I was impressed by this piece, written as it was in another language. I replaced your fire tax with ransom because the phrase is sometimes used to mean hearth tax, which would be misleading. However, ransom isn't so good either, as it mainly applies to individuals, not communities. Any thoughts?--AntientNestor (talk) 14:43, 20 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
I can't say I have any suggestions, I just put fire tax since it's the direct translation from the Swedish sources, I think it should be ransom since I think it fits the most but there might be other terms I don't know about. Gvssy (talk) 14:50, 20 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Historically this would be tribute, but the modern usage, by which this now means acclaim, has obliterated this older sense. I can't think of anything else either.--AntientNestor (talk) 15:24, 20 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Well, if neither of us can think of a different term we could also leave it up to other editors but i'll let you decide. Gvssy (talk) 15:33, 20 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Template:Swedish colonial conflict edit

Gvssy (talk) 10:03, 14 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
