July 2009 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Mauser HSc, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please do not replace a properly formatted article with a complete replacement. Major rewrites should be discussed at Talk:Mauser HSc. Regards. -- Whpq (talk) 22:43, 23 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your message on my talk page edit

I can understand your frustration, but please heed the advice above - you should not make major revisions to an article without discussing those changes on the article's talk page first. You will need to provide references to reliable sources to support your edits, but please note that personal knowledge is not a reliable source for Wikipedia purposes because it is not verifiable. – ukexpat (talk) 14:31, 24 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Mauser HSc edit

I've reverted your additions. I've asked, and ukexpat has also pointed out, to discuss this at the article's talk page before making radical changes. Please do this again. I am quite willing to help you develop the article further, but you need to actually discuss the edits. -- Whpq (talk) 19:01, 26 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Let me strongly echo the above comments. We work by consensus here, not by dictat. It is not your article but other editors are perfectly happy to help the article develop. To enable that, you must enter into discussions with other editors. If you don't, you will continue to feel frustrated.  – ukexpat (talk) 21:25, 26 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Mauser HSc. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Whpq (talk) 21:34, 26 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
