Hi Kathovo. I am removing content from this article because I have discovered that much of the material I put there is either unverifiable or definitely untrue. I think it's be best to have the article removed entirely. Greetings Kathovo. I AM Don Elwell, and a former student informed me that the page, originally set up for me by aerialbear and subsequently modified, had been gutted by him as "unverifiable". Please note this is apparently a personal conflict between myself and the individual in question (I was frankly rather stunned) and in no way should reflect on the people with whom I've worked over the years. Aerialbear has not attempted to contact me for any kind of verification or citational material, nor have we been in communication since last year. Kathovo, PLEASE RESPOND!!! I have an idea that I think everyone will love!!!

I do not mean to bother you, but I have a great idea that everyone will love!

I will put my improved map of the Sasanian Empire that shows the empire at it's greatest extent as the principle image of the article about the empire:

BUT! I will put this new map that I recently made on 3 articles! The first one being the Byzantine Sassanid War 602-628, the second being the Roman-Persian Wars and the third being the "Secong Goldern Era" section of the Sasanian Empire article. Here is the new map:

Undoing revision on Nineveh

Although your action has been reversed by one more authorised to deal with the matter, or perhaps simply one more sensible than you, I found it an uncomfortable encounter and have questions for you, as it appears you deem yourself quite the editor. On what basis did you assert that my revision, adding the Kurdish name of Nineveh, was able to be challenged, and your assertion that Nineveh is not located in Kurdistan? Are you aware that you are wrong? Did you do any research prior to your action? Did you know your action was falsely based? The main reason I reverted is because you claimed Nineveh was in Kurdistan, which is plain wrong. I happen to have been born a few kilometres from Mosul, the largest Arab city in upper Mesopotamia, and I have seen the ruins of Nineveh literally hundreds of time, I don't need to do a research to know its location.--Kathovo talk 13:15, 25 July 2013 (UTC)

I don't quite understand your reasoning here. Your assertion stands in stark contrast with the geographic and demographic reality in place. Nineveh is located well within modern Kurdistan, and though you may object to that fact, you have no right, I repeat no right to forward your ideological leanings, especially as they stand in contrast to verifiable fact, as they well do. Whatever your feelings toward Kurds or Kurdistan may be, however much you may reject the existence of Kurdistan beyond belief and reason, you, as an editor on this encyclopedia, have a duty to act scrupulously and ethically. By the way, where have I claimed Kurdistan didn't exist? let's assume I'm completely ignorant of the geography of my birthplace, could you produce reputable references to support your claims? I posted my response on the Sasanian Empire talk page! Hopefully a consensus will be reached. Also, I have a question about editing my user page.

So I went on to the Sasanian Empire talk page and posted my response and I pretty much posted what I said to you on my talk page on the article's talk page. I probably should have admitted this when I was brand new to Wikipedia, but I do not have good online etiquette when it comes to communicating with others. With that being said, I apologized to everyone in bold letters on the talk page of the article in case if I sounded rude when made my response on the talk page. But none of the less, I hope a consensus will be reached. I told everyone that if none of us can reach a consensus, then we might have no choice but to use WP:DR. Anyway, I will be adding my interests to my user page. Speaking of which, how do I put my interests on my user page. I have managed to put only a few on there, but when I try to put my interests in the future and Science fiction as well as prehistory, it doesn't appear. At least, not like how the others appeared on my user page. How can I put all of my interests on my user page without them being red saying "Page does not exist"? Quick update! No one has responded to my latest comment on the talk page of the Sasanian Empire article. I have cited more sources to back up my map as well. User Rupert Clayton had told me long ago that if no one responds to me within a reasonable time, I should be bold and make my change. I hope I am not bothering you right now and if I am then I would like to say that I am sorry for doing so, but as I posted above, no one has responded to my latest comment on the Sasanian Empire talk page. I added more sources which are actual books that I have read at my local libraries. A long time ago a user named Rupert Clayton went on to my talk page about eiditing articles and told me that if no one responds within a reasonable time that I should be bold and make my change. With all of that being said, should I put up my map as the infobox image of the article now? Kathovo! It was not my work. I was trying to help a student who wanted to stress that there had been a Jewish presence in Cizre BESIDES THE Muslims and THE CHRISTIANS WHO LIVE THERE NOW. This is what she added:

"Up until 1950 this town was populated as well by Jews. Most of the Jews. Have left following the massacre of Syrian and Armenian. For instance attached a passport of Mr. And Mrs. Meir Glisko who was born in Jezira in1900."

Kathovo! Hope I am not bothering you, but please respond to this thread. It is about a new topic about 2 early modern (16-18th century) dynasties of Iran.

I am now on a new topic that is my latest and grandest proposal. It is about the Afsharid Dynasty (1736-1796) and the Safavid Dynasty (1501-1736). I originally was planning on merging those two articles together, but I have reformed/rephrased my proposal and I have instead decided to create an entirely new article created called "Third Persian Empire" or "Early Modern Persian Empire" that would be specifically about the Safavid and Afsharid Empires. Many people call these dynasties Empires because of the immense territory they possessed. When people type "Early Modern Persian Empire" or "Early Modern Persia", it will redirect them to my new article. In the article I will have links to the current articles that are called the "Safavid Dynasty" and the "Afsharid Dynasty". I will add sections to the article that will have links to the Safavid and Afsharid Dynasty articles. I have gotten into an argument with a user named Folantin. For some reason he opposes the proposal which is why I am bringing this topic up on your talk page. I wanted to know your thoughts on this proposal, whether you oppose or support my proposal. This is also on my talk page, but no one has responded to it on there. You do not have to visit and comment on my talk page about this, but I would like a response from you none of the less. I have finally created my first article:List of species rumored/believed to still be alive and I honestly did not expect for it to be nominated for deletion so quickly. There are many species that are rumored to still be alive ranging from prehistoric to modern day. Currently there is a heated debate hereWikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of species rumored/believed to still be alive on whether it should be deleted or not. I of course voted to keep the article whereas other are wanting to redirect it to Lists of cryptids. I was wondering what your thoughts on this new article are. Been awhile. Just wanted to know your thoughts on an old topic.

I's been awhile since I have reviewed this topic. I recently made a request on the Wikipedia Map Workshop for a new map of the Sasanian Empire and when I did so, I told them the entire story and they took a look at all of the discussions and debates on the talk page of the article including the most recent one that was started by me when I was a new user on Wikipedia. They then proceeded to tell me to do the following:

• Start a new, calm, well thought out discussion on the article talk page for just this purpose, contribute your own position, and let other editors contribute theirs.
• If you can achieve a proper consensus amongst editors as to exactly what this map should show, then link this request to that consensus.

So I did exactly as they asked. Here is the link to the new discussion:

Also on a side note, the entire reason why I started the topic "The map of the Sassanid Empire" in the first place is because I was a new user and jumped straight into map making and then later on and after the edit war was over, I saw the map of the Achaemenid Empire here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:AchaemenidEmpireTerritorialExpanision.jpg and I thought that the current map of the Sasanian Empire:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:SassanianEmpireHistoryofIran.png was ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC in comparison. So I went to the Wikipedia Map Workshop and made a request to either make an improved and more accurate version of my map:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:The_Sasanian_Persian_Empire_ca._620_A.D.jpg(which HistoryofIran called ugly with low quality) OR make an entirely new map of the Sasanian Empire altogether! Regarding your change on Malatya and comment 'next time read image description before "correcting"' please note that the picture might be Byzantine but the description was incorrect. The battle ended with the defeat of the Byzantines and the taking of the fort. I hope we have no misunderstandig.

The image in question belongs to the Madrid Skylitzes, this manuscript depicted events from 811 to 1057, that is well before the rise of theDanishmend. Now, if you had done your research properly you would've easily came to the conclusion that it didn't fall to the Turks until1101.--Kathovo talk 14:24, 23 September 2013 (UTC)

RE: Ahvaz

On September 30th, seeing that the majority of Ahvaz's inhabitants are Arabic speakers and that they had their own name (الأحواز)(romanized as al-ʾAḥwāz) for the city, I had added the Arabic version as well as its Romanization. A few hours later you undid my addition and referred to my contribution as "vandalism".
Many Israeli cities are found in Wikipedia which list both the Hebrew as well as the Arabic names of those cities (e.g. Nazareth, Acre,Haifa, Jaffa, Tel Aviv, Ashdod, Beersheba, Ashkelon, etc), presumably on the basis that the Arabic names are used by the Arabic speaking population of those officially Hebrew speaking cities.
I doubt that the addition of those Arabic versions of the names is the work of "vandals".

The situation with Ahwaz is the same. Although Ahwaz is undoubtedly controlled by Iran and currently falls within its borders, nevertheless its population is mainly Arabic speaking and there is an Arabic name for the city.

In light of this, how can you justify calling my contribution, which consisted only of adding further accurate information to the article, "vandalism"?

Even distinguished Persian writer Abbas Mīlānī, writing as recently as 2008 in his Eminent Persians : the men and women who made modern Iran, 1941 - 1979 Vol. 1 refers to the city by the romanization of its Arabic name. On the Al-Anfal Campaign

Kathovo,
