Your message on my talk page edit

Thanks for the message. At the moment your draft article at User:Francoisg/le Corbeau is not ready to be moved to the mainspace. You need to cite reliable sources that demonstrate the notability of the subject, otherwise the article would be speedily deleted. Hope this helps. – ukexpat (talk) 17:01, 5 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

That won't be enough - notability requires significant coverage in multiple sources (usually the media or scholarly works) independent of the subject. Links to institutions where his work has been exhibited or is in the permanent collection are not sufficient to demonstrate notability. – ukexpat (talk) 17:12, 5 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
The feedback has probably been archived by now, but as I left it, it would be exactly the same as the comments above. To cite sources please see WP:CITE, in particular for newspapers there is a template, see {{Cite news}}. – ukexpat (talk) 17:30, 5 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the new message. I have fixed some of the formatting and layout for you. It is always better to cite references where they support statements in the text of the article rather than just list them at the end. The draft does also still reads a little like a resume or something that you would find on the artist's website and I do still have concerns about notability. I will however move it to the mainspace so that others can take a look at it. I will have to move it to Le Corbeau (artist) as Le Corbeau already exists as an article about the Clouzot movie. – ukexpat (talk) 15:28, 11 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
  Done – ukexpat (talk) 15:31, 11 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Re disambiguation, the title is fine. I added a hatnote to Le Corbeau to point to the article about the artist. – ukexpat (talk) 16:18, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have added the {{lowercase title}} template to the article - this goes some way to fixing the lower case display issue. I also added the {{nofootnotes}} maintenance tag. Although the article has references, they should be cited against the text, please take a look at WP:CITE for assistance. I also note that you appear from your user name to be the subject of the article. Please take a look at WP:AUTO for guidance on writing autobiographies. You should refrain from editing the article directly, except to correct clear factual errors and use the article's talk page to discuss any other changes. Hope this helps. – ukexpat (talk) 14:37, 25 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
