Have you ever been by the Springifield High School (now South Springfield I believe) that supposedly looks like the U.S. Capitol building, Stivers School for the Arts (old building, NRHP listed), the Engineers Club of Dayton building or the Reibold Building? Thanks for the input! You're so rarely on here that I didn't expect to hear from you for some weeks yet :-) I wonder, however, about the significantly different sizes of the lists that would result. I've thought of a new possible division:

• Downtown as you defined it
• North as being north and east of a line: following I-74 from the city's western edge to I-75, then down I-75 to Martin Luther King Dr., along it to the I-71 interchange, and then following it to the city's eastern edge
• East as being everything between Downtown and North that's east of Vine Street
• West as being everything between Downtown and North that's west of Vine Street

This looks to me as if it would result in lists that are more equally balanced. Since Vine is the east-west meridian, I'd like to use it if possible, and I'd also find it rather odd to classify structures on the southern edge of Over-the-Rhine as being in northern Cincinnati. Charles Woodruff House

Very interesting point. I concluded that the house was destroyed because I couldn't find an Italianate house along that part of Springfield Pike, and when I saw its Ohio Historical Society profile, I knew that the house was gone, since that house definitely isn't along the street. However, in my opinion, the building you can see from Bing looks just like the OHS picture, and the Google Street View of the house you found at Bing is conclusive: there's no way that it could have been destroyed. I'll remove the image from both pages where it's used, and I'll request its deletion at Commons. Nyttend (talk) 18:20, 19 September 2010 (UTC)

By the way, you'll note that the end of the OHS profile says that it's not been demolished. This section of the profiles is never reliable — it says that the Van Wert Bandstand has been destroyed; meanwhile, it says that the Lockington Covered Bridge is still in existence, even though it burned in 1989. Thanks for getting the photo! I've been concentrating on expanding lots of articles on National Register sites in Hamilton County, and some of the articles with your pictures (such as Alms and Doepke Dry Goods Company and Lombardy Apartment Building) will soon be at DYK. My biggest amount of work has been on buildings in the Samuel Hannaford and Sons TR, which has a lot of currently unillustrated buildings. My point about the Winton Place photo was that it appeared on the Main Page, unlike photos such as the Cox House that are simply in articles that are on the Main Page. Hi, the deletion is an issue of Wikipedia:Notability. It seems to me that this topic at best belongs on a page about North Dakota roadside attractions, not on its own page. The first issue, is that you have not said why this is notable. Roadside attractions are not a class typically given Wikipedia pages by default like towns. Here is a list of notable roadside attractions, all are notable for holding the "world's largest title". The second issue is that the notable references you added (LA Times) actually diminish the claim of notability because they discuss this statue as one among many. Please review the significant coverage requirement for notability. I would support your effort if you wanted to try and make a page about this quark of North Dekota. Another, possibly more appropriate, option would be to add a line or two about these attractions on the states page, under tourism . I hope this helps, Dkriegls (talk) 04:23, 23 January 2012 (UTC)

I just wanted to let you know that I am not going to propose full deletion process. Notability was not considered with speedy deletion, only the notability of your citations. However, I think this item would be more interesting as an article about North Dakota Roadside attractions. The LA times article alone would be enough to support such an article. This photograph (Image:MacroCRT.JPG) that you recently uploaded and applied as an illustration to the article Cathode ray tube has generated a minor edit war and a fair bit of discussion. Basically, it has been asserted that the photograph is not of the colour patterns on a cathode ray tube but of a liquid crystal display and one of the contributors has outlined several reasons he believes this to be the case. Your editing history suggest that you are not technically minded, and as such there is no suggestion that the image was uploaded in anything other than good faith. As you took the photograph, perhaps you could visit the discussion and clear up the matter once and for all. If the photo really is of a CRT, then to close the matter, it might be helpful to all concerned if you could advise of the make and model of the monitor photographed.
