Krimuk2.0 Well I was only trying to help. I honestly don't understand why do you want to keep on mentioning "Larson" in the image captions when its clear that we are referring to only her for two reasons:1)The article is her biography and 2) Its an image in which is featured alone. Had it been a group photograph, I would have agreed with you. Regards and good luck with your future endeavours, MSincccc (talk) 12:10, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
Because beginning a caption with "at" reads poorly. I'm not questioning your intentions here, please don't misunderstand. Krimuk2.0 (talk) 12:11, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
I also assume good faith. By the way, one user whom I know very well and with whom I have collaborated had nominated Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's article for GA. Nobody has still taken it up for review. I thought that you could help given you are familiar with articles related to the Hindi film industry. I don't know a thing about that being focused on European (mostly British) articles. Regards MSincccc (talk) 12:16, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
Ah, I've been one of the most regular contributors on Rai Bachchan's page, and am familiar with Keivan's work on it. But I guess my reviewing it would be a conflict of interest, given my own work on it. Krimuk2.0 (talk) 12:19, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
@Krimuk2.0 I know you will not be reviewing the article but would you mind me reviewing it? Regards MSincccc (talk) 12:23, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
Why would I mind? Please go ahead. Krimuk2.0 (talk) 12:33, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
But it’s a pretty long article. I know nothing about Indian films and whoever this person is. Just that Keivan has made major contributions to it recently. Regards MSincccc (talk) 12:44, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
I'm gonna act like a WikiJaguar and add my own comment. Nobody doubts Krimuk2.0's qualifications to review an article, but given his extensive involvement with the page in question he simply cannot serve as the reviewer. I could not do it either if I were not the nominator. That being said, if this is a topic or person that you're not familiar with, then I would suggest you leave the review to a user who might be more qualified in terms of knowledge about Indian cinema/actors. That way he/she could point out the flaws and issues more easily. I don't know, maybe some uninvolved editor at WP:ICTF could be asked to carry the review. At the end of the day, I just want the review to be fair and transparent so that no one would question the article's status in the future. Keivan.fTalk 01:38, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
I'd say either Shshshsh or FrB.TG would be the best ones to review it, if they have some time. Krimuk2.0 (talk) 06:20, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
Very happy to see that someone has finally worked on her article to try to bring it to GA level. I'll see if I can find time to review it. FrB.TG (talk) 11:47, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
@FrB.TG Apologies for the delayed response. Forgot to subscribe to this section. I'm very glad that you're considering reviewing the article. Hopefully you'll find some time to spare for the review. Keivan.fTalk 05:42, 6 April 2024 (UTC)
