January 2023 edit

Thank you for your work on Tunnel Vision (Stickman album). Not all topics are notable (suitable for a stand-alone Wikipedia article). The Tunnel Vision (Stickman album) article does not cite sources establishing notability, so it may get deleted. A source shows that the article topic is notable when it:

If you can find notability-establishing sources, please add them: more than one is needed unless the applicable subject-specific notability guideline states otherwise. Specific questions can be answered live at the Teahouse help forum. Thank you. Taking Out The Trash (talk) 01:08, 19 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Nathan Stickman. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. You've been warned once before here. This is your final warning; you will be reported if you continue to disrupt the AfD process. It is not an "attack" as you put it in your AfD comment; this is a perfectly normal Wikipedia process. Tunnel Vision (Stickman album) edit

Hi. I noticed that over the last few days you've removed the redirect at Tunnel Vision (Stickman album) in favor of an underdeveloped article. I've added some tags to the article indicating areas of improvement. However, are you sure the album meets the criteria outlined at WP:NALBUM? If I just go by the text and sources in the article now, it doesn't look like it does. The preferred solution for articles about albums that don't meet that criteria is to redirect them to the band or artist that recorded them. If it does meet the WP:NALBUM criteria, please add the information and sources necessary to demonstrate that to the article. If it doesn't meet the criteria, then please restore the redirect. If you have questions or need help, let me know. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 15:02, 19 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

This page has been up for 13 years with no problems. It has direct references to All Music and the artist's website album page. Deleting this article directly impedes with the album discography. Colfax1 (talk) 15:22, 19 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'm not sure what you mean by, "Deleting this article directly impedes with the album discography". However, the article as currently written does not show that the album meets the criteria to have an article, which is listed at WP:NALBUM. Specifically, the article needs to demonstrate that the album "has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable, not self-published, and are independent from the musician or ensemble who created it." It also would help if the article mentioned (with sources) that the album had charted or been nominated for a major music award like the Grammys. If the album does not meet the notability criteria, or if sources showing it meets the criteria cannot be added to the article, then the redirect is the appropriate solution. This is different than deleting the article, which I don't think is likely to happen as long as there is a suitable redirect target. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 17:20, 19 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Stickman (singer-songwriter known as Nathan Stickman) edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Stickman (singer-songwriter known as Nathan Stickman) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. 2A01:4C8:A4:D8F:11D:5B9F:7E36:1DA4 (talk) 22:46, 31 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Stickman edit

Hello, Colfax1,

I see you have tried to recreate an article on this artist that was deleted through AFD. As long as the article is in the main space of the project, it will be tagged for speedy deletion, CSD G4. The only way I know to overcome an AFD decision to "Delete" is to create a draft article in Draft space and submit it to Articles for Creation for review and, hopefully, approval. The draft will have to overcome the problems that caused the original article to be deleted so it is quite a hurdle but not impossible. I wish you good luck with your writing efforts.

If you have questions about article creation or Wikipedia's deletion process, it's always a good idea to bring them to the Teahouse where you can receive advice, support and a second opinion. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 23:47, 31 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Nathan Stickman edit

Hello, Colfax1,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Actualcpscm and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Nathan Stickman, for deletion, because a consensus decision previously decided that it wasn't suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. If you wish to restore a page deleted via a deletion discussion, please use the deletion review process instead, rather than reposting the content of the page.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Actualcpscm}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Hello, Colfax1,
Please stop recreating this article. It will inevitably be tagged for speedy deletion CSD G4. The only way to overcome an AFD "Delete" decision is to write a strong draft version and submit it to WP:AFC for review. If it is approved it can be moved into main space.
If you have any questions, please bring it to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 06:01, 15 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Block edit

You have been blocked temporarily from editing because of your persistent re-creations of a page which you know full well has been deleted as the outcome of consensus at a deletion discussion. Wikipedia works by collaboration, not by individual editors ignoring what everybody else thinks and doing what they like. All of us sometimes have to accept a consensus that we personally believe is wrong. I have set the block to last for two months, which is fairly long for a first block, but in deciding on the length of the block I took into consideration the fact that you have sometimes re-created the article under different titles, which looks very much like attempting to hide what you are doing in order to avoid deletion. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  JBW (talk) 10:19, 29 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
