May 2008 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

Thank you. Deadly∀ssassin 11:30, 7 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Paparizou edit

Hey. Actually, Paparizou contributed musically on 2 tracks if you look at the credits. But regardless, the line was taken from an article about the album, so no harm done in taking it out. :p Greekboy (talk) 06:27, 11 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

No no no. You are thinking of penned lyrics. The statement was "penned several tracks". Meaning she penned (wrote, or help write at least) some songs MUSICALLY. Its a matter of preference in English I guess...so no worries. :p Greekboy (talk) 21:42, 11 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:Sibel - That Is Where I'll Go.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Sibel - That Is Where I'll Go.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 06:51, 25 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Username discussion in progress edit

Hello, Chimpdick, and thank you for contributing to Wikipedia! Wikipedia has a policy on what usernames editors can use. Unfortunately, concerns have been raised that your username may be incompatible with that policy. You can contribute to the discussion about it here. Alternatively, if you agree that your username may be problematic and are willing to change it, it is possible for you to keep your present contributions history under a new name. Simply request a new name here following the guidelines on that page, rather than creating a whole new account. Thank you. That pesky wolf from Kings Quest I (talk) 11:57, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Username allowed edit

Hello, Chimpdick. While there had been some discussion here about whether your username met Wikipedia policy on what usernames editors can use, the result was to allow it, and that discussion has now been closed. If you would like to see what concerns were raised, you can find a link to the discussion in the archive. You do not need to change your username. Thank you.
