LHC edit

Hi I reverted the edits you made similar to the previous editor who tried to add similar information, as they were factually incorrect and did not have sources for some of the edit. Also there is no requirement for a placeholder on the results at this time as there will be no results until first collisions in the next few months or so. Please discuss these changes on the article talk page so all the editors can come to an agreement on these changes. Any problems don't hesitate to give me a shout. Proposed deletion of Leelavathi (actress) edit

The article Leelavathi (actress) has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one.   Please stop adding youtube links to Leelavathi (actress). For guidelines on citing sources, go through WP:V and WP:RS and for external links go through WP:EL. Thank you.  Abhishek  Talk 09:13, 22 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:LEELATROPY.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:LEELATROPY.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.  Abhishek  Talk 09:17, 22 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:LEELATROPY.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:LEELATROPY.jpg, which you've sourced to http://www.drmleelavathi.com/awards.html. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:30, 22 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

I have fixed your OTRS template for you - you missed a "}". Note that copyright is automatic for ALL web sites - the days of having to claim copyright with a copyright message are long gone - plenty of sites still do it, but it's not required.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 20:50, 24 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Moving the article 'Paramathma' edit

Please refrain from making such drastic edits like moving entire articles unnecessarily like it was done here. The reason provided is: "Paramathma means God". All movie names mean something, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't take up a namespace.
Also, note that edits like these are considered vandalism. See: WP:VANDTYPES. Careful. - Niri M / ನಿರಿ 10:52, 26 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use File:VishnuvardhanXA100.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:VishnuvardhanXA100.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please remove the tag.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 23:44, 26 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Loknath Pushpak.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Loknath Pushpak.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Non-free rationale for File:Leelamma.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Leelamma.JPG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Re: Leelavathi edit

She had not won any National Film Award for acting. See National Film Award for Best Actress for more information. Her website says that she won a National award, which is true. She might have received the award before 1968, i.e., Before the formation of Directorate of Film Festivals. The award that she won was a Rashtrapati Award (Presiden't award). Hope it's clear. --Commander (Ping Me) 12:44, 27 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Dude, I asked you to check with the link for National Film Award for Best Actress. Do you have any official sources for your claim. I'm very sure that she did not win any National Award for acting. Its just a president's award (Rashtrapathi) award. Besides, you should stop uploading copyrighted images. --Commander (Ping Me) 18:00, 27 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Copyright edit

You appear to be struggling with the grasp of the copyright policies - sadly no one appears to have given you a welcome template with appropriate links to policies - I will add one. Sadly, you are not the first person from your part of the world (I am assuming India) to struggle with the copyright laws (and won't be the last...). The Indian perspective of copyright is very different from the European/USA views and laws. Wikipedia servers are located in Florida, USA, so the copyright policies we have to follow have to be based on the laws in that country. A simple idea to remember is that if text or image is seen on another web site, tv, movie, book, poster, etc, then a direct copy is normally unlikely to be able to used on this site.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:58, 29 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (File:KashinathAnubhava.png) edit

Thanks for uploading File:KashinathAnubhava.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:26, 5 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
