Notability guidelines edit

Hi! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. You may have noticed that I have nominated some of the articles you created for deletion because I think they do not clear the notability guidelines. I hope you don't take it personally. I am actually quite glad you have been working hard creating articles on Japanese entertainers, some of which are very necessary. However, I do suggest that if you plan to create any new articles, you should closely read the guidelines regarding the standards covering subjects worthy of an article on Wikipedia. The main one is WP:N, but since you have tended to create articles on performers, you should read WP:NACTOR as well. Note that just because an article exists on other wikis, particularly the Japanese Wikipedia, does not mean the subject is notable enough to have an article on the English Wikipedia. Please keep up the hard work, but you might want to save yourself some wasted labor by only creating articles on people who clearly pass the notability requirements. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:31, 20 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Tetsuya Iwanaga (model) edit

The article Tetsuya Iwanaga (model) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Insufficient evidence of notability, appears to be a promotional piece

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Reviewed articles edit

Hi,

I've just reviewed six of your articles, leaving 49 in the queue.

The issues from your March creations still persist: most, if not all, of the creations are biographies of living people which means you should source every statement. Secondly, most of the six articles I have reviewed have been mainly filmography tables with little prose. Thirdly, BLP content shouldn't be in bullet points and you need to watch out for promotional tone, both of which relate to Mariko Tsutsui. Finally, lots of the BLPs have their content displayed in bullet point lists. Please convert these to prose.

Once these issues have been rectified, please let me know and I will review the remaining articles.

Sandra Jozipovic moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Sandra Jozipovic, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Proposed deletion of Mitsuo Sagawa edit

The article Mitsuo Sagawa has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

Speedy deletion nomination of Imalu edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Imalu, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. I am just following the guidelines from the non-English Wikipedias; and that the Japanese Wikipedia uses blog posts from their article subjects.CrisBalboa (talk) 15:36, 19 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
Hi Cris, please don't do that, please follow the guidelines of English Wikipedia on this project. I'm also unclear how your comment relates to the above, which is that the articles need clear inline citations. At the moment they just have 'External links' which means 'suggestions for further reading' and does not mean sources used in the creation of the article. Can you please fix this? Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 21:48, 29 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
I might try.CrisBalboa (talk) 22:37, 29 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
No, Cris, 'I might try' to follow the guidelines is not good enough. Biographies of living people need clear sources. Boleyn (talk) 14:18, 30 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hello! I reviewed your article on Naoki Nokubo. When you copy text within Wikipedia, or when you translate from another language's Wikipedia, you're required to attribute the content to its source. July 2018 edit

Hello, I'm Toddst1. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Naoki Tanaka (comedian), but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. With identity theft a serious ongoing concern, people increasingly regard their full names and dates of birth as private. Wikipedia includes full names and dates of birth that have been widely published by reliable sources, or by sources linked to the subject such that it may reasonably be inferred that the subject does not object. If they are included, dates of birth should be directly cited. Toddst1 (talk) 01:22, 6 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
