Welcome! edit

Hello, Confluencenter, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or any other editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

The one firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! You can also just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! SarahStierch (talk) 07:28, 28 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Your submission at Articles for creation edit

Thank you for your recent submission to Articles for Creation. Your article submission has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. Please view your submission to see the comments left by the reviewer. You are welcome to edit the submission to address the issues raised, and resubmit once you feel they have been resolved.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. If you prefer to be unblocked for the purpose of changing your username rather than creating a new account, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice instead. Thank you. How does X work? edit

My username has been blocked but I am unable to change it. I cannot type into the name change form (I tried Firefox and IE9) and I cannot paste into the bottom of the field with all the other name change requests. Confluencenter (talk) 16:32, 28 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Use this form to create an new account. If this is the form you are refering to you need to chose one username and put it in the Username field, then type in your password and email address.
If you wish, you can create a section here with {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, and replace "new username" with the new username you would like, and then replace "Your reason here" with the reason you would like to change your username (for example that you would like to keep the contributions of your current account under your new username (Special:Contribs/Confluencenter). You need to ensure that the username you request complies with the WP:Username policy. Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 19:17, 28 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Requested username:

Request reason:

I would like to keep the contributions of my current account under my new username Confluencenter (talk) 19:01, 28 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Accept reason:

Please go to WP:CHU/Simple before you attempt to do anything else, and request a change of username there. Also, please read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest because you clearly have a conflict of interest. It would be most helpful, when your new username is active, that you disclose your conflict of interest on your user page. ~Amatulić (talk) 21:47, 28 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

I am completely lost edit

I don't know what I need to do to get unblocked and get the article on the site. I received an earlier message from an editor notifying me that the username I had selected caused me to be blocked because it is the same as the organization the article is about. The article was not written by me or anyone affiliated with the organization; it was written by a third party who simply provided me the text. I'm not sure why it would be considered a conflict of interest. I'm happy to change the username from Confluencenter so that it doesn't directly represent an organization, but every time I try I keep getting another notice that I have to do something else to be able to change it. If there is a way to receive help in real time, that may be what I need to complete the necessary procedures to get the article on the site. Thank you.

See the banner I put above. Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 20:40, 28 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Blocked again edit

After unblocking you before, I have re-blocked this account because your username violates Wikipedia:Username policy again. Please choose a username that represents only you as an individual, and not an organization. ~Amatulić (talk) 22:41, 7 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, Confluencenter, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. ~Amatulić (talk) 22:41, 7 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Your article submission Confluence Center edit

Hello Confluencenter. It has now been over six months since you last edited your article submission, entitled Confluence Center.

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note, however, that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Confluence Center}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. —Anne Delong (talk) 12:45, 11 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
