Your message on my talk page edit

Thanks for the message. The key policy on such issues is that relating to biographies of living people. This policy applies not only to biographical articles but to all parts of Wikipedia. Basically it says that potentially controversial statements about living people should be supported by references to reliable sources. In this particular case, I have no idea whether the cited sources are reliable or not. There is a noticeboard specifically for dealing with such issues and you will find it at WP:BLPN. There is also a process set out at WP:BIOSELF for taking the matter further. A couple of additional points: first, the guidelines about personal attacks are aimed at attacks on talk pages and other non-article pages; second, you will make more progress in resolving your issues if you try to do so in the spirit of consensus - making threats and issuing warnings such as "warning to all wikipedia users and editors" does not help. – ukexpat (talk) 13:38, 18 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

There is not much I can do about this, please raise your concerns at WP:BLPN. – ukexpat (talk) 16:45, 18 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Editing information pertaining to yourself edit

  Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest.   1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you.

  Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you must sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 15:32, 18 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

August 2010 edit

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on False titles of nobility. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Yopie (talk) 19:28, 18 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

  This is the final warning that you will receive regarding your disruptive edits, such as this edit you made to False titles of nobility. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing without further notice. Donald Duck (talk) 20:00, 18 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Edit warring at False titles of nobility edit

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for your disruption caused by edit warring and violation of the three-revert rule at False titles of nobility. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

The complete report of this case is at WP:AN3#User:Karlvondeutschland reported by User:Yopie (Result: 24h). EdJohnston (talk) 01:09, 19 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

  This is the only warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits.
The next time you remove or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia, as you did to Talk:False titles of nobility, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Yopie (talk) 09:37, 20 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Can you explain why you are attempting to sign your posts as Edward Goff? It appears to be false and disruptive and is likely to lead to your being blocked indefinitely from participating in Wikipedia.--Kubigula (talk) 19:19, 20 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
Despite several warnings, your editing has been completely unacceptable. Accordingly, I have blocked this account indefinitely. You can appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.--Kubigula (talk) 19:29, 20 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
