Hey, I just thought you would like to know I agree with you about splitting the pages. Having them together right now just does not make sense, and the fact that they were merged before a consensus was even met violates rules of Wikipedia. You have my full support in this. FYI - Guardians of the Galaxy edit

First, Rocket Raccoon is not even close to being the "title character" of the film. No idea where you could have ever gotten that impression. Second, here is where it is listed that cast can be listed by billing block. On WP:CASTLIST, first point. Of course there are other ways to do it, but consensus for the MCU pages is to do it by billing block. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 22:19, 30 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading File:Infinity teaser cover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. X-Men: Battle of the Atom edit

Hi, and a belated WELCOME to Wikipedia! Thanks for creating the Battle of the Atom article. For someone who only edits occasionally here, you did a pretty good job of starting that article off. Unlike most other stub articles that I notice other editors create, yours is fairly comprehensive, organized, and even has a citation of a secondary source. However, may offer three suggestions?

  • Wikipedia should be read with not just the expert in mind, but the casual, uninitiated reader. Since the casual uninitiated reader may be unclear as to what an "event" is, it's a better idea if things like "Battle of the Atom" were referred to as what they are: Storylines. Calling it a "10-part comic book crossover event" is not clear to someone who's not into comics like you and I. "Stories" or "story arcs" are also good terms to use.
  • When adding a citation, make sure that you include the author's name. I know that authors aren't always given in source material, but the author of the Newsarama story is indeed given: Albert Ching, who writes many of the Newsarama stories we cite in comics articles.
  • Also, I'm not knocking Newsarama, but for some reason, I notice that Newsarama stories almost are always taken down at some point, because the links usually go dead after a some period of time, and without any apparent replacement url by the Newsarama people. So for this reason, I would try to use a publisher with more stable webpages, like Comic Book Resources.
  • Lastly, the Lead is a summary of the article's most salient points, so things like the plot information, which you included in the Lead, should not be there without a citation, unless it's also further down in the article body, with a citation.

I fixed these things in the Battle of the Atom article, so don't worry about that article. I just thought I'd let you know for future reference. If you ever need help or anything, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. :-)

A cake for Suzuku! (MGS split) edit

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain have finally been confirmed to be separate, after a year of painful debate (more like a massacre against the logical side). Certain users were banned, but our side finally won. This calls for celebration! Phailin (talk) 05:17, 5 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hey man! Just thought I'd drop by and say congrats, cause now nobody can debate the fact that the MGS titles are in face, two separate entities. Glad to see we were right, but then again, did we ever doubt it? Le Rusecue (talk) 16:24, 7 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Guardians of the Galaxy edit

Thanks for clearing up the Glen Close situation. One thing though, Gunn does say its "Nova Prima Rael" while this could just be a misspelling in the unedited rush of responding to Facebook comments, it could be exactly what he says. He is the director after all.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 20:08, 2 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

That works for me as well.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 02:31, 3 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

I'm going to add this here, as I don't want an edit war on this topic. As far as I've ever known, Facebook comments, even from a reliable source, are not usable because we cannot physically grab a link to that specific comment. And saying "Well just go to the post" doesn't really work, because the comments can be edited, or removed. @TriiipleThreat:, as you were a part of the discussion above, what are your thoughts? WP:FACEBOOK says nothing on the matter, which I feel it should, but I think that fact that, unlike a Twitter conversation, where you can direct link to each conversation piece, the same can't be said for Facebook, which makes using information from comments impossible in my opinion. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 21:37, 3 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

I really don't see the problem as long as the account is verified. The comments are a part of the post so we can just link to that. Yes, it might take extra effort to comb through the comments to get to the information but it can be done. Also this convo should really take place on the article's talk page for record keeping purposes and to solicit other opinions.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 21:43, 3 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
True, but Richiekim just added the Marvel synopsis and new cast ordering, so at the moment, deciding between "Commander" or "Nova Prime" is mute. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 21:55, 3 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
