Reason to change the big bang theory season 5 color

the reason to change the color of the fifth season is that this is the original color of the DVD, and in the other seasons so are the colors, as the DVD

I see that now, but it is still very similar to the season 4 color, so it should be more distinctive. Favre1fan93 (talk) 21:58, 23 July 2012 (UTC)

ok, then I think we should put it a different color than the fourth but more like the DVD of the fifth, what you think? we can even leave it in that color if you like

I will create a section on the talk page so others can weigh in. Favre1fan93 (talk) 02:19, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

List of The Big Bang Theory episodes (season 6)

I've removed the production code from the first episode again. As I indicated last time,[1] there is nothing in the tweet or image that links the production code to this episode title. In fact the episode title has been deliberately concealed. Sources must directly support claims that are made and the sources do not do this. Assigning the production code to this episode therefore constitutes WP:SYNTH, which is not permitted. I've also removed the episode summary, as that is a copyvio. --AussieLegend (talk) 23:24, 23 August 2012 (UTC)

If you look at the twitter photo, you can see, that while the title is concealed, you can make out #601 below the dice and gum, as well episode 112 in the lower left corner. This associates it with the first episode of the season, as last season's finale was overall episode #111, and 601 implies season 6 episode 1. In addition, when I started editing season 5 around mid-January last year, I would look to Prady's twitter photos to see the production codes for the episodes, with titles concealed, such as this from the finale last year, while the other episode info was gain from other places such as Futon Critic. If that is not enough common association, the director and writers are the same from the Futon source similar to how they were for last season. I am also wondering how the episode summary is a copyvio, when it was taken from the Futon Critic page. Again, the same tactic was used for last season's episodes when they would appear on Futon before they aired, so were those done wrongly as well? Thanks. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 01:32, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
This still constitutes WP:SYNTH. You need a source that directly links the episode title. Summaries taken from press releases constitute copyright violations.[2][3] You need to write episode summaries in your own words. --AussieLegend (talk) 03:08, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
Here is an example of an edit I did on last season's page where I used the Futon Critic source, as well as the photo of the table draft, with title covered, from Bill Prady to add info for the episode. In episode 23 (at the time of this edit), the RTitle, from Futon Critic, cites everything except for the production code, which is done by the twitter photo. For episode 24, the next twitter photo of the table draft, again with title covered, cites production code, director and writers. Based on what you are saying, this was done incorrectly as well? - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:10, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
Yes, that would seem to be the case. --AussieLegend (talk) 03:35, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
And you say in the short summary section for episode one now, future episodes "require a citation unless the episode summary is directly supported by the citation in the "RTitle" field". If Futon Critic is the source in RTitle, then isn't the summary they give, while a press release, covered by that citation because you are citing in? That seems like you are contradicting what you told me before. I know after episodes air, the summaries must be in their own words, but for the small synopsis before hand, those have to be own words as well? I would just like to know the thinking so my future edits will be correct. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:18, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
The source can support the summary, but that doesn't mean that you can directly copy the episode summary from the source. You need to change the summary substantially, which effectively means writing it in your own words, regardless of whether that's done before or after the episode airs. --AussieLegend (talk) 03:38, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
Okay. As I was thinking more about the production code, where is it suggested that for TV episodes, WP:SYNTH has to match the title of the episode? If I wanted to get accurate info, I would look to the episode number for the season (601 here) or the overall number (112). To me, that is a more definitive connection between the sources than the title because the title may have changed or have been altered by the studio for some reason (such as Season 1 episode 15, The Shiksa Indeterminacy/The Pork Chop Indeterminacy). And a second question to you would be where can we get the production code for the episode, if not through Prady's pictures? I have not seen them listed on any other reliable source when they talk about the episodes. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 13:25, 24 August 2012 (UTC)

Chicken dance

I thought mentioning the particular song was the best info of all that part. I guess there are lots of people who wonder what song that was. I'm sorry you feel different about that. Ziyalistix (talk) 12:54, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

Whether people feel the need to know the song is irrelevant. When writing summaries, we are just giving a general overview of the episode, not every specific detail. For the episode, it doesn't matter if it was the chicken dance, the electric slide or the foxtrot. What's important to the plot is Amy wanted to Leonard to dance with her and as a result he strained his groin. In addition, we have already talked on the talk page about the length of the episodes summaries, per {{Episode list}} and this unnecessary detail puts this episode over that limit. -Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:32, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
It was all about the chicken song (a scare to dance - or not - with Amy) and therefore a mentionable pun. I hate how it is killed here just because it's 3 more words than allowed. This just killes everything here. Please, let Sheldon be autistic and we here at wp not Ziyalistix (talk) 20:26, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

A Nightmare on Facetime

Hi. Thanks for creating the A Nightmare on Facetime article. However, if you're going to include plot material, please do not cut and paste copyright-protected material verbatim from the source. Doing so is copyright infringement, and can result legal trouble for Wikipedia. Always make sure to paraphrase the material you find. Thanks again. :-) Nightscream (talk) 05:02, 25 October 2012 (UTC)

Thanks! Yeah I know about the whole copy/paste from press releases and the copyright infringement. I just created the page quickly and was going to go back to fix it but forgot. I always try to paraphrase, but forgot this time. I'll try to be more diligent in the future. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 05:13, 25 October 2012 (UTC)

Remove remaining personal attack on POI

Favre, what would you think if I were to delete the remainder of the NPA thread regarding the spelling of Judgment on the POI talk page? SpacePirates seems to have flown away, and the part that remains, to which you and I responded when we thought he could be reasoned with, includes a lot more personal attack language. I'd like it all to go, but don't feel I can remove without getting an OK from you since our replies would go, too. Any objection to my removing your response along with the original post and my response? --Drmargi (talk) 09:34, 2 December 2012 (UTC)

Please by all means go right ahead! I see no purpose that the current state of the thread will provide. However, i don't know if it is worthwhile to create a new thread, possibly titled "Judgment vs. Judgement", just explaining that they are variant spellings and that reliable sources for the episode (CBS, TVGuide, the DVD guide, etc.) all list it as Judgment. SpacePirates was the only editor that had an issue with the spelling so a new thread might not be needed. But for the current thread, go right ahead and do what you want with it. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:31, 2 December 2012 (UTC)
Dandy! I'll get rid of the mess. I don't think a new thread is needed until the issue comes up again (see WP:BEANS, if only for a laugh). I doubt it will; this was a person with spelling issues who was determined to be right. Most reasonable editors know the standard spelling and that CBS is the most reliable source for the correct title and title spelling. --Drmargi (talk) 20:50, 2 December 2012 (UTC)
Sounds good! - Favre1fan93 (talk) 21:34, 2 December 2012 (UTC)

Notice of Dispute resolution discussion

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard regarding a content dispute in which you may have been involved. Content disputes can hold up article development, therefore we are requesting your participation to help find a resolution. The thread is "List of Power Rangers Megaforce Episodes".

Guide for participants

If you wish to open a DR/N filing, click the "Request dispute resolution" button below this guide or go to Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard/request for an easy to follow, step by step request form.

What this noticeboard is:
  • It is an early step to resolve content disputes after talk page discussions have stalled. If it's something we can't help you with, or is too complex to resolve here, our volunteers will point you in the right direction.
What this noticeboard is not:
  • It is not a place to deal with the behavior of other editors. We deal with disputes about article content, not disputes about user conduct.
  • It is not a place to discuss disputes that are already under discussion at other dispute resolution forums.
  • It is not a substitute for the talk pages: the dispute must have been discussed extensively on a talk page (not just through edit summaries) before resorting to DRN.
  • It is not a court with judges or arbitrators that issue binding decisions: we focus on resolving disputes through consensus, compromise, and explanation of policy.
Things to remember:
  • Discussions should be civil, calm, concise, neutral, and objective. Comment only about the article's content, not the other editors. Participants who go off-topic or become uncivil may be asked to leave the discussion.
  • Let the other editors know about the discussion by posting {{subst:drn-notice}} on their user talk page.
  • Sign and date your posts with four tildes "~~~~".
  • If you ever need any help, ask one of our volunteers, who will help you as best as they can. You may also wish to read through the FAQ page located here and on the DR/N talkpage.

Please take a moment to review the simple guide and join the discussion. Thank you! EarwigBot operator / talk 17:51, 24 February 2013 (UTC)

Summaries

Question: Do the summaries have to be copied from Zap2it word for word? Would that be a copyvio? Senor Taichi (talk) 21:59, 26 February 2013 (UTC)

Summaries, which are fine to use before the air date, must be sourced from the title reference (or a separate, official reference if they are not the same), and cannot be word for word. That would be WP:COPYVIO. That is why the summary I added, and I think it might have been slightly tweaked, worked. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 22:41, 26 February 2013 (UTC)
The summaries should not be copied from anywhere. Websites like Zap2it can be considered sources to write about them but the content should be original to Wikipedia.—Ryulong (琉竜) 02:02, 27 February 2013 (UTC)

Oh, you still aren't allowed to copy-paste directly either.—Ryulong (琉竜) 05:03, 28 February 2013 (UTC)

List of The New 52 publications

Sorry about removing other information in my edits that I did not intend. I only intended to restore the material sourced to Bleeding Cool. Nightscream (talk) 22:44, 3 March 2013 (UTC)

I understand the point you were trying to make, that Bleeding Cool would be an expectable source. However, Takuy had a point in his edit. The untitled Superman book has not been officially revealed and sites that are saying Man of Steel is the title, is rumor (I feel it eventually will be called that, but it is all still rumors now and WP:OR and WP:SYNTH). Same with the Fifth Wave. That labeling for the newly announced books, have not officially come through DC or an "exclusive" site announcing that label. And the Phantom Stranger change would still be too early, regardless of source, as the new title is not taking effect until June. -Favre1fan93 (talk) 00:36, 4 March 2013 (UTC)

Bob Newhart

Thanks for fixing my mistake. I couldn't figure out how to add him in the right place and also have it so he doesn't show until closer to the episode. BBB76 (talk) 17:14, 22 March 2013 (UTC)

No problem. As there was still an episode between the Newhart one and one that has full info, it is best to keep it hidden until at least the episode title is revealed. It was just a matter of putting it in the correct <!-- field. Thanks for adding the info though! - Favre1fan93 (talk) 19:09, 22 March 2013 (UTC)

TriiipleThreat (talk) 14:15, 1 April 2013 (UTC) TriiipleThreat (talk) 14:15, 1 April 2013 (UTC)

Hey, I've been working on something to clean-up the main article. It's not done and I know the notes can be a bit more discribtive but let me know what you think.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 18:01, 20 April 2013 (UTC)
Definitely like the direction you are going. I think in the headings you should add "Introduced in the yyyy". Right now reading it, it seems like the armors under, say, "1980s" were the only armors that were used then. Also, would there be a way to incorporate the images currently on the page into the table, or maybe its own section? That was one of the things I was thinking about for the film armor section, of what to do with the images. And if you'd like any help editing in your sandbox or anywhere else with this, let me know. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 18:26, 20 April 2013 (UTC)
Also, sources for the comic issues. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 18:38, 20 April 2013 (UTC)
I agree about the headers. Also as you can see the table does not span the total length of the page, I plan on adding images to the right of table in that empty space. If you find any third party sources that would be great, citing the comic would be redundant since it says where it was introduced. I won't be able to do much this weekend so any help would be appreciated.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 18:42, 20 April 2013 (UTC)
I'll try my best with the comic armors, but I did find these images from Marvel with some great pics of the film armors. They have two options, one that's a close up or the full armor for the Marks I-VII. Which do you think would be better, because I think it would be great to include them. I can work as well as getting the table sured up and working on the notes in your sandbox. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 18:51, 20 April 2013 (UTC)
I don't think we need an image for each indivual armor, one with most or all of them would be great. Otherwise, you might run into WP:NFC issues.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 19:00, 20 April 2013 (UTC)
Okay. Then I already have that on the page with the display from Comic-Con that had the hall of armor (where the individual armors pics above were taken from). - Favre1fan93 (talk) 19:04, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

I see you are starting the overhaul which is great. I kept from the film page and put in my sandbox, the section about the Arc Reactor. I know that the prose is all in universe, but I feel that its inclusion would be beneficial, if any third party source ever talked about it. Thoughts? Also, for the comic armors, I've been trying to find if we have all of the armors correct or are missing any, and it is very hard to find a reliable list that is on, say, Comic Vine or the Marvel Wikia page. Again, any suggestions with this? - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:25, 26 April 2013 (UTC)

If you can find third party reliable sources for an arc reactor section, then I think it will be okay to include. And feel free to add any missing armors. You might be able to fine info on later armors at say Comic Book Resources or IGN. Also if you want the "alternate realities" and "television sections" still need some help.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 16:32, 26 April 2013 (UTC)

Iron Man in film

Can you please review the edits made by TreCoolGuy (talk · contribs) at Iron Man in film? I am currently at limit and it seems discussion has failed.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 15:33, 24 May 2013 (UTC)

Wow. I see. Lovely note on your talk page by the way. Haha. What are your reasons for removing the info regarding the distributors and the note that is on many of the MCU pages? I can see about the categories, I just want to have reasoning for that content. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 15:40, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
It was entirely unsourced (Marvel Studios is not a distribution company). I could overlook the copy-paste job if he at least copied the references.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 15:51, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
Fandraltastic has made the revert. I will watch the page it see if they make any more edits without discussion, and can be a third party if needed. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:10, 24 May 2013 (UTC)

Can you stop ripping on me. Can you stop saying that the Iron Man in film, Captain America in film and now Batman: Arkham Asylum (series) pages look poorly made. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TreCoolGuy (talkcontribs) 20:07, 29 May 2013 (UTC)

For one, they are poorly made, as you have just blatantly copy and pasted material from other pages to create these pages. We have encouraged you to use talk pages to express your desire for these pages to be created. That way other editors have a chance to weigh in and help create the articles if they are notable enough. As for the Batman one, I don't even want to get started with that page. For starters, the title for the page is very poor, and again, the page contents are very poorly copy and pasted. Please look in to using your sandbox as a way to test out your ideas, and then share with others to consider as additions to the mainspace.- Favre1fan93 (talk) 21:54, 29 May 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Batman: Arkham Asylum (series)

Hello Favre1fan93. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Batman: Arkham Asylum (series), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: It's not a test page. Can't sensibly see it fitting in to another category either. Possibly content forking, but it seems distinct enough to fail that. It needs to go to AfD. Thank you. GedUK  12:22, 30 May 2013 (UTC)

sandbox of Batman: Arkham

I like the idea of the sandbox so far. The article could use some improvement. Jhenderson 777 18:56, 30 May 2013 (UTC)

Also the image you plan on using is definitely better than the image already on the article. Jhenderson 777 19:05, 30 May 2013 (UTC)

Just so you're aware, when I put links on the talk page for Origins I'm not implying that you do them, just storing them so I don't forget tehm. But thanks for integrating the info. Just didn't want you think I'm saying "I can't be bothered, you do it".Darkwarriorblake (talk) 16:52, 11 June 2013 (UTC)

Yes I know. Just feel like I can integrate them now. But I know what you are doing, and why, because there may be info that would be better left until later down the road. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 18:25, 11 June 2013 (UTC)

Lego Marvel Super Heroes

The Marks 6, 7, and 42 are clearly characters in the game, so therefore may be included in the characters slot. You don't have to undo every single edit someone makes. You just got rid of the Mark 6 off of the page, do you know what you are doing? Whatever, you aren't worth my time, and clearly don't know what you are doing on Wikipedia.Brian82027 (talk) 23:50, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

I erroneously removed the Mark VI citation. I have since fixed that. However, the other two were not sourced properly, because you were only assuming those were the armors based on screenshots. That can't be done. As noted, it was WP:OR and WP:SYNTH. You need a reliable source that explicitly states that Iron Man's Mark VII and XLII are included in the game. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 00:01, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

Other Wikias have confirmed this, but you haven't, as you are in your own little world. I'm going to laugh so much when I'm right. Brian82027 (talk) 00:38, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

Wikias are not reliable sources. I'm not denying that you're wrong. I'm seeing what you're seeing. But you can't just add stuff like you did without it accurately being sourced. I would suggest you take some time to look up some of Wikipedia's policies, as you would have known this, instead of claiming "You're right, I'm wrong and that's that". - Favre1fan93 (talk) 00:52, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

Fixed the issue with italicization.

It was bothering me, so I did some digging. It was an issue in Template:Infobox comic book title - a switch statement checked for "2ndbox", rather than "2ndary_box", as the template documentation asked for (I wonder how long that's been an issue). It should all be fixed now. So, if you have a second infobox of that variety, just add the 2ndary_box = y, parameter to it. I think that's all...? Might be an issue in more infoboxes too. || Tako (bother me) || 06:15, 22 June 2013 (UTC)

Thank you! It was bothering me as well. I was trying to edit Firestorm last night, right when you were. But that is strange that however the template is set up, it makes it so hard to change the title from italics to non italics! So far, Firestorm and Phantom Stranger were the only pages I've come across that are like that, but thanks again for the tip, in case I see any others. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 13:36, 22 June 2013 (UTC)

First edit

That POI episode title you reverted was the editor's first edit. Although you did write a friendly edit summary, it would have been nice, particularly given he asked for help, if you'd dropped a little note on his talk page. I've welcomed him now and explained why you reverted, but we lose too many eager new editors by not helping them understand reverts to their first edits. --Drmargi (talk) 01:08, 14 July 2013 (UTC)

Universal

Sorry for annoying you but Universal still has the film rights to the Hulk and American Idiot. Your right they haven't confirmed that they are going to make the films but Universal has the rights to make the films and I want to show that they still own them and give people hope that there might actually be films being released in the future. I take it you don't really like me that much but Universal - still has the rights to Hulk/American idiot just didnt release an release date. Marvel - Fox is in development for both X-Force and Deadpool just didnt release a release date, well for Deadpool you have the right to delete because that film has been in development hell for years. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TreCoolGuy (talkcontribs) 00:55, 14 July 2013 (UTC)

It's not that I don't like you, it's just that your edits seem to be in good faith, but they add either unsourced info, info from unreliable sources, or remove content for no reason it seems. It would do you some good to look into some policy on Wikipedia to help your editing and make your contributions constructive! And FYI, I don't believe Universal has the Hulk rights anymore. Those are back at Marvel. Hulk and American Idiot are best left for those pages until more info is available. I have readded Deadpool and X-Force to that table on the Marvel Studios page, but you can't add Deadpool to [[X-Men (film series). - Favre1fan93 (talk) 00:59, 14 July 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for the readding Deadpool and X-Force. What about the Namor film? Does Universal still have those rights? Marvel bought the rights back for Hulk before Incredible Hulk came out so you are absolutely right with Marvel having the rights back but they are still working with Universal (i think dont quote me) for another Hulk and possible Namor movie.

Namor rights are back at Marvel and currently there are no plans for a movie. Any info is listed at Namor the Sub-Mariner#Film, which is fine for the time being. And I don't believe Universal has any involvement now with anything Hulk related (movie-wise). The page is currently being created here, which you can help contribute to, with any reliable information. I see that you have started something on your talk page. First, you should not test or create anything on your talk page. That is what your sandbox is for (linked up in the top right corner of the page). Also, most of the content you have added on your talk page falls under WP:CBALL which should not be included. Work with editors like myself or TriiipleThreat and USE TALKPAGES!!!! That will let us and other editors know that you are looking to include something, especially if you are unsure, or wondering if it will be revert (which seems to happen a lot I gather??). - Favre1fan93 (talk) 19:53, 15 July 2013 (UTC)

Super Megaforce and Gokaiger

As with the past several years of this kind of stuff on Wikipedia, do not mention Gokaiger in relation to Super Megaforce until it is explicitly stated by reliable sources that the two shows are related. As of right now, you only have the comparison between images, which as decided sometime last year before the premiere of Megaforce was not good enough.—Ryulong (琉竜) 17:04, 18 July 2013 (UTC)

Hmmm... the hook should be unique/interesting. The announcement of a title doesn't seem so.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 14:54, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
Okay. How about this: Did you know, that Ultron is the main villain in Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron and his origin will be told? (or expand upon that?) - Favre1fan93 (talk) 14:58, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
How about something to do with it sharing its subtitle with the 2013 comic miniseries, but not being an adaptation of it? Or maybe something about how it'll be the fourth Marvel movie to film in Pinewood-Shepperton Studios in the UK? -Fandraltastic (talk) 15:47, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
I was not thinking in that direction, but I like that! Options:
Did you know that the sequel to Marvel's The Avengers, Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron, shares its subtitle with a 2013 comic crossover event of the same name?
Did you know that Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron will be the fourth Marvel Studios movie to film in Pinewood-Shepperton Studios in the UK? - Favre1fan93 (talk) 15:53, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
How about: Did you know that despite its subtitle, Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron, the sequel to Marvel's The Avengers, is not based on the comic book series of the same name?--TriiipleThreat (talk) 17:43, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
I like that. Just changed in it to include "Marvel's". But I like the way it's worded and the content/hook. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:48, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
Okay the nomination is done, see Template:Did you know nominations/The Avengers: Age of Ultron.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 20:13, 22 July 2013 (UTC)

Undid that's not an undo

For an edit summary don't say you undid an edit when you actually made an adjustment to that edit. I understand what you did and why you did it, but the edit summary unnecessarily casts a bad light on my edits. Spidey104 18:51, 22 July 2013 (UTC)

Oh my bad Spidey! Just trying to do one full swoop. But as you did see, the film should be referenced as Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron, so if you see it anywhere else, it should be noted as such (at least for the first time or in tables etc. Then after that if it's needed within context. You can look at this edit to see what I mean. Multiple uses of The Avengers on the page, but I just changed the first occurrence and then again when it mentioned Whedon.) - Favre1fan93 (talk) 19:04, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
I recognize what you did and why you did it. (The article titles not including the "Marvel's" does make things difficult.) It was how you did it that I was contending with, so I appreciate you acknowledging your mistake. I just wanted to point it out so you were aware it. You've acknowledged it, so I'll consider it water under the bridge.
I think this is my first time ever posting to your talk page, but I have come to recognize your username as a competent editor. I don't want you to think I thought this was an indication of your normal editing, but rather I know it as an anomaly. Have a good day! Spidey104 22:03, 22 July 2013 (UTC)

Hi, Favre1fan93. Would you be willing to offer your two cents again on the talk page? I know you already did, but with a slightly revised version being offered, I would like to be able to reach a major consensus among editors. Cheers, and good job on your recent work for the Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron article! ~ Jedi94 (talk) 20:43, 23 July 2013 (UTC)

Sure. And thanks! Also, can you comment on this edit that I had previously done on that page. It was also undone by Spshu, and would like your opinion on my formatting and intent. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:05, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

Brain Bloom

Brian Bloom has been confirmed for Black Mask for Batman: Arkham Origins.

Not by any reliable sources. All you have add are either fan sites, or don't actually say anything stating that. The fansite, that does use a Twitter account source, is unreliable because that specific tweet is no longer there. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:56, 27 July 2013 (UTC)

You can hear his voice during the trailer. And by the way Ron Perlman has been confirmed as Deathstroke, Chris Cox has been confirmed as Deadshot and Martin Jarvis as Alfred. All confirmed on IMDB

"Hearing" his voice in the trailer is WP:OR and WP:SYNTH. IMdB is an unreliable source when dealing with acting credits. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 01:52, 28 July 2013 (UTC)

Avengers 2

Well Thanos has been confirmed for this film, the movie is called age of ultron so Ultron does have a role in the film. So stop deleting my stuff that is confirmed and leave me alone. And by the way I made the Batman: Arkham page so I can actually report/get you blocked so.

Nope. You are wrong on all accounts. Thanos has not been confirmed for the film by anyone from Marvel through a reliable source. Ultron has not been confirmed as a character or something that will have a voice over actor, so that does not belong in that section. Captain America has not been confirmed for the film. You are using original research based on the fact that Evans signed a multi-film deal, that did not specify which films those included. You did not create Batman: Arkham (as seen here on the left); that was done by MrYazMan300. And you can't claim ownership of an article, even if you believe you created it, because we all work together to make it better. And your edits are not making anything better, so that warrants my claim that you can be blocked, which you have no grounds on for me, because you have not seemed to learn how to constructively contribute to these pages. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 15:53, 28 July 2013 (UTC)

I did create Batman: Arkham dude! It was originally called, Batman: Arkham Asylum series. But one of you guys wrote to me saying, "Oh no it cant be called that for some stupid ass decision." So then MrYanMan300 saw that on my talk page took that and made it his own god damn page and claimed credit for the work I did. And by the way Kevin Feige himself confirmed Thanos being in the film and Joss Whedon himself said that Ultron wont be built by Hank Pym. So I guess your wrong for a change! - TreCoolGuy

Regardless of if you created the page or not, you still can't say "And by the way I made the Batman: Arkham page so I can actually report/get you blocked so." I can't personally go around saying that I created the page and AM THE OWNER because I had the idea and it was getting ready in my sandbox, until two other editors decided to try and create the page. Someone else made, great, and now we work together to make it better. And again, your edits were not making the page better. Next order of business. Feige has only confirmed Thanos is appearing in Guardians and the fact that he appeared in the post credits of Avengers does not warrant any inclusion for him in Age of Ulton. No where is it confirmed he will be there. And that's great that Whedon said that Ultron won't be built by Pym. But that says nothing about an actor voicing or portraying him in the movie, so that can't be added to the page. You really should not seem so hostile towards other editors and really start working together (as suggested by you saying "So then MrYanMan300 saw that on my talk page took that and made it his own god damn page and claimed credit for the work I did.") - Favre1fan93 (talk) 21:20, 28 July 2013 (UTC)

paramount promotion

Why not they are promoting the films. I didnt say that they distributed it I put... promotion only; distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, produced by Marvel Studios.

Read the first line of the page: "This is a list of selected films released' by Paramount Pictures." Those two films were not released or distributed by Paramount, and should not be included. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 21:20, 28 July 2013 (UTC)

Photo consensus discussion at Talk:Rick Remender

Hi. Can you offer your opinion regarding the Infobox photo discussion here? Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 19:21, 28 July 2013 (UTC)

Hi, again. Sorry to bother you, but another photo (more like a new set of photos) has been found and uploaded, and added to the choices in the discussion. A new issue is which photo those who participated before that photo was added would have favored had they seen it, so I'm requesting that all those who did so view the photo and indicate whether or not their favored photo has changed. Thanks, I really appreciate. Nightscream (talk) 02:13, 30 July 2013 (UTC)

CA:TWS quote

I wanted to come-by and further explain my revert of your good faith edit. The quote from Joe Russo did not provide any specific information. It basically said that it will tie-into the MCU, which we already know. The MCU page for example has dozens of quote of how the films specifically tie-into the larger universe. I know they can't say much at this time but maybe after the release, they can talk more openly about it. The only bit of new information is the "significant shift in the universe", but he fails to describe the shift, even vaguely, so its basically meaningless to the readers. Hope this helps, you're a quality editor.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 12:21, 30 July 2013 (UTC)

Arkham Origins Robin Discussion

Hey Mr. Favre, I have added a source by none other than Eric Holmes confirming that Robin is Dick Grayson. 99.228.250.204 (talk) 15:57, 23 August 2013 (UTC)

Mr. Favre, your source is from Justin Massongill who has absolutely nothing to do with game itself, whereas my source is from Eric Holmes the creative director for the game. Mr. Holmes has said (to avoid confusion) that it is just Tim Drake's costume being used but the Robin in the suit is Dick Grayson. We can't trust a blog versus a confirmation tweet by the creative director. WWE Batman131 (talk) 17:00, 23 August 2013 (UTC) - WWE Batman131

That's because this is a third-party source reporting on the game, from the official PlayStation blog, which is perfectly acceptable. His article states that when he played the demo, a Splash Damage representative confirmed to him that it was Tim Drake. Then, Holmes claims that it is Grayson, even though he is the CD for the main game. Thus we have valid conflicting reports. As such, we are in no rush to add the info, and can wait for further clarification or confirmation. While, yes, I personally feel it is Dick, we can use personal opinions and feelings towards one source while another contradicts it. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:41, 23 August 2013 (UTC)
Twitter, like Facebook and Youtube, should not be being used as a source anyway, it is not reliable long term and every single of them is going to need replacing to turn it into any kind of a quality article and, yes, like Favre says, there is no rush to add information, it is neither a news site nor a fan site, it is an encyclopedia we do not need to add information because it exists somewhere. Darkwarriorblake (talk) 19:19, 23 August 2013 (UTC)
You're both right, there is no rush to add information and I'm fine with waiting. WWE Batman131 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 20:40, 23 August 2013 (UTC)

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes

Psylocke being revealed on vine is legit. It was in a tweet from Joe Moore who is games designer at TT Games and the vine video was of Arthur Parsons himself listing characters.

The problem with the vine video is the fact that we don't know in what context Parsons is talking about. Yes it say he is "pitching" but we don't know 100% that he is listing characters to appear. While it does seem so, we don't have the full context in those 6 seconds to be absolutely positive. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 23:02, 24 August 2013 (UTC)

Name of the Council/Circle of Eternity

I don't have access to any titles right now, but can you verify the name of the council of Wizards from the Rock of Eternity? Various online sources say "Circle of Eternity", while others say "Council...". Thanks! || Tako (bother me) || 15:11, 26 August 2013 (UTC)

Justice League #6 back up says Council of Eternity; Justice League #0 says Council of Wizards, keepers of the Rock of Eternity; JL #0 backup says Council. I don't have access at the moment to anything Trinity War related, but I believe it should be referenced as Council. However, I do remember seeing it as Circle, in the Newsarama source for Trinity War lead up on the Trinity War page. Is there an issue that came up somewhere regarding it? - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:24, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
No real issues yet; just trying to keep it consistent for the future. There are probably a few articles where there are conflicting names for them, or a complete lack of name, ("the seven wizards of the rock of eternity"). I'll have a look through some issues when I have a chance. || Tako (bother me) || 18:10, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
Okay. Sounds good. I believe what I have listed above are all the appearances they make in the New 52 before any Trinity War stuff. Oh! Just found another; Phantom Stranger #0, Council of Wizards. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 19:14, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
In JL #0:
  • "I am the last of the Council of Wizards and the keeper of the Rock of Eternity" - The Wizard
  • "You are now the inheritor of my chair on the Council of Eternity" - The Wizard
  • "...and for the first time since I was sentenced by the Council of Eternity..." - Pandora
In Phantom Stranger #0: "...I've been brought before the Council of Wizards"
In JL #19: "We are the Council of Eternity, Aman." - The Wizard
In JL #6:
  • "The Circle of Eternity made it clear, Pandora" - Phantom Stranger
  • "I'm curious of the Circle of Eternity thinks you can truly stop me." - Pandora
  • ..after the Circle's destruction" - Pandora
Online sources and press releases:
Eh, I'll just use Council of Eternity, then. || Tako (bother me) || 21:43, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
Okay. And apologies on saying "Council" for JL #6. I read it as "Circle" and typed "Council". But I believe it should be Council. That wording fits them better anyways imo. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 22:28, 26 August 2013 (UTC)

Arkham Origins Setting

Hey Mr. Favre, would you mind lending a hand at Batman: Arkham Origins. There are two IP users that have been repeatedly altering the setting even though there is a clear and perfect source provided. GOTG

By title I mean he's a part of the core team. There's no reason to put him that far down just because of a press release set before he was cast. It's ignoring common sense. As you said, there are other ways to do it, and there's no point in being so stringent in this case when it's just common sense that Rocket belong at the top of the cast with the rest of the core team that the film gets its namesake from. Also, Retro AutoParts brought up Arnold Schwarzenegger being higher than George Clooney on the Batman Forever cast billing as justification for keeping Groot and Rocket lower (???) but on the Batman Forever page you don't see Mr. Freeze above Batman, because Batman is the title character. Likewise, Rocket is a part of the core team of the film's namesake here. Suzuku (talk) 23:09, 30 August 2013 (UTC)

But you missed the part where I said consensus for the MCU film pages has been determined to order casting by press releases/billing blocks, and then if new casting is added before a new one is release, at the bottom. If you want to do it your way, try to form consensus, but it was attempted at the CapTWS page, and it didn't change. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 23:17, 30 August 2013 (UTC)
Just ignore him, Favre. He probably is that IP address doing the same thing. I've told him the credit goes at the bottom of the list, he won't listen. Rusted AutoParts 00:43, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
Well I'm definitely not assuming that they are those IPs, because IPs have been doing this to these pages all the time. I DO however want to inform Suzuku as to why their edits are being reverted, which is what I was trying to do. If they doesn't take it now, then at least I can say I tried. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 01:37, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

Format-related and more

I have read your comment and the storyline links have been italicized before the thing that involved the quotes being around the storyline or event link. Of course some other people appear to agree with you on the quotes. When it came to the "Trinity War," I was surprised that the female Atom and the old prosethics of Cyborg were associated with the Crime Syndicate and the Secret Society of Super Villains' leader who turned out to be the Alfred Pennyworth of Earth-Three. The conclusion of this storyline will lead right into the "Forever Evil" event (which is where the supervillains who haven't appeared in "The New 52" event will debut in their own comics). What do you think of the "Trinity War" so far? Rtkat3 (Rtkat3 (talk) 5:56, August 31 2013 (UTC)

I'm sorry. Can you explain your first sentence better? I don't understand what you are trying to say. I forgot to mention, for the case of say Forever Evil, if talking about the crossover then the formatting is "Forever Evil". But if you are referencing the limited series, then it is Forever Evil. I enjoyed Trinity War. I thought it could have been in three issues instead of six, but did not see the Cyborg thing coming. I was still a little shocked about Atom being the mole and "The Outsider" being from Earth-Three, but I would have liked it better if it wasn't spoiled! (Also, New 52 should not be in quotes, as you did in your post. No formatting necessary for it; just straight letters.) - Favre1fan93 (talk) 22:03, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
I was saying that the storyline links were often italicized before the storyline links were in quotations. Does that help with the explanation? Rtkat3 (talk) 6:05, August 31 2013 (UTC)
Yes I understand. But I think that was users taking something like Forever Evil, which is the name of both a miniseries and a crossover event, and just putting it in italics. But with Trinity War, as there was no comic that came out called that, it can't be in italics, only double quotes. Did I explain myself a little better, too? - Favre1fan93 (talk) 22:21, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
Yes you did. Rtkat3 (talk) 8:26, August 31 2013 (UTC)
Cool. Again, good job with all the content additions. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 04:21, 1 September 2013 (UTC)

Could you remove the deletion request? You have not shown any proof to back up your claims. I doubt you could actually find proof, as I know I am right and you are just making false accusations. Back your claims up with something otherwise it is just obnoxious, eh? Come on! - KikdaBuffoon889 (talk) 22:21, 3 September 2013 (UTC)

No. It's a copyright violation. You just copied the photo from here, "altered" it and called it your own. The site from which you took it, first should not have even been used, and second, the original uploader has not expressed any sort of release for the image should be used. Even if you stated them as the original uploader, that gives you no right to add it to Wikipedia or Commons. So instead of accusing me of an "obnoxious" claim, why don't you read up on Wikipedia's rules on copy right and image upload. That will save us both a lot of frustration. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 23:20, 3 September 2013 (UTC)
Uh, no it's not a copyright violation because I have permission from the uploader. I'll be adding a link to that permission e-mail soon. Plus, why are you frustrated, you are the one who is getting on my nerves with these "copyright complaints". Hold on, when did I claim that it is mine, I'm trying to give full credit to the original uploader. Again with false accusations. Keep it coming, eh. - KikdaBuffoon889 (talk) 01:00, 4 September 2013 (UTC)

I can. Just used the edit summary to start it. That edit fixed the page up, and included the video properly linked. That was the reason for reverting you. But I can. I don't know. The whole thing is odd because of the whole "still in talks" thing. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:03, 6 September 2013 (UTC)
True, but the part where he was talking about his daughter pointing at Groot and he said "from that moment on I was Groot", I thinks it's fair to say this is a confirmation. Plus, Maria practically forced it out of him. He would have dropped a line saying he was still in talks. Rusted AutoParts 03:07, 6 September 2013 (UTC)
I know. I just don't know what it is. Just something about the wording/body language makes me doubt it. But I'm not denying it could be the confirmation. Just questioning if it truly is. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:13, 6 September 2013 (UTC)

Zatanna in Justice League

Do you have a source that actually says that Zatanna is a member, because I have read the full Trinity War and I would say she is no more part of the Justice League than any of the JLA or JLD members are.NTC TNT (talk) 01:51, 7 September 2013 (UTC)

I was going off of this source. She did "join" the team then, but as we are all screwed up timewise now with Forever Evil, I guess we will get a clear answer once that's done. But I thought that source was pretty clear. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:21, 7 September 2013 (UTC)
"Zatanna said that if we ever needed her, she'd be there for us." "We're already making a call." I know we have a news source, but I see no proof in the comics themselves. I dont really think we're screwed up timewise any more than before. I think it was Didio, maybe someone else, that said once Forever Evil finishes, the other series will catch up. From the Trinity War, it doesnt seem like anything special has happened during the gap. Most likely what Superman is refering to in the quote I gave, is on the Watchtower when they were interviewing possible new members and she said she couldnt commit to the League full time. I will leave it up to you, or at least until theres some sort of solid proof that shes not a member. NTC TNT (talk) 02:27, 9 September 2013 (UTC)
I'm fine if you want to delete her, and then wait it out. If it turns out it is more permanent, we can just re add it. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:06, 9 September 2013 (UTC)

Hello again, Favre1fan93. I was hoping you can add your input to this discussion regarding The Butler. DC's New 52

Are there any New 52 related pages you might need help on? Ive read several of the series and could prioritize any that you request on my future reading list. NTC TNT (talk) 23:38, 9 September 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for the offer! What I would say, for the time being, is to update any character pages or title pages with any info that has come out of The New 52. As well, see if the infoboxes need to be updated, or added all together. Especially look into the creative team for these. Mainly I'm just working on Trinity War, Forever Evil, Batman: Zero Year, The New 52 and the list of publications page. I have to find the time to tackle Trinity War again, to cut down some of the plot info. So if you'd like to help there, that'd be appreciated. What I was planning to do there, was in the Lead-up section, remove or hid any info that didn't really pan out to affect the story, and add anything that I missed that did, like Despero telling Atom he knows she has a secret, etc. As well, the main plot for each issue has to be trimmed. Let me know what you've read, and we can see what might be the best to do, based on that. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 00:24, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
I've read Justice League, Justice League Dark, Justice League of America, Justice League of America's Vibe, Katana, Mister Terrific, Earth 2, Worlds Finest, Aquaman, Flash, Huntress, Animal Man, Swamp Thing, I, Vampire, Constantine, Trinity of Sin: The Phantom Stranger, Trinity of Sin: Pandora, Hawk and Dove, Static Shock, the Deadman issues of DC Universe Presents, and Im currently working on Justice League International (stalled out because of the firestorm crossover), Green Arrow(struggling to find interest in it), and The Fury of Firestorm: The Nuclear Men. I also have to ask, why does Throne of Atlantis have a page on here, but there isnt one for I, Vampire and Justice League Dark crossover, the Rotworld story arc(Swamp Thing and Animal Man) or the JLI and Firestorm crossover? NTC TNT (talk) 07:20, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
Wow. That's quite the number of books. More than me. About those crossovers: it's because no one created them. I believe they are acceptable to have pages, and you are more than welcome to create them. I personally read the JLD and I, Vampire one. But if you are to create them, I would suggest using Trinity War as a template to known the type of headings and material you need. Basically good summaries of the issues involved and definitely the reception section, with reviews from IGN, CBR and Newsarama, if you can find them. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 12:39, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
Personally, I think the majority of crossover arcs don't need to have their own article, unless it's like really critically aclaimed, spans more than two issues/titles, etc - currently, there are some random articles about crossovers floating around, and their half-finished summaries lacking any kind of actual real-world relevance. though I was thinking of a 'List of New 52 crossover story arcs' article which would document both minor and major crossovers. I've read every New 52 book, so I would definitely be able to pitch in if something like that would be possible. || Tako (bother me) || 15:51, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
Tako, you have a point. Could we make a list of crossovers page work? The main reason I was wanting pages for the crossovers was because they could be helpful to readers so that they can know when 2 titles crossover so that they can be prepared and have the appropriate comics read or at least nearby. One option may be to add them to the notes column on the List of The New 52 publications page. NTC TNT (talk) 17:27, 11 September 2013 (UTC)

I agree Tako, that a List of crossover page would be good. If there is not enough at the moment to warrant its own page, we can add it to the List of publications page. I believe, like you said, that if it is critically enough (ie Wrath of the First Lantern possibly) then it can get its own page, otherwise, just add it to this list of page (or wherever it ends up). - Favre1fan93 (talk) 20:01, 11 September 2013 (UTC)

I actually 'started' (more like just made a list of some things) this idea in my sandbox, while thinking about this a few months ago. So, if either of you would like to pitch in there, please go ahead. || Tako (bother me) || 21:28, 11 September 2013 (UTC)

The Big Bang Theory

It was actually relevant to the show, and it's not at all a general conversation. The Big Bang Theory's Wikipedia needs a controversy section and why these show is atrocious in Wikipedia. I forgot since Wikipedia is biased they will not include it. There are controversies with this show, and I'm not even lying, especially with the laugh track or not, or the mocking of the nerds but they do it in a extreme manner. They go over board with the stereotypes. There are too much for Wikipedia to list for me and read off to you in a post. It's sad but true. Trust me. I'm just just speaking the truth. You're only messaging me with a vandalism because you like The Big Bang Theory with a passion, that's all it is. panicpack121 22:18 September 9 2013

No, I'm messaging you because your post did nothing to warrant a discussion. Just you ranting on your feelings of the show. You provide no language that suggests you want to possibly add those "controversies" to the page. If that is your intention, then I highly suggest you change your wording and find reliable sources to back up your claims and THEN repost. Otherwise, your posting is not beneficial to that page and just vandalism. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:27, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, the sources are correct and what, I had used profanity 7-8 times in a correct manner compared to people who say "FUCK THIS SHOW." I mean seriously, I wasn't even breaking any guidelines here in my last comment that I had made about it. Since it's Wikipedia, I'm being Conservative, when in fact, I'm more a Liberal with my views. You can say I'm kind of deleting things that will not be in the Wikipedia post compared to Tumblr, Facebook, or Twitter altogether - those social networks - I say the real thing on The Big Bang Theory. But whatever...
Back to the point: the sources are right in our faces the whole time. That's where I'm actually getting it from the show (literally), not a site. They're mocking people with disabilities, nerds, dumb blond stereotypes, etc. Everyone knows the nerds/geek, but they exploit disabled individuals with Asperger's on the show... I'm not even kidding you, how is that even passed the censors these days? Oh wait, I forgot, except porn is excluded but these "smart" shows exist, give me a break.. I'm not making this up... It's easy to notice this because television agencies are too cheap to produce and finance anything, I swear the last time they were good (besides DIY and underground) was Friends... Wow...
The controversial topics on religion (I'm Jewish, however, I've heard other people complain too, so yeah...), or how they blatantly steal from Star Trek with the catchphrase "Bazinga," how it could not be evident? (They think that Middle America will not acknowledge this reference...) They're also completely sexist, gender biased, and if I remember correctly: Sheldon (I think that's correct) thinks that a woman cannot play this game better than a woman. Once if a girl plays it and beats him, that's where the line is drawn. So he states in a "smartass" tone:
"Woman are still inferior being compared to men or something like that."
panicpack121 23:07 September 9 2013
You're still just ranting. If you want these "views" to be considered or discussed on the talk page, you need to search the web, find reliable, third-party sources that state them, and then bring them back for others to discuss. And "wording" does not always have to mean profanity, which I did not mean at all in this case. You used no "wording" that would suggest you wanted this material to be discussed. It's just you ranting your opinion, which for the umpteenth time, has no purpose on The Big Bang Theory's, or any, talk page. And until then, you'll just be going off to deaf ears, because frankly, no one cares your personal opinion on proposed content unless you have something to back it up with. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 04:32, 10 September 2013 (UTC)

Arkham City Lockdown

Hey Mr. Favre, don't know if you are active right now, but I did receive your message and I have added a source confirming Conroy and Hamill in Lockdown on the Batman: Arkham page. - Mainstreammark (talk) 00:41, 11 September 2013 (UTC)

Mark Pacini

Hey Mr. Favre. I have just created a new Wikipedia page for Mark Pacini. Not sure if anything more needs to be added - some help would really be great. Thanks -- Mainstreammark (talk) 01:08, 12 September 2013 (UTC)

I did gather the information in the article from the external links, so should I use them as references instead? Your opinion is important as this is my first time creating an article on my own. Thank you for reviewing the article in such a short time and whatever advice you can give me will be followed to the best of my capabilities. Thanks Mr. Favre. -- Mainstreammark (talk) 02:40, 12 September 2013 (UTC)

Ant-Man (film)

Hey I was wondering if you could do me a favor. I'll be taking a wikivacation for the next couple of weeks and was wondering if you could monitor the outcome of Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:Article Incubator/Ant-Man (film). If by chance it gets made into a stand-alone article, could you please nominate it for WP:DYK? Thanks.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 21:48, 27 August 2013 (UTC)

Of course! Enjoy your wikibreak! Classes will be starting up for me soon, so I won't be on as much as I have been, but I will be monitoring! If I feel any thing really pertinent comes up, would you want me to ping your talk page or anything? - Favre1fan93 (talk) 23:21, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
Hey just letting you know that I'm back and thanks for nominating the article for me. Anything interesting happen while I was gone?--TriiipleThreat (talk) 15:02, 12 September 2013 (UTC)
Awesome! Will post on your talk page (been writing it up as it has happened). - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:14, 12 September 2013 (UTC)

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate

I'm sorry about the unreliable source I added from IMDB, I have added a reliable source that confirms Roger Craig Smith will also be lending his voice for Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.228.250.204 (talk) 16:28, 15 August 2013 (UTC)

No problem. Just good for you to know if the future! Great job with the correct source now! - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:44, 15 August 2013 (UTC)

It says in the first paragraph and I quote "In a video interview with The Escapist Pacini confirmed Blackgate will feature the same voice actor talent as Arkham Origins on consoles and PC." But I'm not looking for an edit-war. We can wait for full confirmation of these voice actors if you do so desire. Later - Mainstreammark (talk) 00:54, 13 September 2013 (UTC)

Would you mind giving me your opinion on this? I want to start a "Release" section for Origins Blackgate but I am unsure if this site http://electronictheatre.co.uk/playstation3/playstation3-news/40863/batman-arkham-origins-blackgate-offer-playstation-3-gamers-hidden-bonus has enough reliability to back it up. Thanks - Mainstreammark (talk) 16:14, 22 September 2013 (UTC)

No. Doesn't look reliable enough, and I can't find this info anywhere else. WP:NORUSH. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:20, 22 September 2013 (UTC)

Batman: Arkham Origins

Hello again, I've recently made some changes to Batman: Arkham Origins. I'd really appreciate it if you could look over my edits just to make sure everything is authentic and precise. You seem to be a very reasonable professional on Wikipedia and so I trust your judgement on this. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by WWE Batman131 (talkcontribs) 03:06, 16 August 2013 (UTC)

Thanks Dark. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:00, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

So another red-link user has begun editing on Origins, his user name is mainstreammark, now my wrestling terminology knowledge says that a mainstream mark is someone who believes wrestling elements are real? Just mentioning it because our other friends is WWE Batman who is associated with uploading copy vio images and when challenged, suddenly had a friend, DeadStrokeKevin, another Origins related user who began uploading copyright vios. Just keeping you informed. Darkwarriorblake (talk) 22:38, 26 August 2013 (UTC)

Did see those edits, and at the moment, they seem harmless. But also to keep you informed, I have started a discussion at the Commons Village Pump regarding our copyvio image friends, about a possible block for them. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 22:44, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
I could use your help with something, the skins segment has been expanded by Mainstreammark but the current phrasing doesn't work, as the outfits are not based on designs worn by the character IN Neal Adams or First Appearance, the latter 3 are just mainstream alternate designs. I'm trying to think how to phrase it but its late here and I'm tired so I'm struggling to think how to rewrite the last part, potentialy breaking it into a new sentence. Don't know if you have an idea. Darkwarriorblake (talk) 00:20, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
I've got it. No problem. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 02:23, 17 September 2013 (UTC)

Hey Mr. Favre. Sorry to bother you but I found this website that in a disappointing way revealed Lady Shiva to be one of the eight assassins hired by Black Mask. Here is the website http://www.exophase.com/game/ozzy-codename-xbox/achievements/ Thanks -- Mainstreammark (talk) 00:23, 21 September 2013 (UTC)

That is an achievement site, and it's info and reliability should be taken with a grain of salt. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 00:50, 21 September 2013 (UTC)
Thank you sir. - Mainstreammark (talk) 01:03, 21 September 2013 (UTC)

Really glad that Arkham Origins is now protected until after the game's release. Things were really getting out of control. By the way, I fell off my couch laughing at your edit. - Mainstreammark (talk) 18:16, 22 September 2013 (UTC)

I messaged Mark Arsten, the admin, about the protection. He has been very helpful in regards to getting the pages blocked quickly when needed. And I'm glad you enjoyed that. I will now, however, scale that down, as IPs, who use the VE and can't see hidden comments, won't be editing the page. It will still be there though for the autoconfirmed users that read an article and feel the need to add it. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 19:53, 22 September 2013 (UTC)

So hey I found this news source that revealed quite a few characters for Arkham Origins. http://www.ibtimes.co.in/articles/508212/20130923/batman-arkham-origins-characters-riddler-lady-shiva.htm Do you think it's usable for the Characters section? Make sure you skip over the Riddler/Lady Shiva section as it is irrelevant, but the other characters mentioned caught my eye. Tell me what you think. - Mainstreammark (talk) 12:14, 23 September 2013 (UTC)

If referring to Batgirl, then I think that is a very weak inclusion. Holmes stated himself that she will not appear, which can be read into as, Batgirl will not appear, but Barbara Gordon may. (I'm personally hoping either or do appear.) However, there has not been anything else to come out to question what Holmes originally said. So I'd say pass. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 15:58, 23 September 2013 (UTC)

Yeah I wasn't sure whether to use a collapsible or to do it the way it is currently. All fine by me. - Mainstreammark (talk) 01:05, 24 September 2013 (UTC)

New Article

Hey Favre, would you care to review Music of Batman: Arkham Origins for me? Put a lot of hard work into it. Thanks - Mainstreammark (talk) 17:24, 28 September 2013 (UTC)

The merging is fine by me, but the main reason I gave the score it's own article was so that users like us would not have to constantly revert premature edits that add Killer Croc to the article. You know how some users are, pretty sure that there are more users out there like Mfroggat (who I thank Mark Arsten for blocking) that will constantly add premature edits to the article. We just managed to end The Riddler / Lady Shiva saga and I'm hoping we don't see one for Killer Croc. So we'll see what happens Favre. Later. - Mainstreammark (talk) 18:36, 28 September 2013 (UTC)

The page is protected until December. I think we are good. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 18:37, 28 September 2013 (UTC)
Hope so. - Mainstreammark (talk) 18:39, 28 September 2013 (UTC)

Rossini is not a part of the game, nor is he among the living. The song was just originally composed by him. Drake's re-composing of the song will be used for Origins. He does not need to be THAT noticeable, as a simple note is more satisfactory imo. Also, I don't think it's hidden because of the use of a wiki-link and as you stated "All music composed by Christopher Drake, except where noted." Said with all due respect and I appreciate the assumption of good faith. - Mainstreammark (talk) 20:10, 28 September 2013 (UTC)

Right. I actually just clicked the wikilink and realized that. However, as we don't know have the full credits, we don't know how much Drake did to it. I'm trying to think of the best way to use the note. Probably "Originally composed by Gioachino Rossini." - Favre1fan93 (talk) 20:44, 28 September 2013 (UTC)
I really like the way you put it. I may try to think of a better wording. Thanks - Mainstreammark (talk) 21:18, 28 September 2013 (UTC)

Could you do me a favor?

Hey Favre. I've been waiting for my proposed article on Ben Mattes to be reviewed, but it feels like it's taking forever. I am a bit inpatient, so would you be able to review it for me? Thanks. - Mainstreammark (talk) 00:26, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

Avengers Proposition....Sort Of

Hey Favre. I'm going to start contributing to The Avengers: Age of Ultron. I've already begun editing as you can see here. Don't know if this well help you or hurt you, but I will do my best to help the article. Thanks. - Mainstreammark (talk) 01:25, 4 October 2013 (UTC)

While it is great to have more contributors, tread lightly. These pages are prone to many editors adding the first bit of info they see, even if it is a rumor or an unofficial confirmation. So with that in mind, I encourage you to truly examine any info you want to add (I do it myself) and make sure, if say for a casting, it is an actual confirmation of an actor playing a part, and not just a source using WP:SYNTH on their part. I would also encourage, if you have the time, to read the talk page threads on all of the MCU pages, so you can see the type of issues that come up and how consensus was built for those issues, as some apply across many of the films. I'm not saying this to be discouraging, only so you can positively contribute without getting reverted all the time. You have shown progress by working on the Arkham page, so keep that trend going. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:33, 4 October 2013 (UTC)

The Nateman/Mainstreammark

Recently joined, same MO as TreCool. What do you think? Rusted AutoParts 03:48, 5 October 2013 (UTC)

Ive opened up the investigation. He hasn't learned a thing. Rusted AutoParts 04:00, 5 October 2013 (UTC)
The Nateman maybe (hard to tell), but definitely not Mark. I've dealt with him on the Batman: Arkham pages, and while he exhibited traits of Tre, he has overcome them and does positively contribute to those articles. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 04:29, 5 October 2013 (UTC)
Thank you again Mr. Favre. Mr. AutoParts, I am honestly telling you the truth. I never do or become what I am being accused for. A quick question, how come The Nateman has not been informed about the investigation? When I saw the message on my talk page, I was speechless. When I tried to see Nateman's reaction to this I saw that he has not been informed (yet). Mr. Favre, do you think Mr. Blake would be able to voice his opinion in this investigation? He was one of the first two users that I told the truth, and I hope he doesn't see me as the same inexperienced rookie who uploaded violations and could not even provide a reliable source. - Mainstreammark (talk) 14:18, 5 October 2013 (UTC)

Meta-discussion about AC4BF release-date editing saga

[TL;DR: you can totally ignore this message, forever, and nothing bad will happen because of it -- yay! -- so no worries if you are busy with other things.] Hi, sorry to bother you. I am interested in how to improve civility and communication on wikipedia, and have started a topic which uses some of your recent edits (by chance) as a case-study. If you would like to make sure I am not saying anything unfair about you, or mischaracterizing the situation, it is over here. User_talk:Kudpung#Assassin.27s_Creed_Black_Flag_PS4 Please note that this is the talkpage of a reasonably high-level admin, Kudpung, who happened to be tangentially involved in the AC4BF difficulty. The reason the discussion is at their talkpage is because they are also deeply interested in helping improve the quality of adminship at wikipedia. In any case, I hope you are not unhappy that I selected some of your edits to use. I think that your behavior was fine, and I think that the end result was fine, and feel the same about the others involved, too. There are some places where I point out things person $foo might have done something better, but really and truly I'm just complaining about the flaws I see in the process, and the tools -- I think both need improvement, which is something that only high-level admins can help drive. Editors like you are not my reason for complaining; editors like you are my reason to celebrate.  :-) But wanting editing to be better, for myself and for other editors also, means openly discussing specifically where some improvements can be made, and how best to make them: policy changes, structural changes, programmatic bots, new tool design, et cetera. Anyways, if you are interested in that sort of discussion, you are welcome to visit the page above. If you have questions or complaints, you can reach me directly at my personal talkpage, over here. Thanks for making wikipedia better; see you around. 74.192.84.101 (talk) 07:52, 10 October 2013 (UTC)

p.s. Sorry I mis-spelled your username... I thought that was a lowercase-letter-L, but it turns out to be a numeral-one. I'll fix it up over at the discussion-page. 74.192.84.101 (talk) 07:54, 10 October 2013 (UTC)

The Rising Tide (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.)

I suspect such an article would be considered notable given the controversy over the name “Rising Tide.”

But, for now, I’ll leave it as is.

Cheers,
allixpeeke (talk) 19:40, 10 October 2013 (UTC)

It would have to be notable in terms of content you could make to create a quality article, and at the moment, there has not been much media coverage for it, as far as I know. That was the notable I was referring too. And the controversy info has been covered on a few SHIELD pages I believe, as well as on the Rising Tide activist page. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 19:53, 10 October 2013 (UTC)

Yes I was aware of the live stream. I know that Newsarama usually has a live blog post of the panels, and that may be able to use for sourcing. However, the page is protected, so we can wait a bit after the panel concludes to get the best source for any info needed. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 21:41, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
Thanks, and I just noticed that you were right about the YouTube channel. It's quite odd that the website redirects right back to the YouTube channel. Oh well, guess I might try to find an actual web source that confirms Bailie and Burlow. Also, would you mind giving me a link to Newsarama's panel blog? It'd really be appreciated. Thanks very much. - Mainstreammark (talk) 23:22, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

Excellent news - Eric Holmes revealed. Arkham Origins now has Electrocutioner (voiced by Steve Blum) added to it's assassins' roster. Waiting for a source to come up, in order to back up the confirmation. Really glad it was something unexpected. - Mainstreammark (talk) 00:58, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
I have one from the Arkham twitter feed. Adding that, but would like a non twitter RS to confirm character AND voice actor. Also, this for the mobile announcement. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 01:00, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
Wanna make a plan? I'll handle the Electrocutioner and you can handle the mobile. Vice-versa works for me or however you want to go about it. - Mainstreammark (talk) 01:09, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
If you want to see if an RS came up yet for Electrocutioner, that'd be good, as I have already added it to his page, the Arkham series page, and the AO page. Writing up mobile now. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 01:10, 13 October 2013 (UTC)

Don't worry Favre, the article will not be submitted until we have all info required to make it a strong article. I saved it as a draft so that info can be added there at anytime, and once we have enough info, it can be submitted for review. I wouldn't want to rush into it, by any means. I requested that if you find a good handful of important info on the game, add it to the draft or inform me and I can add it myself. - Mainstreammark (talk) 16:46, 13 October 2013 (UTC)

Do you think you could message Mark Arsten about a block for 67.240.247.155? His account is being used only for vandalism. As a fan of The Hunger Games and Ender's Game, it pains me to see vandalistic instances here and here (to name a couple). All of his contributions are vandalization of articles. I wanted to inform you because you know Mark better than me. Worried I might be overlooked. This IP is a first-class example of what is unwanted on Wikipedia. It'd really be appreciated. Thanks. - Mainstreammark (talk) 20:18, 16 October 2013 (UTC)

Report them at WP:ANV. That is the best step to use, always. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 20:20, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
I read the guidelines, and it states the user or IP must be given three warnings before any kind of block action can be taken. I've given him strike número uno. Thanks for informing me about WP:ANV. - Mainstreammark (talk) 20:57, 16 October 2013 (UTC)

Infobox photo consensus discussion

Hi. Can you offer your opinion on which photo would be better for the Rebecca Housel Infobox in this discussion? If you are unable to, I understand; you don't have to reply to this message. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 03:36, 17 October 2013 (UTC)

TAS-M 2 Teaser Poster

In regards to this file I uploaded. A user has told me that he believes this is a fan-made poster and not an official teaser poster. Just wanted to get your thoughts on this. Thanks. - Mainstreammark (talk) 21:11, 16 October 2013 (UTC)

I have not been able to find it anywhere else, so I do believe it is fan made. At first I didn't think, but I haven not found it anywhere else. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:55, 17 October 2013 (UTC)

Tre's Making Mistakes

I don't know if you're catching on to this, but the only reason Tre is supporting Locke, is so that when he is pinned down as being a sock-puppeteer yet again, he can have someone to vouch for him. It's like middle-school, where a kid thinks that if he has a friend, he'll be safe for life. It really is quite hysterical. I've also got some evidence of sock-puppetry. Look at the context that this message is written in. So he'd create / use multiple accounts to support Locke? - Mainstreammark (talk) 19:59, 20 October 2013 (UTC)

Are you taking an Arkham break?

Hey Favre. Just wondering if you'll still be editing Arkham Origins from October 23, 2013, until completion of the game. If you'd like, you can add your name to this list, to help indicate when you'll return. I'm definitely going to stay away, because this is the time where all kinds of stuff gets leaked. I pre-ordered my copy, months ago. Can't wait! - Mainstreammark (talk) 23:16, 21 October 2013 (UTC)

The Amazing Spider-Man 2

"...big man is original research. we can't assume that mean who you are wikilinking too."

What do you mean?

First of all here's a quote from the tumblr page "...the growing rumors of a ‘Big Man’ who is trying to consolidate organized crime in Manhattan."

Frederick Foswell was the only character named Big Man, and he was doing exactly that, he was trying to unify and take over the organized crime in Manhattan.

Second, I think the conlusion that this "...the construction on the prototype alternative energy power plant, complete with hydroelectric tower..." actually referes to Hydro-Man is alot bigger stretch. The power plant is most likely the place where Electro will juice up and get charged, and where some fight-scene will take place. Just because it says "...hydroelectric tower..." does not really reference Hydro-Man. Remember, Electro's transformation will include him falling down a glass chamber filled with WATER and electric eals. So to conclude, Hydro-Man is a lot looser conection than Big Man which is really kinda spot on. --Thejoker1992 (talk) 20:25, 19 October 2013 (UTC)

The Vulture conclusion is also based on looser conection, the flight harness, could actually be the golblin glider, not saying that it is and that Vulture is wrong, I presonally think it might be right, but it is also alot bigger stretch than the actual reference to Big Man.

--Thejoker1992 (talk) 20:29, 19 October 2013 (UTC)

Sorry for ranting on, but one other thing also makes it more likely that the mention of a Big Man is a reference to that character.

Look at the names that is sited as writers of the three articles.

All are obscure and smalltime characters from the comics, not well known to the general public but there they are. This makes it more likely that it is actually The Big Man/Frederick Foswell that is referenced and not for example The Kingpin as it said on this page before. --Thejoker1992 (talk) 20:39, 19 October 2013 (UTC)

Since you haven't answered me I have changed the page to include the Big Man, please don't change it back again! --Thejoker1992 (talk) 14:01, 22 October 2013 (UTC)

Website italicization

Video game news sites like Polygon and others are italicized per Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Titles. Wanted to drop a note based on your recent edit. Have a good one   czar  19:00, 22 October 2013 (UTC)

See Kotaku, Joystiq and IGN. Not italicized. Game Informer is as it is both magazine and website. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 19:01, 22 October 2013 (UTC)
Sorry. Joystiq is not a good example, as that is improperly italicized as well. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 19:02, 22 October 2013 (UTC)
(edit conflict) It doesn't have to do with being a magazine. Here is the direct quote from that guideline's page:

Website titles may or may not be italicized depending on the type of site and what kind of content it features. Online magazines, newspapers, and news sites with original content should generally be italicized (Salon.com or The Huffington Post).

I'm not involved with how Kotaku/Joystiq/IGN consensus was made, but Polygon appears to fit the guideline quite well (as does its sister sites). I would appreciate your revert, and if you disagree, we can take this to WT:VG for consensus.   czar  19:04, 22 October 2013 (UTC)
Hmm. Well my apologies then. I have always worked under the assumption that websites are not italicized. That should probably have some more clarity as to choosing one or the other, at least in the first sentence. Feel free to revert me again. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 19:07, 22 October 2013 (UTC)

Sorry. I'm not trying to get into an edit war with you. I'll refrain from editing the characters section......

However, I watched the first 45 minutes of a 2-hour gameplay video on Youtube last night. I can confirm that all of those characters are in the game. I don't know how much more reliable of a source you can get. Here is the link if you care to watch. The Riddler is known at Enigma (and has been confirmed as appearing in the game by WB Games elsewhere). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNTc5gU2-g4 TheLastAmigo (talk) 19:08, 22 October 2013 (UTC)

While that's all well and good, it is submitted by a fan channel, which can not be used per WP:VIDEOLINK (wrong one used in the edit summary). WB Games has not confirmed his inclusion either, so him and the others you added, can not be added to the page at this time. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 19:11, 22 October 2013 (UTC)
If you actually watch the video, you will see that it is 100% legit and not some fan edit. I won't add those characters back, but I think it is kind of ignorant not to add them when it is so obvious based on that video that they are actually in the game. There is no way in hell that that video is fan made. TheLastAmigo (talk) 19:17, 22 October 2013 (UTC)
It's not that it is fan made and I'm not questioning it's authenticity. It is the fact it is not being given to us by any channel associated with Warner Bros. Interactive, Warner Bros. Montreal, or DC. That's the issue and what is talked about in WP:VIDEOLINK. That is why it can't be used. As well, the game is *officially* out in three days, so I am more than positive those characters will get proper, reliable source coverage, so we don't have to rush into it now, with a fan's game feed. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 19:38, 22 October 2013 (UTC)
Fair enough. You sold me. :) TheLastAmigo (talk) 20:04, 22 October 2013 (UTC)
No problem. I'm just as excited about the game as it seems you are, but we have to still take Wikipedia guidelines into account when adding info to the Arkham pages. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 20:29, 22 October 2013 (UTC)

Iron Man 3

How, exactly? Technically, they mean the same thing, though "stylized" leads to bad thoughts ("stylization" is meant to refer to alternate casing and the use of non-pronounced symbols, not changing a word entirely; "three" != "3").

...Also technically, "Iron Man Three" would be the correct title, since it's what the movie itself (what the article is about) actually uses. Hm. Despatche (talk) 04:54, 24 October 2013 (UTC)

First point: The style on screen was "Three" not "3" and I believe it was in the logo font, which would not be written. As well, it was a stylistic choice to use Three opposed to 3. If wrong on that point, then I believe it formed consensus to use that. Second point: per WP:COMMONNAME, Marvel and reliable third party sources all mention the film as "Iron Man 3". Thus the note after that in the lead. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 05:19, 24 October 2013 (UTC)

Origins completion

I finished the main story. I'd give the game a solid 8/10. Some parts of the story were really imprecise, and that had a huge impact on my review. Took me around 16 hours to complete the story, whereas City took me around 23. I was very disappointed when I found that there wasn't a Lady Shiva boss fight within the main story. Huge letdown. But hey, I had a great Arkham experience, so I won't complain. I was thinking about making a draft for the game's plot, but figured it would be best that I wait for you and Blake to finish first. Looking at some of the previous plots written by other users for Origins, I found very poorly written content (broken sentences, bad grammar, events written in non-chronological order, etc.). I know we can do better. Have fun with the main story! - Mainstreammark (talk) 21:14, 26 October 2013 (UTC)

Protection

Do you think you can get AoU re-protected?--TriiipleThreat (talk) 02:19, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

Well it was supposed to be protected until December, but when that edit war dispute happened, another admin made it full protection to override the previous semi. But regardless, it is proving my point that as soon as the protection comes down, the disruptive editing happens. I'll ask Mark and see what he says. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 02:35, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

Wow.... he re-protected the page in a matter of minutes. Shocked at how reasonable he is, will definitely go to him if I am ever faced with such a conflict. Just Wow. - Mainstreammark (talk) 02:56, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

Just so you know, the page protections have ended. I already had to revert one IP.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 03:07, 28 October 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know. I will keep an eye on them as you will too no doubt. If it gets consistent, I will approach Mark to have him look again and hopefully reevaluate. I feel that future films will have the most problem, but past ones may as well. Luckily, Thor TDW is protected so we can hopefully ride it as its been until its release. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:27, 28 October 2013 (UTC)

Marvel NOW!

Hey I was wonder if you could give me a hand. I currently working on reformatting the Marvel NOW! article in my sandbox. Currently the article is a bit redundant with the waves and title sections. So I am merging the info together into a single table for each wave along the lines of List of The New 52 publications. I can could greatly use the help. Thanks.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 13:18, 14 October 2013 (UTC)

I'm so sorry. I just noticed this request now! I would have been more than happy to help, as I was one of the ones to craft/update the New 52 one to be as it is now. :( I must have missed it as it was between Mainstreammark's many different posts and comments, and I was, and have been, in a big Arkham Origins mode, as it just came out. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:32, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
Don't worry, it's been taken care of.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 03:43, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
Yes I saw. Good work. Only suggestions, from the New 52 page if you wanted, was to organize the titles by publication start date, rather than all alpha order, and to include how many issues, in the form of (1-). As I have not read anything regarding Marvel NOW!, it appears that there have not been too many cancelations, which is a big thing for the New 52, so those suggestions might not apply. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:46, 28 October 2013 (UTC)

Something with my IP

Hey Favre. I'm in a class right now, luckily able to message you to ask for some guidance on an issue with my IP. When trying to edit in my room, I am unable, as a pop-up appears saying that IP has been blocked for one month. I don't understand what that means. I don't even use my IP to edit. Could you please give me some guidance here? It says my IP was disrupting Wikipedia with vandalism. I'm sure I've never made a vandalistic edit, my last edit was one to Arkham Origins' talk page. Am I being framed here? I'm getting some stress in my system. What can I do? - Mainstreammark (talk) 16:02, 29 October 2013 (UTC)

You might be caught up in an WP:Autoblock, there are instructions on how to request an unblock on that page. I believe Favre himself suffered from one before. Basically, an IP address that has been used for vandalism and therefore blocked by an administrator, is also being used by you, because you're on the same network or something. || Tako (bother me) || 18:02, 29 October 2013 (UTC)

Well, that was an interesting outcome. Wikipedia drama is the greatest, lol. More plot twists than a Grant Morrison comic... || Tako (bother me) || 05:18, 30 October 2013 (UTC)

Indeed. I had a very serious issue occur, but now it is hopefully taken care of. Wikipedia, or anywhere on the internet, is not the place for this kind of behavior. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 05:24, 30 October 2013 (UTC)

Hear me out

I don't like living lies Favre. It's Mark here. Before you get hesitant, just please hear me out. I know what transpired. For the past eight months, my email address (mahippal12@gmail.com) has been hacked numerously by a certain group from the United Kingdom. I've changed my password more times than the amount of edits I've made. An encrypted message sent to myself said, and I quote: "You won't see us coming. Be careful next time. You've got quite the life. sEe Ya BoY. - tHe ChAnGe". I didn't understand at first, but I got emails from family and friends saying things like: "What kind of s*** are you sending me?" and "I'd never expect this from you". When I found that the CheckUser concluded me being a vandalistic harasser, I was utterly heartbroken. Would you expect this kind of behaviour from me? It's stressful knowing that injustice is something that always lives with you. I haven't always had the best luck. I found that Wikipedia would be a good place to interact, help the society, and transform myself into a sophisticated person. *holding tears* It's your choice sir. You can report me because it would be "systematically correct", but if you see me as a good editor worth giving the chance, I'd like to start off on a clean slate. Thank you for everything. If this is my final farewell, I hope you have a great future. Goodbye Favre. - RandallSSkilledP89 (talk) 02:08, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

MCU's films synopsis sources

I did some searching; while it doesn't seem like Marvel did big press releases like they did for the newer films, they did individual press releases for each new character cast. I think the majority of them, per-film, share the same content, which can be used for a synopsis. I also checked the Iron Man article history back before it was released, the synopsis there was unsourced mostly, and parts that were sourced were very bad sources and didn't line up with the material.

Iron Man

http://marvel.com/news/story/666/robert_downey_jr_is_iron_man http://marvel.com/news/story/405/marvel_initiates_funding_for_its_first_self-produced_feature_film_iron_man_pursuant "The film tells the story of Tony Stark, a billionaire industrialist and genius inventor who is kidnapped and forced to build a devastating weapon. Instead, using his intelligence and ingenuity, Tony builds a high-tech suit of armor and escapes captivity. When he uncovers a nefarious plot with global implications, he dons his powerful armor and vows to protect the world as Iron Man."

Iron Man 2

http://marvel.com/movies/movie/130/iron_man_2 gives no real information, aside from casting... but, http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/paramount/ironman/: "Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster film based on the legendary Marvel Super Hero “Iron Man”, reuniting director Jon Favreau and Oscar nominee Robert Downey Jr. In “Iron Man 2”, the world is aware that billionaire inventor Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is the armored Super Hero Iron Man. Under pressure from the government, the press and the public to share his technology with the military, Tony is unwilling to divulge the secrets behind the Iron Man armor because he fears the information will slip into the wrong hands. With Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), and James “Rhodey” Rhodes (Don Cheadle) at his side, Tony forges new alliances and confronts powerful new forces."

Hulk

http://marvel.com/news/story/991/edward_norton_to_star_in_the_incredible_hulk "The story unfolds when the pursuit for The Hulk – the world's most misunderstood, primal force of fury – heats up, finding Bruce Banner on the run attempting to cure his condition before his pursuers capture him." You could also borrow something from the film's official synopsis on the Marvel website - http://marvel.com/movies/movie/23/the_incredible_hulk: ""The Incredible Hulk" kicks off an all-new, explosive and action-packed epic of one of the most popular super heroes of all time. In this new beginning, scientist Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) desperately hunts for a cure to the gamma radiation that poisoned his cells and unleashes the unbridled force of rage within him: The Hulk. Living in the shadows--cut off from a life he knew and the woman he loves, Betty Ross (Liv Tyler)--Banner struggles to avoid the obsessive pursuit of his nemesis, General Thunderbolt Ross (William Hurt) and the military machinery that seeks to capture him and brutally exploit his power. As all three grapple with the secrets that led to the Hulk's creation, they are confronted with a monstrous new adversary known as the Abomination (Tim Roth), whose destructive strength exceeds even the Hulk's own. One scientist must make an agonizing final choice: accept a peaceful life as Bruce Banner or find heroism in the creature he holds inside--The Incredible Hulk."

Thor

http://marvel.com/news/story/10857/thor_movie_new_release_date_may_6_2011 "The epic adventure THOR spans the Marvel Universe; from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth."

Hope that helps. || Tako (bother me) || 00:27, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

You're the best Tako! This helps TREMENDOUSLY! It's at least a starting point. I don't have the time now to add them, but I will look at each source and see what is the best to use. I think after we add the sourced preview synopsis, that we should take the liberties to reformulate them a bit, after knowing what actually occurs in the films. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 04:01, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

Annuals on 52 publication

Hi, I'm a bit confused on whole crystal ball thing that you mentioned while reverting my edit. If annual is officially solicited we still can't add it until it was released? If so how it is different to writing about series cancellation when final issue is going to ship next month or January? Or what about Justice League 300 or Harley's series? They aren't released yet and theoretically speaking their release date and even creative teams might shift. BlisterD (talk) 12:21, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

It is better to add those once they come out as release dates can get pushed or changed as they so often do. As for cancelled books, they can be mentioned with the month of cancellation and the source, and it is easy to change to "However, X's last issue was changed to X month". That happened with Justice League 3000, as it was initially scheduled to release in October, but now will release in December. So those changes were noted. For something as simple as adding "plus x Annual", it is best to not be in a rush and just add it as they come. I hope that just made sense. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:57, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

Forever Evil

Hey, I've noticed the work you're doing on the Forever Evil article. It's very cool! So wanted to drop you a thanks. How are you enjoying the series so far? Justin.Parallax (talk) 13:12, 7 November 2013 (UTC)

Thank you! I'm trying my best, but at the moment, I do realize that it is a lot of plot. I'm hoping to condense it after everything has been released, so we have a clear picture to how to format it, and what's important. I'm enjoying it. I think it has been a good crossover event. The main spin-off have not come into their own yet, so hopefully their next issues will help that. But I felt the Justice League and Suicide Squad titles fit in nicely, and the Blight storyline is looking to be an interesting one. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 13:42, 7 November 2013 (UTC)

Mainstreammark apparently was a sock. Posted weird stalker-type messages on Favre's talk page[4], got bant[5], his IP got caught in the block[6]. Iron Man's armor

No problem. You were right in your summary, as someone did change the English, but I believe that was reverted already. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 04:40, 12 November 2013 (UTC)

Thor: TDW

I wanted to apologize the edit summary of my revert came off unintentionally harsh.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 03:05, 14 November 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for the apology, but no worries. I just feel that we should be consistent with linking to other movie plots in summaries. Some pages we have it linked, others we don't. Hence my edit. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:42, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
You're right, we should. I think in this case it's okay since we're piping "his war crimes on Earth" which a reader would expect information about Loki's war crimes. The tesseract on the other hand is problematic since readers might not expect to be taken to an article about the cosmic cube.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 13:01, 14 November 2013 (UTC)

The Amazing Spider-Man 2

I didn't read that edit nearly well enough. I just noticed a redlink and some format errors, so I fixed them. Much obliged for the correction. Corvoe (speak to me) 17:00, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

You're welcome. There have been numerous edits like this in the past and these IPs don't get that, while that page exists, this film is not in the same franchise as the Toby McGuire Spider-Man films. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:42, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

Arrow updates

I think it would be good to merge the "Casting" and "Cast" sections, and probably move all the "recurring" and "special guests" to the "List of characters pages". Otherwise, we have 2 cast related sections, and one of them reads like a news feed which is not going to come across as "professional writing" when the page goes up for review. What do you think?  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 22:28, 19 November 2013 (UTC)

Yeah. I was trying to think about this, and at the moment, my edit was the best I came up with. I do think there can be separate sections, with each serving their purposes now: Cast to talk about the characters and show the main listings, and Casting to cover the actual "news". I am very open to reworking it, but I like to think what I did was at least a step in the right direction, even if in the final result it looks completely different. Let's keep a dialogue open to find a way to work it out, because I have a way I want it to end up, I just don't know how to execute it properly. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 23:25, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
The cast section isn't supposed to be about just plot information though, per WP:MOSTV#Cast information. If you leave it as "Casting" then you're limited to just casting information, and lose real world character information because it's no longer what that section is for.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 23:29, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, we can work on condensing it then and moving the parts like you said. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 23:36, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
We need to find a way to make it presentable, without looking mashed together, because that is a risk with having it all in one section.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 23:44, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
Agreed. I've tried looking at other series' pages, and they are all so different, that it's hard to get a good template to base something off of. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 04:49, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, I generally go to Smallville, but in this case it's not helpful. We moved all the real world stuff to the Characters page, because the primary page was so full of information. I think we need to get all the cast information that we can on the page and then we can re-organize it. I know that I want to get the special guest star stuff off eventually, because I feel like the page is turning into a fansite that just announces new castings just because they are DC characters, regardless of whether it's just a single episode or two.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 04:56, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
What I tried to start to do, was organize the recurring DC character (ie Deadshot, China White) into one paragraph, as those, I feel are relevant to keep on this page. But I was in same mindset as you, as in getting everything on the page, then cutting down and reorganizing. Just of note, I don't even see any mention of the Huntress actress, as see played a somewhat recurring role/love interest in the first season. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 05:00, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
I thought that she was on the page, but you were right. I could not find her anywhere. We'll have to find that information. I'm with you. I think we should follow the MOS and have a "Regular" subsection and a "Recurring" subsection. If and when the page gets too large (obviously after we move the episodes), we can move the recurring guests to the character page, but until then, we should make sure they are clearly identifiable on the page.
P.S. We're going to have to find sources for these awards. There are several without any.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 05:24, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
In that case, which I'm all for, we have to determine what is "recurring" in our eyes as crafting the show page. Is it two appearances, or more than that? And do we take notability/importance within the show into account? But as I know we want to stray as far from the in world perspective as much as possible, maybe we'll let the sources speak for us, especially if the casting announcements say it is a recurring role. And I have not gotten down past the episodes table on the page, so I was not aware of the awards not having sources, but yeah, those will need them. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 07:05, 20 November 2013 (UTC)

I don't think we want to define "recurring" ourselves. We got into this last season with Slade, as his original announcement said "multi-episode arc", while others were specifically labeled "recurring". To me, 2 or 3 episodes is not necessarily recurring if they are back-to-back-to-back. At the moment, I think we stick to reliable sources that identify "recurring", and then if there are characters that look like they are recurring but no source actually says it, then we can do a "case-by-case" discussion (if necessary).  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 14:05, 20 November 2013 (UTC)

Okay. I just want to make sure we have a plan for how to handle something, if say a user not in tune with the page comes around and argues that a certain character should be there. We should have a somewhat clear consistency, if possible to represent that section. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:06, 20 November 2013 (UTC)

Surnames for fictional characters who most often go by their first names

Two months ago, I edited the plots for Iron Man, its sequel, and The Avengers by the surnames for certain characters to first names. You always kept telling me that "surnames should be used", but these people are fictional and therefore mostly go by their surnames in the real world but occasionally in their universe. I know there are some exceptions, such as Nick Fury, Agent Coulson, and Dr. Selvig, but seriously, why go by a superhero's last name?

Marvel Cinematic Universe nomination

Hey considering Khazar's comments on the talk, perhaps you should withdraw the GA nomination for now.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 11:30, 3 November 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, I was not up fast enough to comment on his non-GA comments to say I would withdraw it until we have time to expand it. This is going to be interesting. I think the best way to go about this initially, would be to figure out the structure we want in the article (ie Headings) and then find the info for it. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 18:09, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
I agree. Obviously, the reception stuff should be added there. We can add an impact section following the reception, to detail the impact on other franchises. Expand the develop section to include more background info and include the plot synopsis from Marvel for each of the films. Hopefully that would be enough for now.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 18:23, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
I can work on getting the plot stuff worked out, and then help find reception refs. Should the little development blurbs for each released film stay? And would you think the plot synopsis would go before or after that if it stays? - Favre1fan93 (talk) 18:29, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
I think so, this is still a film franchise article too. Maybe we can lead each sub-section with the synopsis. You find usually a synopsis in one Marvel's press releases. Just change the wording to avoid WP:COPYVIO and reference it.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 18:36, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
Agreed. Also, I copied into my sandbox Khazar's suggestions, so we can add, refract, check, mark, etc. each that they suggested so we can monitor what has been done, and what still might need work. Feel free to edit that section as we go along. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 18:38, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
Thanks, I'll start work on it tomorrow when I have more time.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 21:02, 3 November 2013 (UTC)

Good job so far, just one thing I'm a little concerned about the "Cultural impact" section. We should only be talking other series as they relate to MCU. Otherwise, we may stray into going off-topic. So its okay as long as we can tie it back into the MCU.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 18:47, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

Just about to rework it. Realized after I added it, that I shouldn't have dumped it on the page to work on later. Will be getting to now. How do you like my layout change? Thinking of readding the "Phase X" headers before Iron Man, and Iron Man 3. Thoughts? - Favre1fan93 (talk) 18:48, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
Its okay, is there a way we can tie the development info from films back into the history? I kind of saw it as one-in-the-same as the films make up the franchise. But its not deal breaker for me. The headers would be okay if the table was separate from the prose but as it is, it doesn't seem necessary.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 18:58, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
The reason I broke it off, was I felt that the history of the creation of the MCU was separate than the films, and in my intent of adding the Disney info, it would not flow chronologically with the films there too. Because as it was, it was all stuff before the first Iron Man, then all the films. So if I added stuff from 2009 before stuff from 2006-08, that didn't seem right to me. And plus, I felt the table should be with the films, as it also helps with the flow, as you get history of the MCU, then all film info. Just my opinion. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 19:18, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
Very well then, as I said it wasn't a deal breaker.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 19:43, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

Arkham image

1. What's the difference between the Batman: Arkham series and the Batman Arkham Collection? Is it that one is just for the series in general, and the other is for the marketing of a specific package of it?

2. If the answer to the above is yes, then which came first? Where did the series logo first originate? Nightscream (talk) 00:21, 17 November 2013 (UTC)

The Batman: Arkham series, is the name of a video game franchise started in 2009 with the release of Batman: Arkham Asylum. Since, two main games have released, and three other tie-in games. The collection, is a bundle featuring the three main games: the first two as digital downloads, and the most recent, Arkham Origins on a disc. The current image was the best representation of the series at the time, and is the logo used on the Arkham City release. The image from the Joystiq article, melds the three main logo designs (from L to R, Asylum, City, Origins) into one design. I hope this clarifies your question. If the "melded" logo is used, a caption would accompany it stating it is from the Collection, and how it incorporates the three main titles' color schemes. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:17, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
I understand what Arkham is and what the collection is. But where did the Arkham logo originate? With the first game? Is it used to represent the entire series, and the other one just that one bundle? If so, then I would imagine that the Arkham series logo is the general representation of the series, and therefore the most appropriate image, whereas the Collection logo is just one particular product from it, which may become outdated if there is a fourth game. Then again, I am generally ignorant of the subject, since I don't play video games, and this may make my opinion less informed. Hope that helps. :) Nightscream (talk) 04:11, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
Sorry I misread your question. I maybe also presented my question incorrectly. I'll try that again, and in doing so, try answering your questions. The logo currently on the page is not technically the official logo for the series. All three main games have used a similarly shaped bat logo, with similar typeface, but with different color schemes. So the current logo on the page, is technically just the logo used on Arkham City, which itself is now outdated. It was acceptable when the page was created, as Origins had a logo of comparable dark tones (versus the more standoutish orange from Asylum). So the intent of my question was, use the logo from Arkham City, currently on the page, or make it this logo used from the Collection, as it is a better representation of the series as a whole, melding the three color schemes used, opposed to the one game covered with the current logo. I hope that helped and I didn't completely miss what you were trying to say, and got no where in trying to help you or me. :/ - Favre1fan93 (talk) 07:03, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
So the current logo was only used in one game where as the other logo is used for the collection? If that is the case, I'd use the collection logo.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 08:25, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
Thanks Triiiple. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:42, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
Sorry it took me so long to respond to this, but I agree. I think either is usable, but the "collection" is probably the best option, as its meant to represent the series a little moreso. Sergecross73 msg me 14:50, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
No worries Serge! Thanks for the response nonetheless. If anyone in this thread have seen or not, I got that consensus was the collection bat logo, so I went ahead and updated the image, and caption, as such. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:38, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

Didn't want to fill up your talk page with another section. I'm not sure what else can be done to Arkham origins now without further release of information, so I think it is time to submit it for copy editing and then GA. Can't do anything about missing voice actors or future DLC, but pending DLC wouldn't prohibit it from becoming a GA. Just needs some Multiplayer reviews. But am I forgetting anything? Darkwarriorblake (talk) 23:43, 26 November 2013 (UTC)

No problem. Mind giving me the weekend to look it over myself, to do some small edits, and any additions? Just finishing up school today and then heading home for the holiday weekend, so I should (hopefully) have free time to tackle some stuff. I'll reply here if I didn't get to it, or have a better time frame to give you. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 23:46, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
I've added it to the copy editor request list just because the list is backed up from October, so it's already going to take weeks to get it seen, won't be happening before this weekend. Darkwarriorblake (talk) 22:02, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
Great. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 22:22, 27 November 2013 (UTC)

TV episode summary word count limit?

Hi. For this edit, you summarized including "put summary word count over limit". Where is that limit defined? Thank you.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 05:11, 26 November 2013 (UTC)

It's defined at Template:Episode list. Summaries should be 100-200 words, but it may be acceptable to go to 300 (not entirely sure on the going to 300 part). Regardless, that edit went way over the limit, and most of those summaries are all over the limit anyways. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 05:18, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
Thank you.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 05:20, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
Looking now, I do think it is to 300, and as for that page, episodes 5 and 6 I believe are over that limit. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 05:24, 26 November 2013 (UTC)

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (again)

Thank you SO much for fixing up that plot section. Those two users were driving me absolutely insane with their incessant copy-pasting. Corvoe (speak to me) 18:39, 7 December 2013 (UTC)

No problem. I don't like that that page has kind of gone by the wayside and doesn't have consistent editors making sure added info is correct and within appropriate Wikipedia guidelines. I'm technically only editing on weekends for the foreseeable future, so I'll try to assist when I can. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 18:54, 7 December 2013 (UTC)

Iron Man & Iron Man 2

Hi, I did not know the box office totals were only at the time of the record... perhaps stating so would clear up any further confusion for people like me? Jonathansuh (talk) 22:39, 8 December 2013 (UTC)

Good idea. I was not aware either that it was not stated as such, but I do believe it is at the time of release. I can look them over to make sure and add it as needed. And if I was in error, my apologies. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 00:57, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
Just double checked, and yes those numbers were for at the time of release. I've added some words to hopefully clarify for future readers. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 01:07, 9 December 2013 (UTC)

List of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. characters

No sweat, I was just trying to simulate List of Game of Thrones characters while trying to keep the table sortable. Also I think we covered all the major points in the MCU review. Do you think we should try to renominate now?--TriiipleThreat (talk) 16:29, 17 December 2013 (UTC)

No worries. I understand the intent of the edits, but it took me a good 10 seconds to figure out what that intent was, and I usually follow other editor's thought process, especially yours. As for MCU, yeah it looks really good. Only thought would be to add more general critiques, or maybe a sampling from the films/one-shots/SHILED. And I don't think the only thing we didn't add (about the contracts/business model) is necessary. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:45, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
I agree, I think more general critiques would be good but am having a hard time finding them.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 16:56, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
I don't know where you've been looking, but maybe in more articles, interviews or previews, we might find some quotes or thoughts. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:59, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
Basically google searches: "Marvel Cinematic Universe" +review, etc.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 17:16, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
Yeah I think we may have more luck with say the introduction of a cast member interview, or a preview of a film, with the writer commenting on how it fits into the MCU. Something like that, because I agree that there are not many MCU only reviews. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:56, 17 December 2013 (UTC)

Arkham Origins video

Batman: Arkham cast list

Why do you keep reverting my edit in these pages? I clearly have put in an IMDB link as reference for the cast list, particularly for Arkham Origins and Arkham Origins Blackgate. The current list has a lot of mistakes, such as including Kimberly Brooks in Origins as Barbara Gordon, when she is not even credited in the game. Please take a closer look at the IMDB list, and then tell me what I did wrong. The boss 1904 (talk) 06:12, 24 December 2013 (UTC)

That's the issue: IMDb CANNOT be used as a reliable source to cite casting information. Until a reliable source is found to support those cast members (believe me, I've tried finding one), they can't be added. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:35, 24 December 2013 (UTC)
