No image of Tacitus survives

Hello, Per WP:V please provide a basis and source for your statement that "No image of Tacitus survives". Please also read WP:Truth. These statements can not be issued as edicts and per WP:V need to be substantiated by WP:RS sources. Please do not revert, sans discussion here about your sources for the stated claim. Thank you. • A source of my statement is the caption of the image on this page Tacitus. The notion that this image is of Tacitus seems to have originated here which seems to be a reliable source. Thank you for discussing it rather than reverting. But the way Wikipedia works, unless you have a source that says Mr X faked this image you have no basis (per WP:V) for sating that "No image of Tacitus survives" for that would be your own reasoning, which falls under WP:OR. And a reading of WP:Truth would be essential here. So we can all wonder, but in the absence of WP:RS sources the statement "No image of Tacitus survives" fails WP:V and can not be used in Wikipedia. I do not create Wiki-policy, I just follow it. History2007 (talk) 03:02, 1 February 2012 (UTC)

Re: User pages

Sorry, I just realized what happened, and was going to tell you. That page ended up in the main space, like an article would. Redundant categories

I removed the Ancient women category from the Thusnelda article because it is already in the Women in first century warfare category, which is a sub category of the Women in ancient warfare category, which is under the parent category of Ancient women. Schneider Electric

Someone is blanking my change to Schneider Electric citing Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing as the reason. Not sure if they are correct in doing this. Can I put back my addition?

Your previous edits did indeed look to be close paraphrasing of Schneider Electric's website. However, the version you've currently added is, in my opinion, sufficiently different to be permissible. Please be very wary of taking text from sources and trying to amend it in order to circumvent copyright; it is far simpler (and more legal!) to try and reproduce the information behind the content in your own words.
