Adminship edit

Hi Crystallina. Almost a year has passed since your failed RfA. I'm surprised that there aren't more people bugging you about running again but it seems ridiculous for you not to. You could obviously use the tools and I'd be happy to write up a nomination (and if need be, chop off the head of anybody who says "Oppose, just a gnome"). Cheers, Pascal.Tesson 17:10, 31 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the support. I might consider it; not sure yet. Crystallina 03:12, 5 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Say, RfA is currently on pace to beat in November the record number of admin-promotions in a given month. Not that I want to harass you or anything, but I stand by my nomination offer if you want to be part of the fun. I really can't see any reason for you not to have these tools. Cheers, Pascal.Tesson 22:34, 8 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Saxaphone edit

Not sure if the difference in spelling is a US / UK thing, coming from the UK I have always spelt it with the 'a' rather than the 'o'. I have just checked the sleeve notes and on the CD it is spelt withan 'a'. Not much help I know, maybe someone else can come up with something. Take care - Phil aka Geotek 12:40, 4 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

If it's a UK spelling, it's not one I've heard of or that any of the dictionaries I checked have; at any rate, if it was an alternate spelling probably more articles would have used it. Crystallina 16:05, 4 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Oh, whoops, I must've not paid enough attention to what I was reverted when I did it. A few of the other things that had been done I wanted reverted (like whatever made the Reference list get cut off), but I couldn't figure out what exactly was causing that problem, so... yeah. It was an accident on my part. Disaster KirbyTalk 01:22, 22 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wikimania in Atlanta! edit

Hi! I noticed your involvement on U.S. South-related articles, categories and WikiProjects, and I wanted to let you know about a bid we're formulating to get next year's Wikimania held in Atlanta! If you would like to help, be sure to sign your name to the "In Atlanta" section of the Southeast team portion of the bid if you're in town, or to the "Outside Atlanta" section if you still want to help but don't live in the city or the suburbs. If you would like to contribute more, please write on my talk page, the talk page of the bid, or join us at the #wikimania-atlanta IRC chat on freenode.org. Have a great day!

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Filemanager31.png) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Filemanager31.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:42, 4 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Redirect of David Aaron (Musician/Producer) edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on David Aaron (Musician/Producer), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because David Aaron (Musician/Producer) is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting David Aaron (Musician/Producer), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Annie in Wonderland edit

Thanks for your note. A debatable point, and as you say WP:ALBUM and WP:MOS are silent in this regard. Normally I am a stickler for correct spelling, grammar and punctuation, but when something is rendered incorrectly, either deliberately or inadvertently, I don't think it's up to WP to correct it, at long as it is made clear that we are citing verbatim. For example, we talk about the sitcom "It Ain't Half Hot Mum" and not "It Isn't Half Hot, Mother". This avoids the accusation of original research when the correction may be ambiguous (although not in this case, I grant you). Another reason is that I didn't want the article to lie about its subject. Hope that helps. --Rodhullandemu (please reply here - contribs) 21:32, 11 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Red Horizon edit

An editor has nominated Red Horizon, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Red Horizon and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 21:00, 31 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Rollback edit

Hello Crystallina, I've granted rollback rights to your account. The reason for this is that, after a review of some of your contributions, I believe I can trust you with rollback: you know the difference between a good-faith edit and vandalism, and I believe you won't abuse rollback by using to to edit war or to revert good-faith edits. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. If you do not want rollback, let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck. Acalamari 04:28, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Greetings Crstallina. You appear on top of your editing game and I was praying you might look at something (Please): The Sound of Music & The Sound of Music (film) share the same Cultural references (ie In popular culture). It more than appears the references refer to the film rather than the show. I am led to believe the section for the musical should be deleted. What do you think? Please also see the Talk:The Sound of Music. Thank you for your kindness and time. Please tell me if I am wrong. Master Redyva

Proposed deletion of Brian Giovannini edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Brian Giovannini, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Notability not verified. All Google hits for ""Brian Giovannini" "postage due"" appear to be mirrors of the Wikipedia article, or self-published sources such as wikis. The impressive number of mirrors is due to the article's creation date: 2003...

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Fair use rationale for File:Gofigurewep.png edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Gofigurewep.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Maxwellsmaniac.png edit

Thank you for uploading File:Maxwellsmaniac.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Stefan2 (talk) 18:01, 2 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
