Hello again Keegan. If you have a minute, can you take a look at T3h 1337 b0y's contributions page? Am I missing something, or is this user doing some odd rule breaking? I AfD/CSD'd some of the redirects that seemed to be blatant violations, but I don't know about some of the other stuff. Probably the strangest list of contributions I've ever seen. Just to clarify something going forwards - we don't want to let people think that they can blackmail WP or its editors by threatening them that way. Straight kick to OTRS legal queue with a "I cannot help you anymore goodbye" is the appropriate response...

A bit more

I'm a bit late in getting back to this as RL was busy yesterday. As the first editor who voiced concern, I need to respond to your comment, "hope that you all will consider my contribution history and history here, and please understand that the action taken was for a specific reason." I absolutely do and I hold you in the highest esteem. Frankly it takes a lot of courage and conviction to IAR as an administrator when you're doing something you know is right, regardless of what the drama on ANI says. I've done it myself once or twice and was somewhat chewed up on ANI for it (In my case, reporting TOV).

As I said, based on the information presented, it looked like a bad deletion. You had more info and it was apparently not a bad deletion. For that, I salute you as an esteemed fellow Wikipedian.

My RfA Thank you for participating in my "RecFA", which passed with a final tally of 153/39/22. There were issues raised regarding my adminship that I intend to cogitate upon, but I am grateful for the very many supportive comments I received and for the efforts of certain editors (Ceoil, Noroton and Lar especially) in responding to some issues. I wish to note how humbled I was when I read Buster7's support comment, although a fair majority gave me great pleasure. I would also note those whose opposes or neutral were based in process concerns and who otherwise commented kindly in regard to my record. I recognise that the process itself was unusual, and the format was generally considered questionable - and I accept that I was mistaken in my perception of how it would be received - but I am particularly grateful for those whose opposes and neutrals were based in perceptions of how I was not performing to the standards expected of an administrator. As much as the support I received, those comments are hopefully going to allow me to be a better contributor to the project. Thank you. Very much. Stealth

Words are ambiguous. Sorry about the misunderstanding. I remember reading that stealth for advanced fighters and bombers was effective with advanced radar but that it could be foiled with something simple like sonar, or some other basic means. Keegan, I saw your comment about Requests for Comment at WP:AN. Was that a suggestion for where to bring up issues on violations of NPOV? I've only seen RfCs on particular editors. To keep a long story short, redirects should only exist to point to something in the same project space. Userpage to another userpage, Article to another article, template to template, etc. There are other ways of making shortcuts. You can even just [[]] the article name and click it. Ashcroft Manor Ranch

I add this for good reason:

The Ashcroft Ranch is one of two locations proposed for a new waste storage facility for Greater Vancouver, the other being the old Logan Lake mine pit nearby on the Thompson Plateau to the southeast.

I haven't had occasion to look up local newspaper - and major Vancouver newspaper - articles, but cites are available; it was because of the controversy around the use of Ashcroft Manor, which between its history and its delicate climate, that the mayor of Logan Lake and the operators of the Highland Valley Mine offered their "pit" for use as a landfill (Highland Valley Copper is an immense strip mine, in fact visible from orbit as a white "arc" that you'll find on GoogleEarth between Ashcroft and Logan Lake). The mine is "done" now....the GVRD ignored the offer, so far anyway, with no reason given though extra mileage might have been a concern (all of 20 miles), and routing would have had tobe through the town of Ashcroft or, alternately, via Merritt......Skookum1 (talk) 12:06, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Blocked user check/Hullaballoo Wolfowitz

Hi Keegan,

Thank you for your response about editor user:Hullaballoo Wolfowitz. I understand how annoying it is that a few editors are once again bringing up issues about his uncivil behavior but because some of us are not as knowledgeable about about wiki conflict resolution, our initial thought was to get those who were involved. I personally apologize but a lot of it is actually a bit confusing. Because Hullaballoo is well versed in policy his uses it to attacks us constantly.

My last request (and I won't bother you from here on out) is that there is a blocked user check. This issue was brought up but never verified. [1]

What about this. If a user takes something off ones talk page (something they wrote) because an issue has been resolved... can the person (who's talk page it is) revert just to be a jerk?

Ugh, this is so annoying. I'm sorry. I know it seems like I'm obsessed with this but the minute I start editing again user Hullballoo will be down my throat with uncivil talk - asking for a block on me. This seems to be my only recourse as I like wikipedia, editing, and there's no doubt in my head that this user is gaming the system for his own weird bias and agenda.
