Robin Rimbaud edit

I'm amazed at your ability to write about yourself neutrally.  ;-) Most people are horrible at it; get flustered, get their articles deleted, yell and pout, etc.

For future reference, our policies on the matter are at Wikipedia:Autobiography and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. But so far, so good. User:Omegatron 01:51, 19 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia! edit

Hey there, Headgit, and welcome to our great encyclopedia, which currently has more than 6,827,269 articles! Even with this large number, all of your contributions are important (including the small ones), and I hope you like the place and decide to stay! Here's a few starting tips for you:

After reading all this (or even just glimpsing at it), I can understand that you might feel apprehensive about editing and contributing articles, for fear of making a mistake. But don't worry too much about mistakes; after all, you're new. Instead, everyone here encourages you to be bold! If you need help with anything, feel free to leave me a message, or you can put {{helpme}} on your talk page, and someone will show up shortly to give you a hand.

One last thing: when leaving a message on someone's talk page, don't forget to put four "tildes" (~~~~) to automatically sign your name.

Reply: Hello, again, Headgit! You know, I've never really had an image take long to appear; has one of yours taken a while?
About citing an article, if you want to learn more about it, you can see here. Citing can be rather difficult to do; it took me some time to figure out (that album article Lethargy mentioned on my talk page was the first article I've ever cited, actually).

Second Reply: Huh, I'm stumped. I went and worked with those articles (Swim ~ and Pinkflag) where the image wasn't showing up, and I got them to appear correctly. All I did was go to the image's main page (the page where the image actually is on Wikipedia, like Image:Pink flag logo.gif) and copied the name down from the image's title. Then I went back to the article's page, posted the code, and it worked. I really don't know what the problem is. Maybe you could ask an administrator.
Happy Editing!

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Minimal Compact. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Proposed deletion of Pinkflag edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Pinkflag, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

no outside sources, WP:CORP

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Proposed deletion of Lobe (band) edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Lobe (band), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

lacks coverage in independent sources, no real claim to notability, albums not on an important label

Disambiguation link notification for September 14 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Colin Newman, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Eastwood. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:41, 14 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of Immersion (musicians) edit

The article Immersion (musicians) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Coverage appears to be exclusively passing mentions of new album releases. Doesn't look like there's any substantial coverage in independent, reliable sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Alpha3031 (tc) 12:28, 19 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
