Welcome to Wikipedia, Ivanjek! I am Marek69 and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

File copyright problem with File:BSD breaching.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:BSD breaching.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Skier Dude (talk) 21:38, 10 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your contributions to the Ten-Day War article edit

In your contribution to the Ten-Day War article you have made a secton that previously was unverified, make even bolder claims. I can not take a position on the accuracy of your statements or the previous statements in the section, but if they are true they are important enough to deserve a trustworthy reference backing it up. Could you possibly provide such a reference? Otherwise I will feel obliged to remove your contribution on the basis of it possibly being original research. --Dront (talk) 03:08, 26 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I understand the difficulties, but as you say it is a sensitive matter, which is why I urge great caution when adding claims. Especially claims that are daring to say the least. Tomorrow morning I will remove the current extravagant claims, I think a week if far too long for such a thing to stand. Feel free to add them again and any new that you may find if you have not yet added references at this time. I am looking forward to improvements made to that article. --Dront (talk) 19:56, 26 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Hrvatski vojnici na Dan pobjede.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Hrvatski vojnici na Dan pobjede.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 05:06, 27 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Croatian and US soldiers.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Croatian and US soldiers.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 11:56, 13 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
