Hi there. Yeah, the template will be settled soon. It is currently being updated for a proposed merger of UK schools templates (details here). Very sorry for the inconvenience... but should be finished by the end of the week. (chgallen 21:01, 4 June 2007 (UTC))Reply

Frauenfußball-Template edit

Hey there, I think it is a) unnecessary and b) ugly to have this | at the end of the respective lines of the various football league templates. Please reconsider your edit. Thanks. --Madcynic 19:02, 30 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Well, I've been trying to get them to look the same, but there are quite a lot of them. I know about the font-size issue, but so far I am not aware of any way to fix that. I don't know what boday might issue a specification, so far I've just decided to remove these | at the end of line. I personally prefer this over bulltepoints or dots as in my mind it is a clearer division.
From what I can tell Dudesleeper agrees, at least he did on the Regionalliga Nord template. If you have any ideas, you're of course welcome to share them. --Madcynic 13:52, 1 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Colin Thatcher edit

I notice your addition of People from Toronto to this article. Could you explain? --KenWalker | Talk 21:49, 16 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

In the category People from Toronto, it says 'Natives of the areas incorporated within the City of Toronto are listed on this page'. The article Colin Thatcher states in the introductory sentence 'Wilbert Colin Thatcher (born 25 August 1938 in Toronto)'. As far as I have been able to make out, birth is normally a sufficient criterion for inclusion of a biographical article in a 'People from ...' category. If my edit is incorrect, please let me know why, so that I can avoid such errors in the future.Coyets (talk) 06:47, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
You are absolutely right, I should have had a closer look at the article. Since his father was born and died in Saskatchewan and CT continued the family political and ranching operations there and I think he is there to this day, I took it for granted that CT was born in Saskatchewan. Not so. Thanks for the response! --KenWalker | Talk 19:49, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

German Fact Tag edit

Sometime ago you corrected a link to a German Wikipedia article for Gretchen Klotz on the english page for Wheaton College (Illinois). I am trying to update the alumni section of the Wheaton College article and provide some references. The only reference to Gretchen Klotz attending Wheaton College that I can find is on her German wikipedia page and there is no reference on that page. Not speaking German, I may be missing something when I google her, however. Does the German wikipedia use something similar to the fact tag that could be added to the German article? If so, would you mind doing that so I can try and hunt down a source? Thanks!

Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice edit

Hi,

As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.

We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.

You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.

We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!

Goomburra railway line, Queensland edit

Hi, thanks for pointing out my typo on the Goomburra railway line, Queensland article. I corrected the date from 1987 to 1897, the correct opening date can be found in one of the references. I've also added the cat for railway lines opened in 1897 as you requested and will get around to doing it for other Queensland railway lines one day. Also, would the year of opening be when the first section of line opened, or when the entire length of the line was completed? Cheers, --TripleThree (talk) 06:03, 25 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Vendula Frentova edit

A tag has been placed on Vendula Frentova by an automated utility, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it seems to be a blank article providing no content to the reader. It also seems that you blanked the article as well, possibly as an attempt to delete the page. Usually, speedy deletion tags should only be removed by administrators. However, since you are the only contributor to the page, and since the page was tagged under the assumption that you wanted it deleted, you may remove it yourself if you plan to expand or recreate the article. This is a notice from User:MichaelkourlasBot, an automated utility (bot). If you think it is a false positive, report it here. Thanks, MichaelkourlasBot (talk) 21:07, 17 January 2010 (UTC).Reply

Unreferenced BLPs edit

Hello Coyets! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 944 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

RTV Studio B edit

On 28 May 2008 you deleted RTV Studio B because the article did not indicate the significance and importance of the subject. I have collected a number of sources which seem to me to indicate that this radio and television broadcaster does have sufficient significance and importance to justify it having an article in Wikipedia. I was therefore intending to write such an article, but, after reading "If you are recreating a page similar to the previously deleted page, or are unsure, please first contact the deleting administrator using the information provided below.", I was unsure. So, I thought it best to contact you before proceeding, and I would be grateful for a response to guide me in deciding whether to write such an article or not. Coyets (talk) 11:32, 1 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

RTV Studio B has been undeleted, you may find additional information in the history. I've added an automatic deletion tag to the article, and it will be deleted again in 7 days if content is not improved. Geography corrections edit

Appreciate the accuracy, but you should bear sentence structure in mind if you're replacing "Hampshire" with "Hampshire now Dorset" across biography articles - a sentence like "(born 18 May 1940 in Bournemouth, Hampshire now Dorset)" is a little confusing to read, and may be better as just "(born 18 May 1940 in Bournemouth, England)". Thanks. --McGeddon (talk) 11:50, 30 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Capitalisation edit

Dear Coyets,

Thank you for your interest in the Eurovision Song Contest article. I see you changed some capitalisations from "Contest" to "contest". In fact the original capitalisation was not done in error: these sentences refer to "the Contest" - as a shorter form of "the Eurovision Song Contest". And since the ESC is a proper name, the word contest must remain capitalised.

You are now a Reviewer edit

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 04:33, 17 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

AFD edit

An article you have edited, Jonathan Stephen is under AFD.I.Casaubon (talk) 00:41, 12 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

I know that I wrote to you about this AFD before. You noted, correctly, that "The subject is difficult to google because the surname is often used as a given name. However, I tried and did not find any third party references to the subject." I googled with keywords like Wales, evangelical and Christian and found some, including 2 recent interviews on BBC-Wales. My particular interest in this page is that i appear to have inadvertantly caused the AFD to happen to this innocent man's page, by disagreeing with an editor on another AFD, who apparently looked at my recent edits and followed me to [Jonathan Stephen]]. Most editors who have looked at this AFD are either regular editors of Christianity-related pages and regular voters to keep such pages on AFDs, or regular voters to delete such pages on AFDs. As you appear to be neither, I thought that you might have a useful opinion to offer.I.Casaubon (talk) 22:57, 24 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Anne Schäfer edit

The article Anne Schäfer has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

From my searching, this player has reached no notability requirements. No $35.000 ITF titles in singles or doubles, no main draw appearances in any WTA tournament, no Fed Cup. This is a run of the mill player that wins a round or two of the lowest events possible and picks up a 3 diget check.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomination of Anne Schäfer for deletion edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Anne Schäfer is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Anne Schäfer until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Fyunck(click) (talk) 19:34, 7 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for October 17 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of universities in Somalia, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page University of Health Sciences (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:00, 17 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Consulting firms established in 1987 edit

A tag has been placed on Category:Consulting firms established in 1987 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Proposed deletion of Apeejay Education Society edit

The article Apeejay Education Society has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No independent or verifiable sources used. Article fails basic GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
