Re: Notability edit

Hello – thanks for the message. The notability standards for people require independent, verifiable, reliable sources about the person in question. Self-published information, like the person's own website, do not count unless the information can be verified independently. If the only source about you is yourself, readers can't verify it. IMDB is not considered a reliable source because it can be edited by other people, it frequently contradicts itself, and it is often used as a resume instead of a collection of verifiable facts.

Furthermore, we discourage autobiographies due to the implicit conflict of interest between author and subject. If your achievements are indeed verifiable and genuinely notable, someone else will create an article about you sooner or later. Wikipedia is not a directory or a place to post a resume.

Frankly, an article about you will not survive a deletion discussion. You're not notable, at least not yet. If you become notable, an article can always be created some time down the road, when someone has noticed you and wants to write it. Thanks again for the message. - KrakatoaKatie 20:57, 25 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image source problem with Image:Amalgamates1984.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Amalgamates1984.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 14:57, 21 November 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Soundvisions1 (talk) 14:57, 21 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
