Image without license edit

Unspecified source/license for Image:WishUponAStarPoster.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:WishUponAStarPoster.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Image source problem with Image:Thiessen92.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Thiessen92.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 23:59, 20 November 2008 (UTC). Image permission problem with Image:Rihanna disturbia08VMAs.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Rihanna disturbia08VMAs.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Musamies (talk) 03:00, 6 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Image deleted, copyright and getting the message, edit

Jimarey, I've just deleted the image listed above as a clear copyright violation. You listed it here as freely licenced with no justification. I see that all of your uploaded images have been deleted in the past and yet you still don't seem to have got a handle on the image policy here. Perhaps some clear communication is required ? If you find an image on the web, and it is not patently clear that the image is free, and you then upload it here with a free licence....you are in breach of the image's copyright and you may be blocked from editing this site or uploading further. I hope that this is clear enough. Please drop me a note if I have misunderstood something here or you require some clarification - Peripitus (Talk) 05:58, 7 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I'm not sure if you realize this, but when you keep making small edits to the same page it really clogs the history page up, such is the case with the Rajon Rondo page. If you could just try to make the edits you need to make with one edit as opposed to many, it would be much appreciated.--Henry talk 18:20, 14 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Rihanna edit

You may want to consider trimming down the Musical Style and Public image sections. They are unusually large for the size of the rest of the biography. Subjects like Michael Jackson have been around for half a century which warrants extensive coverage of style, but Rihanna's been around for 4 years. Try reducing the amount of info to the bare essentials and move the extra details to the main album articles. You want the article to be comprehensive, but not start to ramble and repeat itself. The Bookkeeper (of the Occult) 17:44, 21 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fantasy Ride edit

Please can you stop making trivial changes to Fantasy Ride. There is nothing wrong with the headings being listed the way they are. The changes you made to the track-lisitng also had to be painstakingly reverted because they were trivial and added little if no valid value to the article nor any improvement. (Lil-unique1 (talk) 16:30, 29 August 2009 (UTC))Reply

3RR edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Rihanna. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. —Kww(talk) 21:29, 13 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

You've been doing it again. In the near future, I don't want to see you revert a change again without providing an explanation in the edit summary, at the very least! Continued edit warring will lead to your account being blocked. If you're interested in collaborative editing on Wikipedia, I invite you to read the "bold, revert, discuss" edit principle that is usually applied.
Amalthea 20:36, 20 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
Sadly, you went right back to it. I've blocked your account for 48 hours for continued edit warring. Hopefully you'll work with editors collaboratively in the future, even if you disagree with them. The only way to permanently resolve such conflicts is through talk page discussion anyway. Amalthea 06:32, 21 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
Since at least the Rihanna article has been fully protected now, I've unblocked you so that you are able to take part in the discussion about the lead.
Please make sure though to use edit summaries in the future, or explain your reverts on the talk page if they are not obvious. Amalthea 16:09, 21 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
I am very unhappy that you still revert changes without even a hint to a reason in edit summary or talk page discussions.
I may ultimately agree with parts of your changes, but that doesn't change that you method is wrong! I ask you again, please make sure to explain reversions in the edit summary at least. Continued edit warring will lead to another block!
Amalthea 19:59, 27 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

← ... and now you've reverted my change, as always in the complete absence of an explanation in the edit summary, while I instead explicitly stated my rationale of removing the italic font style in mine: "TBA" is not the title of the album, thus per WP:ITALICS, it is not to be italicized. Can you be convinced to explain your modification here, or on the articles talk page please? Otherwise I will undo you and trust that you agree with me.
I've had quite enough with your edit warring, by the way. If you can't be bothered to explain your edits while you keep on reverting without any attempt at communication, I will escalate this further. Amalthea 19:58, 19 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

The header for the tour section should be kept as "Tour", as the prose under it already has "Main Article:Rated R Tour". As for the artwork sec., it discusses the album cover and a "campaign" dealing with the artwork, both of which seem to be used to promote the album. Dan56 (talk) 03:33, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Photo order on Rihanna edit

Hello, Jimarey

I've been watching the back-and-forth with the photos in the 2007–2008: Good Girl Gone Bad era section of Rihanna, and I don't see why you keep reverting. The other editor you're edit-warring with, User:JuventiniFan, has provided a good rationale for the order of the pictures you don't like. Since you don't ever {hey!) provide an edit summary, it's impossible to know why you prefer the images in reverse chronological order, mismatched with what appears to be the wrong paragraphs. Could you explain please, either here or on the article's talk page? Thanks, — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 20:53, 27 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

March 2010 edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When you make a change to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Rihanna. It's funny how you keep forgetting...

Jimarey, I didn't hear anything after my note above, but you reverted the edits again (twice now), again without any explanation. I see you have been advised about this before (here, here, and again by myself here), but you seem to insist on continuing this behavior, which can only be seen as uncooperative. My perception is that your refusal to explain your concerns or reasoning when inverting the photos on Rihanna (just as one current example) indicates a preference for edit warring or vandalism to constructive advancement of Wikipedia. Please explain your perspective before you revert that change again. Thank you. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 05:52, 29 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Kobe Bryant Image, 1999-02 section edit

Why did you revert the image? The post afro, tattooed Kobe isn't an accurate portrayal of Kobe during this time period (the three-peat lakers). This   Image was taken during 1999-00 season, while this   was taken on October 2005. Got to go with the more relevant photo for the section of the article. -- ĴoeĴohnson|2 06:40, 7 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Changes made in Rihanna edit

You have undone certain changes that I made in the page Rihanna. You cannot undo them unless you have sources to prove that my changes are not correct. Please give reasons for deleting the info from the page. Syedwaheedhussain (talk) 18:32, 12 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Reviewer granted edit

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 05:45, 20 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edit on the Kobe Bryant article edit

You recently made this edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Kobe_Bryant&oldid=373473183 Care to explain why? It's arguably the single biggest achievement of his career, yet you remove it without any sort of an explanation.. It most certainly belongs in the article, not sure why you felt the need to do that. -- ĴoeĴohnson|2 17:45, 14 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Jim, if you keep edit warring and not discussing, you're going to get blocked. Enigmamsg 17:30, 15 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
Adding my voice to the chorus kindly requesting that you at least try discussing things with other editors. Some good might come of it. Mwelch (talk) 03:59, 16 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
Well, this is just getting absurd. You refuse to reply to comments or discuss things at all, choosing to revert, revert, and revert again. You've had multiple warnings, and you've been blocked twice previously for edit-warring. You are now blocked again, and you can consider yourself lucky that it's not indefinite. If you come back from the block with the same behaviour, you won't receive the same leniency. Enigmamsg 06:30, 16 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
