Your COI request edit

Hello, I'm currently viewing edit requests from editors who have a conflict of interest. I noticed that you have an outstanding edit request at Talk:Walmart/Archive 9. As this is appearing on the edit request list, I'm just wondering whether this has been resolved or not by another editor? If not, I'll be happy to have a look into it. Please let me know. st170etalk 14:18, 18 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello st170e. I created that edit request to introduce some non-primary sources for bits of information in the Walmart article. An editor who had assisted with several of my requests responded, saying that primary sources were preferred in certain situations. If you want to take a look at the request and see if you think the new sources would better serve the article than primary sources, that would be great. Otherwise, it might not be necessary, since the previous reviewing editor did not feel the need to make the changes. Please let me know what you think. Thanks, JLD at Walmart (talk) 17:16, 21 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
Hi, I've just had another look and I would advise to leave it as is. If there are any queries from other editors about the figures, then these could be added in to the article at a later date, but I don't feel like the changes are absolutely necessary. If you wish, I'll add them in, just let me know. I've edited your archive so that I could disable the template so it doesn't come up on outstanding edit requests. --st170etalk 20:32, 21 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
Hello again, st170e. Can you take a look at another edit request I posted on the Criticism of Walmart Talk page? I'm trying to add sources where they are needed, and asking for unsourced information to be removed. I'm happy to discuss further or answer any questions. Thanks, JLD at Walmart (talk) 20:43, 19 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
Hi there! I'm currently travelling around Central Europe at the moment so I'll have a look at your edit request when I get back home later this week or when I get into a cafe (with wifi)! Sorry about this! I'll try to do it as quickly as I can. st170etalk 07:04, 20 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
I've been going through that edit request and doing the things that are easy and uncontroversial, like adding sources. Some of them I'm not sure what to do with and I have left comments on the talk page. Another set of eyes would be welcome. Kendall-K1 (talk) 15:59, 21 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
Hi st170e, I appreciate you agreeing to take a look at this. The more eyes on it, the better. And Kendall-K1, thank you for the changes you have made. I do have one question on the {{citation needed}} tags: How long do we keep information that needs citations for verification in an article? Thanks, JLD at Walmart (talk) 13:51, 3 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
I don't think there is a hard rule. I usually give it at least a couple of weeks, and much longer on an article that has little traffic. Or shorter for something ridiculous and obviously made up. Kendall-K1 (talk) 15:44, 3 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
Hello Kendall-K1. Would you be willing to revisit these unsourced claims in the Criticism of Walmart article? It has been nearly a month since the {{cn}} maintenance tags were posted and there has been no response from other editors. Also, st170e has expressed interest in looking at this in the past. As was said here previously, an extra set of eyes would be welcome. Thanks, JLD at Walmart (talk) 19:33, 7 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
I took out the two you flagged. There are some others, some of them very old, that I would like to remove but they might require some work. In some cases they may be supported by later refs in the same paragraph. Kendall-K1 (talk) 20:31, 7 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your proposed changes to Walmart edit

I fully support your proposed changes to this article. Thank you for following the correct COI procedures. I'm not making the changes immediately since someone has already argued against the changes, but I don't consider those arguments to be compelling. I'll keep an eye on this and make the changes soon unless a valid consensus arises not to include your material. Meters (talk) 00:14, 20 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
