Chris Barrett (interior designer) moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Chris Barrett (interior designer), is not suitable as written to remain published.(?) There appears to be either a WP:UPE or WP:COI issue. The article is written in a very promotional style. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where it can remain while you address the UPE/COI concern. When you have made the necessary steps regarding COI/UPE, and the article meets WP:GNG and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Do not re-add to mainspace yourself. Onel5969 TT me 23:43, 10 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

You don’t have to accept this. See WP:DUD. You have the option of objecting (WP:DRAFTOBJECT), whereupon it will be moved back to mainspace, and likely WP:AfD-ed. WP:AfD is the forum to resolve the disagreement. SmokeyJoe (talk) 05:05, 4 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Chris Barrett (interior designer) edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Chris Barrett (interior designer), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Managing a conflict of interest edit

Hello, IntDesign. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Acroterion (talk) 03:39, 23 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

And please stop spamming other editors’ talk pages. The list only needs to go in one place, and you can contest deletions at WP:DRV. Acroterion (talk) 03:46, 23 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
I'm not spamming anyone. Please stop making false accusations and straw man arguments.
I specifically addressed the editors responsible for the deletion of the article on their talk pages as directed by Wikipedia's own rules:
"If you believe a page was wrongly deleted, or should have been deleted but wasn't, or a deletion discussion was improperly closed, you should discuss this with the person who performed the deletion, or closed the debate, on their talk page." IntDesign (talk) 02:55, 11 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
My article about interior designer Chris Barrett complied with Wikipedia rules and had more links/citations to legitimate news sources than most articles on interior designers. This is an undeniable fact. IntDesign (talk) 03:00, 11 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Notice of Conflict of interest noticeboard discussion edit

There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident with which you may be involved. Thank you. Robert McClenon (talk) 13:50, 14 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

I don't see the discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard, although I do see numerous unsubstantiated false claims made by third parties on this talk page. Are there any boards where I may report false claims and users who make them? IntDesign (talk) 01:17, 19 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Deletion Review edit

You may not edit closed discussions, so I have reverted your edit. If you wish to discuss it and not just cast aspersions, you can do so at the editors' talk pages. Star Mississippi 01:15, 19 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

I have not cast aspersions. I have simply replied to false claims (quoted verbatim) with facts. IntDesign (talk) 01:22, 19 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
The reason you don't see the discussion @Robert McClenon referred to is you're responding to a month-old post. You can find it at Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest/Noticeboard/Archive_189#Chris_Barrett. You're welcome to raise a discussion at Dispute Resolution or the Administrator's Noticeboard, but given a clear consensus against the article it is unlikely you will succeed. I'll note you continue to confuse quantity of news sources with evidence of notability. cc @Stifle Star Mississippi 01:29, 19 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the link.
Interesting how these month-old allegations simply repeated unproven failed allegations from January 2022. Nothing new.
The "clear consensus" has failed to discount any of my 20+ independent news sources for this subject and failed to deny that other pages about similar subjects -- interior designers -- have far less news sources than I used. IntDesign (talk) 01:37, 19 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
WP:OSE: as mentioned in the Deletion Reviews, you're welcome to nominate the other designers' articles if you believe they should be deleted. My suggestion is you address the COI issues which remain unanswered. UPE is block worthy and a reasonable suspicion since you have not answered the question as to what your connection with Barrett is. Star Mississippi 01:44, 19 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the ping, User:Star Mississippi. It appears that this editor took a break of five weeks from editing in order to game the system, both by appearing to have stopped editing, so that the COI inquiry was archived without action, and then so that they could claim not to be able to see the COI inquiry. They still haven't answered the question, and it isn't a "failed allegation" because in Wikipedia we can infer COI from a deliberate failure to answer the question about COI. Robert McClenon (talk) 02:20, 19 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
I am setting aside the assumption of good faith about the denial of COI. They should have answered the question in a timely manner, rather than only inserting a denial into a closed discussion. (If someone tells an untruth in a wilderness and no one hears it, was it a falsehood?) Robert McClenon (talk) 02:24, 19 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
The allegations are "month-old" because you have ignored them for a month. Let's not be disingenuous, because you're very close to getting indefinitely blocked for undisclosed paid editing. Stifle (talk) 18:45, 19 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

September 2023 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, club, organization, company, or website, I have blocked this account from editing. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here.

Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change of your current account here. The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username on this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page (this page): {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken or in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

Thank you. TheSandDoctor Talk 03:23, 17 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
