Barbara Gordon / "Sexiest Women in Comics" edit

Hey there. The "Sexiest Women" item/"Reception" section that you just edited (thank you) is one of several I've created today to try to correct over-prominence of this factoid which appeared in the Intro/Lead sections for 32 female superheroes. We 100% agree that this bit of trivia doesn't merit its own Reception section. I think in many cases it doesn't merit any inclusion at all in these articles, but discussion here convinced me that deleting these rankings from articles would catalyze reverts. Moving the information to a "Reception" section was my best effort to address even-more-undeserved emphasis in the prior iterations of the articles. If you have the knowledge and inclination to make similar improvements to some of my other edits, please do! A full list of the superhero pages I edited today is in my contributions page.--GDswamp (talk) 20:15, 19 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Janetrollingstonecover.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Janetrollingstonecover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:08, 23 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:Janet-Jackson-Dammn-Baby-2016.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Janet-Jackson-Dammn-Baby-2016.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 20:26, 22 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Possibility of providing your input on a Peer Review for Regine Velasquez's entry edit

Hi Bookkeeperoftheoccult,

I'm writing to ask whether you would consider having a look at the article. I'm aware that you've been involved with a few PRs before. I've given it a major rewrite and complete overhaul. I began working on the article late October when it looked like this and somehow ended up rewriting the whole thing and aiming for potentially FA. This isn't a process I've been through before, but I have been reading the reviews here in preparation, and am familiar with FAC demands. I would very much appreciate a fresh set of eyes and happily address any concerns you may have.

Thanks! Pseud 14 (talk) 13:35, 7 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Barbara Gorden/Batgirl edit

Hi. I am going through old GAs with clean up tags. These two articles (Barbara Gordon and Batgirl have the same tag on them. I do feel they fail the {{WP:GACR|focus criteria]], Gordan has 70KB readable prose as well so is very long for a fictional character. I just wanted to draw your attention to them, with the hope you may be able to fix them. The rest of the articles looks very nice. AIRcorn (talk) 04:52, 31 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

File:Madefornowcover.jpg edit

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:17, 17 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Guardian article cited 11 years ago edit

It's been a long time, but can you remember what source you were tapping when you added this 1993 Guardian review by Caroline Sullivan? I have been trying and failing to find it online. The Guardian lists Sullivan's works back to 1995,[4] not 1993. Is it possible you were looking at a reprint at janetjackson.com? I know that website has hosted reviews of Janet's works in the past. Or was it rocksbackpages.com? The latter has some Sullivan writings from 1993[5] but not about Janet. Binksternet (talk) 16:42, 9 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
