Why are you here?

  1. You are hacked off because I nominated one of your articles for deletion - This isn't the place to discuss it, I strongly suggest taking it up in the appropriate AfD discussion or on the articles talk page.
  2. You are replying to a message I left on your talk page - Don't reply here! Reply on your talk page, I'll be watching!
  3. You want to discuss an article - If it is an article I have previously contributed to, it is likely to be on my watchlist, consider starting a discussion there instead, it may generate more discussion from outside parties.
  4. You think I'm harassing you - Unlikely. I have over 20,000 pages on my watchlist, including every UK place, road, bus operator and bus route (and most rail articles). If you edit the same group of articles, we are bound to bump into each other!
  5. You actually wish to talk to me - Welcome! You are in the right place, start a new discussion at the bottom of the page!

London bus routes edit edit

Hello, I don't like your edits that you are doing at the moment. You are deleting all detailed information about London Bus routes and integrating into List of bus routes in London. I don't like this, because the advantage of all that I am doing with London Bus routes are to give more detail (the history, current vehicle) about that route. Please don't delete these articles.

Hi, all articles on Wikipedia must meet notability guidelines, which can be found at WP:N. They also cannot be copy and pasted from other sites, and every fact in them must cite a reliable source (fansites are not reliable sources)
Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a travel guide. Jeni (talk) 11:51, 14 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
I now added referances on London Buses route 267, as suggested by you 188.29.164.115 (talk) 12:36, 14 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
You still don't seem to understand. All articles must meet the Wikipedia notability guidelines, you have done nothing to establish how this route is notable? Also you have merely copied and pasted this article from here citing it as a source. This is not a reliable source. You'll be much better suited to putting these types of article on Bus routes in London, not Wikipedia. If you recreate this article again, I will seek administrator intervention. Jeni (talk) 17:14, 14 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
Jeni, if you are going to ANI about such a small thing like this, it is a bit too far, don't you think? The best, and most logical thing to do here is seek dispute resolution and following WP:BRD,or continue to discuss the issue here, or on the IP's talk. Regarding the source they have supplied, you are right. This isn't reliable because not only is it a fan site, it is self-published. It was made by someone who is on a forum I'm on (The Bus Forum). If they persist in recreating the page even after you've done the above, then considering taking this to ANI. Hope you had a great Valentine's Day ! Recent edits to London Bus route articles edit

Hi Jeni, Hope you have recovered from all the stress earlier. Thank you for your recent edits to remove unsourced content on some London Bus Routes. However on some of them, you appeared to have removed information that was in fact back up by a reliable source. I have restored the content, as you may know. Please be a bit more careful when you are cleaning up articles of unsourced content. You are doing a good job, however please make sure you don't remove material which is backed up by a reliable source by accident. Thanks! Class455fan1 (talk) 16:08, 21 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi, you appear to be re-introducing unsourced content in articles, please don't do this. As you know, all content on Wikipedia needs to be backed up by a reliable source. Thanks! Jeni (talk) 16:10, 21 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
For the garages and vehicles allocated to each route, we could leave them in for a while before removing them. I don't know of any websites which have the allocated vehicles on them, but I own a couple of books which may help. I will do this over the next week before I get blocked for three months to prepare for exams next Monday. I can't go through them right now, though. Class455fan1 (talk) 16:12, 21 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
I have given plenty of time before removing them! I'm only removing unsourced info when it has been tagged as such for a while, often the tags are dating back to when I added them originally in 2009! Once you've got a source, feel free to add it back in. Anything unsourced that hasn't been tagged as such for a while, I'm adding the tag in with a view of removing at a later date if still unsourced. Someone really needs to kick these bus articles into shape, and by being strict hopefully people will get the hint that this is an encyclopaedia. Jeni (talk) 16:15, 21 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
I can re-add them when I have more time with books as sources. This will presumably be next Saturday, as I have a lot of spare time on that day. I get blocked from editing next Monday, so I'll get them done before then. Also, it may be worth mentioning about "kicking these bus articles in to shape" on WT:LT and Wikiproject Buses , so that other project members (like me) can help with removing more content. . London Bus route pages edit

Hi Jeni! Trust you are well. Just to let you know, that I am in the process of adding citations to all bus routes about the vehicle allocations, garage allocated to and PVR of them using the books that I own, that I told you about last week. There was a mix up on route 7, when I accidentally typed the wrong title in, and my edits were reverted, but Ive sorted that out. In case i don't manage to finish them all before I get blocked on Monday, can you please leave these fields in on the info boxes of each route, add a [citation needed] if there isn't one and I will resume adding these sources when i return from my break on June 17. In case you were wondering what the books I added were, you can find them here from the publisher itself: http://www.visionsinternational.biz/html/bus_books.html . Scroll down the page and you will find them. Thanks and have a nice weekend! Class455fan1 (talk) 15:12, 27 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi Jeni If you want to talk to me then please reply to my post on the other page. I have written to you three times and you have only replied once. It seems that you must not like my answer to your question. So therefore please reply to this on my page. Points of interest A470, which you removed for an unknown reason other than Wikipedia is not a travel guide. so why then is this page acceptable and ours isn't. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Welshgirl55 (talkcontribs) 11:41, 29 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
