My problem is simple. I typed ‘ Pamela Sue Anderson ’ (PSA) that wasn't the scantily clothed woman everyone knows, but an Oxford, UK, professor who died last year. When I got there I only found a few lines saying almost nothing on her. There was a Wikipedia comment too, to the effect that the page I was reading was clearly useless and might be merged or deleted. Visitors were also invited to contribute additional information that might render that page more useful.

I now have a document on PSA which is about 20 pages long, with all kinds of material (bibliography, auto-biography written by PSA herself etc.) I am too busy for adapting all that to the existing Wikipedia entry on PSA, but I am willing to dump all the information I have assembled somewhere so that a Wikipedia team can have a look at it and decide whether they should use my material to flesh out the present Wikipedia entry on Pamela Sue Anderson.

For about half an hour I've been looking around Wikipedia's help pages, but I couldn't find any suggestion about bringing the material I have to the attention of those who might edit the present entry.

If someone reads this and wished to enlighten me, I imagine that my login should be enough to have me contacted by such person. All the best! Hdjf3 (talk) 17:03, 30 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Help me! edit

At the link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pamela_Sue_Anderson we are invited to provide informative material to flesh out the contents of that skimpy page which otherwise risks being deleted or merged with other pages. I do have relevant URLs and also some texts, all of them showing in a pdf document of some 20 pages. I am so busy that all I can do is upload that pdf document in case Wikipedia volunteers find it useful. Please help me with letting me know whether I can upload it somewhere. Thank you

It doesn't sound like this PDF file you've put together qualifies as a published source so it cannot be used directly to help fill in the Anderson article. Other editors have also expressed interest in expanding the article, but not a whole lot has happened. At this point, I think you could best contribute by posting some of those relevant URLs to Talk:Pamela Sue Anderson so that other interested editors could follow up. You could also engage with other editors at WT:WikiProject Philosophy, which is probably watched by more people. You could also try either of the other WikiProjects whose banners appear on the talk page. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 17:06, 31 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Only today did I become aware that someone was so kind as to give me hints as to how contribute to improving the Wikipedia entry on PSA. When we register, we provide our personal email address, and I expected to be informed whenever someone was providing inputs. Now, I learned that, instead, I should check on my talk page. So, I should extract all relevant URLs from the material I collected and place them at Talk:Pamela Sue Anderson. I will do that, but it might take some days as at the moment I have other priorities. Thanks so much to jmcgnh for helping out!Hdjf3 (talk) 17:57, 25 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hdjf3 (talk) 02:10, 27 November 2018 (UTC)== I've done what you suggested ==Reply

Thanks again to the Wikipedia staff member (jmcgnh) who was kind enough to respond to my help request. I have placed the relevant URLs in a section of Pamela Sue Anderson's entry and I have advertised those URLs in the pages concerning Oxford University and the projects tied to philosophy. In my view, prof. Anderson might attract the attention of those interested in associating feminism and philosophy. I am writing this in case jmcgnh wishes to check if what I did is acceptable and to the point.Hdjf3 (talk) 02:10, 27 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
