June 2013 edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Delta Air Lines fleet. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.  Abhishek  Talk 17:35, 23 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

July 2013 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not remove citations or information sourced through citations simply because a link to a source is not working, as you did to China Eastern Airlines. Dead links should not be deleted. Instead, please repair or replace the link, if possible, and ensure properly sourced information is retained. Often, a live substitute link can be found. Links not used as references, notes or citations are not as important, such as those listed in the "External links" or "Further reading" sections, but bad links in those sections should also be fixed if possible. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. JetBlast (talk) 21:04, 25 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please make sure to include an edit summary with every edit. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! JetBlast (talk) 23:28, 27 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

In all my edits I have made so far, I have always included an edit summary. So where is the problem? FonEengIneeR7 (talk) 00:05, 28 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did to Ethiopian Airlines, without verifying it by citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Jetstreamer Talk 16:52, 31 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for August 10 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Antonov An-12, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Leipzig Airport (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Saudia edit

At least one entry (HZ-AAE) was incorrectly removed from the list of accidents and incidents in this edit. WP:AIRCRASH says that hull-losses warrant inclusion. Please re-read the guidelines you cite. Furthermore, the inclusion of hijackings is currently under discussion at WT:AIRLINES, and you can drop your thoughts there rather than unilaterally removing those entries. Yes, I am 217.129.59.220. You should have warned me about the possibility of vandalism. But it was not. I counted all the destinations of Turkish Airlines, several times, and the number is actually 240, if we count Mitiga and Maastricht. But I accepted your compromise. Concerning to the TAP Portugal article, I have no clue about how could it be considered vandalism, since what I had written is factual, but most of the information I added is already in the TAP Portugal destinations anyway. Also, I'm quite new here and I had not received any complaints, neither I knew how to reply. Greetings, from Nmgscp74 (talk) 20:06, 8 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

correction of TAP Portugal destinations map edit

I replaced the TAP Portugal destinations map with a new one, which includes Venezuela (since it's a current destination of TAP), and excludes South Africa and Argentina, as these are no longer destinations of TAP. I hope that this time, the fact that I uploaded this map (which is correct) is not considered vandalism by you. Anyway, if you wish to revert to the outdated map, be free to do so, and I'll respect that. Greetings, Nmgscp74 (talk) 3:36, 9 September 2013 (UTC)

WP:MOSNUM edit

Per this edit you should be aware that comparable items in a sentence should use the same style, i.e. you can say "eleven crew and seven passengers" or "11 crew and 7 passengers" but not "eleven crew and 7 passengers" or "11 crew and seven passengers". Please undo all the edits you've made like this. Thanks. The Rambling Man (talk) 18:55, 19 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Turkish Airlines edit

I'd like to draw your attention to this edit. Are you aware that the removal of most of the references in the section is a violation to WP:VERIFY? The existence of separate articles is not a justification for wiping out the supporting references. This will be an issue if the article is GA-nominated in the future.--Jetstreamer Talk 23:10, 16 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know that. I'll readd all the references once I'm free. FonEengIneeR7 (talk) 07:24, 17 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your GA nomination of World's largest airlines edit

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article World's largest airlines you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria.   This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of ColonelHenry -- ColonelHenry (talk) 18:01, 17 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • I regret that I have to fail this article because it isn't GA eligible. the article is a "stand-alone list" and it would appropriate as a featured list nominee. If you take the time to improve it per the FL criteria and choose to nominate it in the future, I'll be glad to post some comments on the nomination it there.--ColonelHenry (talk) 18:21, 17 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Turkish Airlines edit

Hi there. Why this? I liked the table format.--Jetstreamer Talk 23:21, 20 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

So did I, but it is very simple. The article per se is not that long. Thus, having three tables in a short article like that would distract a reader in my opinion. If the article was a bit longer, e.g. like this one, I would agree on re-implementing it. But for the time being I do not see a point in putting everything in a table. Beyond that, with 15 entries, the table is incredibly long. FonEengIneeR7 talk 10:57, 21 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
In that case I'll start expanding the "History" section of the article in the next days. Actually, I've been watchlisting the page for a while with that intention in my mind. Merry Xmas.--Jetstreamer Talk 13:42, 21 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
I'd be delighted if you did that. I had actually started to modify and expand two subsection of it but didn't manage to come far. Especially the 1980s and 2000s sections need urgent revamp as they have simply been copied and inserted. Merry Christmas. FonEengIneeR7 talk 15:31, 21 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Blocked edit

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.

I've blocked both of you for 24 hours for edit warring on the Iran Air article. On the expiry of the block I suggest you both discuss any issues on the talk page and agree on what information to include. You may find it beneficial to ask for fresh eyes at WT:AV. Further edit warring will lead to much longer blocks. Mjroots (talk) 07:13, 12 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

C'mon Mjroots, edit warring? I have just reverted two edits; that is completely in accordance with the three-revert-rule. FonEengIneeR7 talk 10:53, 12 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
I've discussed this with another admin, and have reduced your block to time served. I trust that you and Dreamliner 2012 will now discuss the issues. You've both been around long enough to know that 3RR is not a right and editors can be blocked even if they have not crossed 3RR. As I said above, you can always ask for fresh input at WT:AV if you find yourself in such a situation. Mjroots (talk) 20:46, 12 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

You Can Dish It Out But You Can't Take It edit

It seems that you sit at your computer all day long and don't think twice about destroying other peoples hard work maintaining certain Wikipedia pages but when someone edits a page that you care about, you revert it quickly while making a condescending remark about the previous editor.

I don't know if you are a senior cittizen, a shut-in, or have a medical condition that keeps you in front of the computer all day, but your efforts to be the sole authority on Wikipedia aviation pages are not appreciated.

The idea behind Wikipedia is collaboration. You are the opposite. You are devisive and think that you have a god given directive to edit all aviation pages exactly as you want them to the exclusion of all others.

Here is a suggestion to reduce the state of continuous conflict that you seem to find here on Wikipedia:

1) Pick a few pages that you care about and concentrate on them instead of trying to edit every aviation page on all of Wikipedia
2) Get to know the other people who are helping to maintain those pages and work with them in a collective effort to improve the page
3) Understand that you will not always get your way. Collaboration means allowing others to particpate in ways that are important to them while you participate in ways that are important to you. Learn to "Let It All Go" every once in awhile
4) Learn to ask questions instead of telling other what to do all the time. You'll be surprised what you will learn...

Good luck to you. I hope you can learn to play well with others... 97.120.222.107 (talk) 03:29, 17 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Give me a single example that would prove that I make "condescending" remarks about other editors, or would revert edits arbitrarily. Edits that contain vandalism or other things that are not desired here are there to be reverted as soon as possible. Every disputable claim needs a reliable source, see: WP:Verifiability. Furthermore, there are guidelines that every editor has to stick to. If an article contains anything where there is consensus that it should not be there, it is to be removed. As far as aviation articles are concerned, there are guidelines called WP:Airlines, WP:Aircrash, WP:Airports, etc. Please read these before guidelines and follow them rigorously.
You have nothing to tell me as to what to do here on WIkipedia. I can edit every single page I want. Have a nice day, sir. FonEengIneeR7 talk 09:27, 17 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
All the best to you Mr. Know-It-All who is all things to all people and has never considered that he is ever wrong or out of line.
