WikiCup 2024 April newsletter edit

We are approaching the end of the 2024 WikiCup's second round, with a little over two weeks remaining. Currently, contestants must score at least 105 points to progress to the third round.

Our current top scorers are as follows:

Competitors may submit work for the second round until the end of 28 April, and the third round starts 1 May. Remember that only competitors with the top 32 scores will make it through to the third round. If you are concerned that your nomination will not receive the necessary reviews, and you hope to get it promoted before the end of the round, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. Please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAN, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs. As a reminder, competitors are strictly prohibited from gaming Wikipedia policies or processes to receive more points.

If you would like to learn more about rules and scoring for the 2024 WikiCup, please read Wikipedia:WikiCup/Scoring. Further questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges (Cwmhiraeth (talk · contribs), Epicgenius (talk · contribs), and Frostly (talk · contribs)) are reachable on their talk pages. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove your name from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Help from a talk page stalker? edit

I'm not sure if anyone still has my talk page on their watchlist and could help with this, but any idea why the bot that used to archive old threads seems to have stopped doing so in 2021? Assuredly I've failed to keep track of something; I would welcome any assistance in getting archiving turned back on so this page is a bit less cluttered. Hoping to be back around a little bit more come summer! Go Phightins! 03:44, 17 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Can't help with the technical part, but glad to hear you'll be back around a little bit more this summer. I've had to slow down on working on the Phillies game logs, but I've worked backwards to somewhere in the mid 1930s on the Phillies season pages. Happy edititing. That's terrific! Go Phightins! 01:20, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
After the last bot archival, you made this edit. User:Lowercase sigmabot III/Archive HowTo only lists h or d as valid units (without units, the number is treated as seconds). So changing it to something like |algo=old(21d) might work. isaacl (talk) 01:18, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Wow, would never have caught that. Thanks very much. Go Phightins! 01:20, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Just went to look at the last time when archiving worked and your change was the next one. We'll see if it works. isaacl (talk) 01:23, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
