Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Dr. Hamza, I want to make some comments about these posts here privately.

• Assume Good Faith is a cardinal principle of Wikipedia editing. You need to stop making comments about me or what I might believe in etc. If you continue to do so, you will face sanctions.
• As I told you earlier, you are welcome to believe in whatever you want to believe in. You cannot put it in Wikipedia. Reading and interpreting WP:PRIMARY sources is considered WP:Original research and it is prohibited on Wikipedia. It can be done to a limited extent, provided it is attributed, and you generate consensus for it among all the involved editors. You need to stop treating Wikipedia is a personal blog site. Everything added here is subject to consensus.
• If there is problematic content sourced to Chachnama, you are welcome to remove it or tag it. I don't have any affinity to that source.
• Based on the WP:SECONDARY source you have provided, I consider this material WP:UNDUE on this page. You can put it in Attiyah's page if you want. I don't particularly care what goes in that page even though I think that page is quite unreadable and in a poor shape at present.
• If you do add it here, you need to summarise the source faithfully, which means stating that Attiyah participated in the invasion of Sindh as an officer. You cannot pick and choose what you like or dislike.

We can not hide facts just to assume good faith. You can not remove something from wikipedia just because you like someone to be portrayed as a champion of human values. I did provide three primary and one secondary source. The dispute should have ended there. Instead you threatened me with a ban and also reported me which ended well. Attiyah was a rebel not officer in Umatyad army. And the Shia-Abbasid struggle ended the Umayyad rule shortly afterwards. Secondly, Attiyah is regarded a credible source of Hadith by bith the Sunni and the Shia scholars of Hadith, and Muhammad bin Qasim is not. Neither Sunnis nor Shias took any Hadith from him. Attiyah was a disciple of the companion of the Prophet Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari. He was among the main intellectuals and leading figures of the time. Therefore, it is necessary to include this section in the page to make it compatible with the real history. You should not be biased if you want to contribute to Wikipedia, for religious reasons or whatever. I have added more content. My concern are not your personal beliefs but your biased and apologetic comments. The first time your removed this section, you said he was just following orders. Then you came with other excuses. When I answered them all, you reported me. Therefore it is better to let other editors and moderators look into this matter.

• Dr Hamza Ebrahim, a couple of points you should note.
  1. Primary sources may be used but only for obvious facts. In general, ancient or medieval texts don't qualify. If there is something useful in a historical text then there must exist a modern secondary source that contextualizes it. So, please don't use historical sources at all and use on modern secondary sources.
  2. Accusing other editors of bias is a serious thing on Wikipedia. You must back it up with evidence (and, disagreeing with you does not constitute evidence of bias). Please ensure that the content you add is verifiable, by adding full citations and links where possible. If the sources is not available online, it would be appropriate to provide a quotation that verifies the content.

Please do not remove POV tags unilaterally as you have done here. There is a link within the template, which explains the conditions under which it can be removed.

On the whole, I feel that you are not making any effort to read and follow the Wikipedia policies given to you in my welcome message above. As a result, you are wasting a lot of your and my time. Under the ARBIPA sanctions regime, you are responsible for understanding all the applicable policies before editing. I fulfilled all your demands. You wanted recent scholarly sources, I provided. You wanted to include chachnama claim, although three other more credible sources did not agree with it. I included this too. I named the other sources that did not agree with chachnama and I provided modern scholarly articles to support them. Still you tag this section as non-neutral and pass threats if I remove the tag.

Anyway, thanks for all the dispute because it made the section much more credible.

It is the cursing of Ali and the revolt of al-Ash'ath that are the main points. I have explained it over and over again but you always wanted to remove them by discussing Atiyah and WP:Wikilawyering. Atiyah is mentioned because he was part of these events. If you are concerned about making it shorter, then instead of removing the few words mentioning the cursing of Ali, you should remove this part:-

"What happened to Attiya after this treatment is not clear. According to Al-Tabari and Ibn Hajar, he fled to Khurasan,^{[6] [7]} but the Chach Nama states that he joined bin Qasim's invasion force as an officer.^[5] However, modern historians dispute the credibility of such reports in the Chach Nama ^[8]".

I have explained that the moderator (with a korean name) appeared to have no idea of Early Muslim History or perhaps was not impartial. It is so clear that both the revolt and the cursing of Ali need a mention. Wikipedia can not omit historically important details.

Also note that the rules need to be followed by both of us. You were also informed about the sanctions that might apply.WP:Tendentious editing is when you erase the mention of the cursing of Ali, the fourth Rashidun Caliph of Muslims. Also when you report Chach Nama's claim about Atiyah's presence in Sind but remove the modern scholarly criticism by Friedmann on such claims. Events must be reported faithfully. Thank you for correction. Is it ok to repeat things in two articles? Pakistan, Bangladesh and India are known as Indian subcontinent and they are strongly connected by History, and after partition in 1947, people migrated at mass scale carrying historical and cultural heritage to new geographic regions. I thought it would be better to discuss their past collectively and then discuss the post 1947 stuff in separate sections.

Dear Diannaa 🍁 Thank you for your message. A great part of the content in history section was added by me when there used to be separate pages for Shia Islam in India and Shia Islam in Pakistan. I copied content before merging the page into "Shia Islam in the indian subcontinent" page, as it was a requirement for the merger. But Liz decided to undo the merger.

Original research of unclear relevance

In this edit you added to Shia Islam in the Indian subcontinent the sentence "In the report, he [Hakim ibn Jabalah al-Abdi] described the region of today's Balouchistan as a difficult terrain with lawlessness and hard groundwater". For this, you cite Wolpert. Wolpert says "The Arab commander of the first Islamic force to reach India reported from Sind to his caliph in 644 that 'water is scarce ... and the robbers are bold'". Wolpert doesn't identify the commander as Hakim ibn Jabalah al-Abdi, and doesn't mention Balouchistan. The year 644 doesn't jibe with the year 649 given in the text leading into your addition, and scarce water is not "hard groundwater". If you're combining sources to say something that neither one says directly, that's original research, and is not allowed on Wikipedia.

Moreover, your addition doesn't make clear how his description of the land is relevant to the topic Shia Islam in the Indian subcontinent. Finally, you added the sentence between a description of how Hakim ibn Jabalah al-Abdi died and his poetry [something also added by you, on 11 January 2021]. What on earth is the relevance of his hagiographic verse to the history of Shia Islam in the Indian subcontinet? It appears wildly off topic. --Worldbruce (talk) 16:21, 24 June 2022 (UTC)

Hakim came to modern day balouchistan in 644, during the period of 3rd Caliph. He died in 649 during the period of 4th Caliph. This was the period when Shia-Sunni split took shape, so it is important to add these details. His poetry testifies his being a Shia. Wolpert cited the same source that is cited by Maclean. Paragraph is written in light of many citations , making a whole picture in context.

I don't doubt the basic facts - the who, where, when - as you've outlined them, but hope you understand that Wolpert doesn't support the details you believe are important, or the interpretations - that Hakim's report and poetry is important because it dates from the period of the Shia-Sunni split, and that his poetry testifies to him being a Shia. I am unconvinced by your statement that it is important to add these details, but will not further streamline the section until I've read Maclean, which may not be until November.
