If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Parillada. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Barbecue. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Barbecue – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Darío Alafita Pérez (talk) 22:23, 5 February 2013 (UTC)
- It's not entirely clear to me that Argentinian style barbecue is the same thing as barbecue, an article that's a real mess. For example there is rarely a barbecue chef in the way there is a Parillada. Even so, what I had there should be restored in case it is determined that it warrants separate coverage. I at least redirected the page. Your approach lacked courtesy and competence. I hope you'll do better going forward. Candleabracadabra (talk) 21:36, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Charter School Associates
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Charter School Associates requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. - ALso a NYT times article on the company http://tmagazine.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/02/13/the-real-artists-of-marfa-cobra-rock-boot-company/ Why was this speedied despite being fairly well sourced? Speedy deletion nomination of Taco Bus
editYou may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
A tag has been placed on Taco Bus, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an acceptable page. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this page is not blatant advertising, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You are welcome to edit the page to fix this problem, but please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. As well as removing promotional phrasing, it helps to add factual encyclopaedic information to the page, and add citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the page will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 11:01, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Andrew McAnsh
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Andrew McAnsh requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Thomas Buckingham Smith, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WM4P2Q.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Hello, Candleabracadabra, and thank you for your contributions!
An article you worked on L. Murray Dixon, appears to be directly copied from http://luxurydestinationsonline.com/p-templehouse.html. Please take a minute to make sure that the text is freely licensed and properly attributed as a reference, otherwise the article may be deleted.
It's entirely possible that this bot made a mistake, so please feel free to remove this notice and the tag it placed on L. Murray Dixon if necessary. MadmanBot (talk) 18:48, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
- I removed the text that was of concern. It was adapted from the Wikipedia article The Temple House. Candleabracadabra (talk) 19:11, 7 May 2013 (UTC)

editPlease do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Creole cream cheese. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. --Ronz (talk) 20:30, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
- With regard to the article Creole cream cheese and the subsection on creole cream cheese ice cream, these are specialty products with limited availability, as is discussed in the article. When and where they are produced often makes news, as well as how the products are used in cuisine. This information is encyclopedic and helpful to our readers. See the hamburger article for comparison where fast food chains serving the dish are noted and images of their offerings used as illustrations. Feel free to initiate a discussion on the article talk page to solicit further input. Candleabracadabra (talk) 20:53, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. --Ronz (talk) 22:01, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. --Ronz (talk) 23:07, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
I've restored all the information that I think anyone might dispute when overlooking WP:V, WP:RS, WP:NPOV, WP:SOAP, etc. I hope you'll agree that the remaining additions I made are absolutely not disruptive in any way [1]. In the future, please be careful with your reverts and accusations. Thanks! --Ronz (talk) 23:20, 8 May 2013 (UTC)

Copyright violation
editThank you for your recent contribution to List of Great Floridians. However, the last phrase, "Dr. James Robert Cade, who led a team of UF researchers that created Gatorade in 1965" is a direct copy from your source, which is not permitted unless you are quoting the source. Categories
editPlease make sure to add categories to all articles you created. They are a valuable tool to find related pages, check for duplicates, ... Fram (talk) 13:43, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
- From the guideline Wikipedia:Categorization: "Every Wikipedia page should belong to at least one category." Could you either add at least one relevant category to each page you create, or at least add the {{uncategorized}} tag to the bottom of the page? It is great that you are creating a lot of pages, but a category is one of the basic aspects that should be included in every new page. Thank you! Fram (talk) 09:25, 27 May 2013 (UTC)
- Anybody home? Any reason why you don't even reply to posts? It is obvious that you have read it, since you suddenly appeared at an article I had written the day after I had posted my first message here. But you still don't add any categories or at a minimum the "uncat" tag to the pages you create. If you have a good reason to disregard the guideline about this, then it would be nice if you could share that reason. Otherwise, your refusal to change your editing habits, and your lack of any discussion and cooperation, is getting disruptive. Fram (talk) 10:44, 3 June 2013 (UTC)
Please also don't leave the "under construction" tag on pages. While there is a bot that removes this tag after 7 days without edits, the intention is that the tag is only used when you are still actively editing the page, and that you remove it once you are finished with the first series of edits. You seem to leave this tag on pages much too often.
A more thorough checking of your pages would also indicate obvious problems like the reference errors on Louis Magaziner. Also, try to avoid bare URLs, they give no information to the reader. Fram (talk) 10:56, 3 June 2013 (UTC)

- I'm a new page patroller, it's a bit hard to avoid your creations. I'm not dissatisfied with your contributions, I'm mostly dissatisfied with your lack of discussion. When someone comes to your talk page with remarks, whether justified or not, it is best to reply and give your view on these things. We are supposed to be a collaborative creation, and that includes the need to discuss things. Simply ignoring things usually will not make the other party likely to come around to your point of view and makes it impossible to reach an agreement or understanding. Fram (talk) 06:31, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

Political parties
editFor your information, this is not our standard policy. For politicians, the party matters very much, and always goes into the lead paragraph in their articles. Bearian (talk) 20:27, 17 June 2013 (UTC)
- My edit maintained party affiliation in the lead paragraph. It also put the most important information first, the fact that the subject of the article is a governor. I don't think party affiliation is more of a defining characteristic than that, do you? I don't believe it should be standard procedure to put party FIRST above all else and I don't believe this is the practice for any major politician article. I also don't think it helps to put in filler like "is an American politician" rather than just including straightforward specifics. Barack Obama is a Democratic Party American Politician. LMAO. That would be a stupid way to write his article and I'm quite sure his article is not written that way. Candleabracadabra (talk) 15:26, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Science First
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Science First requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Hell In A Bucket (talk) 00:42, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
Hello, Candleabracadabra. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Cronut, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:
- edit the page
- remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- save the page
Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Barney the barney barney (talk) 18:30, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
Hello, Candleabracadabra,
I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Cronut should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cronut .
If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
Thanks, Barney the barney barney (talk) 21:51, 29 June 2013 (UTC)

hi, invitation to NRHP
editHi Candelabracadabra -- I found my way to several new articles by you about NRHP-listed places in Denver, because one or two of them linked to architect articles that I had created, so I was automatically notified. I would like to welcome you, and to invite you to join WikiProject NRHP if you like (you just go to wp:NRHP and add your name to list of members). Feel free to post questions or comments at the Talk page, shortcut wt:NRHP, whether you join or not. I do see at User talk:Candleabracadabra/archive that you were "welcomed" to wikipedia back in 2011. Glad to see your contributions about the NRHPs. Sorry that your Talk page is cluttered by bot notices and unpleasant AFD notices; happily it looks like all the AFDs failed or are failing, and you can choose to opt out of the bot notices. The disambiguation bot is easy to get dropped from; it's just a bit harder to figure out how to opt out of the BracketBot. I apologize on behalf of the _people_ here at wikipedia, that you are subjected to these bots! :) Feel free to contact me anytime at my Talk page. Again welcome, and you're invited, and keep up the good work! Cheers, --doncram 23:15, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks so much Doncram. Much appreciated. I have seen many examples of your good works here and you are a huge contributor. :) I am always happy to have help (and happy to lend a hand where my contributions are in some ways useful). :) Take care. Candleabracadabra (talk) 17:47, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
Balinese cuisine
editThe previous article got moved to List of Balinese cuisine. It was then deleted by PROD, so it could be undeleted on request, but I see no point because its entire content (presented as a list) was: "List of Balinese cuisine: Betutu, Sate Susu, Sate Lilit, Babi Guling". Cheers, JohnCD (talk) 21:36, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
- I used those bits to update the Balinese cuisine and Satay articles. Thanks for your help. Candleabracadabra (talk) 05:13, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
Move during AfD
editWhy did you move Joe Campos Torres while it is in AfD? The move is being discussed and an even better suggestion of an article on the Moody Park riots was put forth. I'd strongly suggest undoing your action. Niteshift36 (talk) 22:29, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
- I didn't think article improvements cease during AfD and the move was based on the discussion that is taking place. If an even better solution is put forth I certainly have no objection to further changes being made. Candleabracadabra (talk) 22:37, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
- It's not a mere improvement. Adding sources or cleaning up the prose are improvements. Moving the article to a different name goes beyond that and it is one of the things under discussion. You're pre-empting the process. Niteshift36 (talk) 22:47, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
- Actually, the rule about moving articles while they're at AfD has been modified. At WP:EDITATAFD, part of the Wikipedia:Guide to deletion information page it states "Moving the article while it is being discussed can produce confusion. If you do this, please note it on the deletion discussion page, preferably both at the top of the discussion (for new participants) and as a new comment at the bottom (for the benefit of the closing administrator)." Northamerica1000(talk) 05:58, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
- As a point of fact, that's not actually a rule. The editor could have waited. Niteshift36 (talk) 16:11, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note. I think I am pretty good about noting any moves in the appropriate discussion. The one noted above was well discussed and based on suggestions from other editors. And the Yara one below was a correction of the title (from a misspelling). I think these should be considered appropriate and I don't see either causing major confusion. I can't guarantee I would remember to return to the subjects and implement that kind of fix post discussion. But if someone disagrees they can certainly revert me. And I moved a third article from Travel 2.0. Feel free to review and see if it was wise. It is under discussion and was based on comments made by various editors considering how best to handle the subject matter. Candleabracadabra (talk) 06:05, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
- No problem. I added a note at the top of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Travel 2.0 notifying editors of the name change, per recommendation at the Guide to deletion info. page. Northamerica1000(talk) 06:23, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
- Also added a note at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Don't Worry Yaara. Northamerica1000(talk) 06:26, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

Double Redirect
editHi Candleabracadabra, I noticed that you have created double redirects in case of Kosair Crippled Children's Hospital to Kosair Crippled Childrens Hospital to Kosair Children's Hospital and Lonhuda Pottery Company to Lonhuda to Lonhuda pottery. Per Wikipedia:Double redirects all the double redirect are unwanted, because Wikipedia's MediaWiki software will not follow the second redirect, in order to prevent infinite loops (to prevent endless looping, a redirect will not "pass through" more than one entry; if someone is redirected to a redirect, the chain stops after the first redirect). So Please make all the redirects single.--Vigyanitalkਯੋਗਦਾਨ 06:16, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note. I'm pretty sure bots take care of this. It's important that readers are directed to the proper subject. Unfortunately, things are often known by various titles and it can be trying to sort it all out. Candleabracadabra (talk) 06:20, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
- Yes it is important to create the redirects. Since in this I think you have manually created all the redirects, so it is better to directly substitute the final article name.--Vigyanitalkਯੋਗਦਾਨ 06:27, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
Includes:
- St. Mary's Hospital of La Salle founded in 1887 by the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart
- People's Hospital of Peru founded in 1914
- Redirects including IVCH

Speedy deletion nomination of CNL Financial Group
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on CNL Financial Group requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. GSK ● ✉ ✓ 03:24, 10 July 2013 (UTC)

You must stop damaging the article about a country as wonderful as Colombia with these images.
editThe article about Colombia is in the process of a best editing, this article is being improved gradually by true connoisseurs about Colombia, for example more than 70% of Colombians has never seen a guerrilla fighter in his life. The Colombian do not want the image of a criminal like Pablo Escobar appears in the article about the country.
If you want to see images of a criminal like Pablo Escobar and the murderous guerrilla you can search these images on the web. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Theryx7 (talk • contribs) 05:01, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for your note. You've removed content about the outlawing of slavery, the millions of internally displaced people, and images regarding the drug war. These are notable aspects of Colombia's history and need to be represented. You have acted against two editors. At this point you need to discuss. If there are better photos to use then let's substitute those by all means. But the Wikipedia article on Colombia should not be just sunsets and scenic wildlife. If 30% of Colombians have seen guerilla fighters that is a substantial proportion. Are you suggesting that the level of violence, the extent of the drug trade, the kidnappings and violence, and the internal conflict in Colombia were not substantial? Candleabracadabra (talk) 05:11, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
I have edited this article for months with the help of true connoisseurs of the country, although the article needs several improvements, but now you're ruining all the hours of work on this article. You're officially the great destroyer of articles.--Theryx7 (talk) 05:24, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
- Which is better and why?:
- a) Colombia is ethnically diverse. The interaction between descendants of the original native inhabitants, Spanish colonists, African people originally brought to the country as slaves and 20th-century immigrants from Europe and the Middle East, have produced a varied cultural heritage.[1] This has also been influenced by Colombia's varied geography. The majority of the urban centres are located in the highlands of the Andes mountains, but Colombian territory also encompasses Amazon rainforest, tropical grassland and both Caribbean and Pacific coastlines.
- b) Colombia is ethnically diverse and includes descendants of the original native inhabitants, Spanish colonists, African people originally brought to the country as slaves and 20th-century immigrants from Europe and the Middle East.[1] Colombia is also geographically varied with distinct regions and topography. The majority of the urban centres are located in the highlands of the Andes mountains, but Colombian territory also encompasses Amazon rainforest, tropical grassland and both Caribbean and Pacific coastlines.
Candleabracadabra (talk) 05:50, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
The first option is better because the Colombian geography has influenced the culture of each of the inhabitants of Colombia. --Theryx7 (talk) 06:08, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, your version has some serious grammatical issues. For example, what is meant by "This"?
- If you were willing to work with an experienced editor and native English speaker to improve the article, instead of launching into ranty attacks, you would probably have more success. Your grasp of the English language is not great and your writing is often confusing.
- Also, Wikipedia is meant to be an informative encyclopedia, not a source of advocacy or advertisement.
- What makes you think the Metrocable is the first ever cable car used for public transport? Why don't you think the 2.4 million internally displaced people should be noted? Why don't you think the information on the outlawing of slavery is worth including? Candleabracadabra (talk) 06:21, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
I didn't wrote the sections that you listed, if you see any grammatical problems then you should correct them. and you should read the section about demographics to find the question of displaced persons, please don't bother me. Note: I wrote in a confusing manner because you are very annoying. --Theryx7 (talk) 07:06, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
Theryx, you've written in the Colombian cuisine article that there is "little influence of foreign cuisines." Yet in the very next sentence you've noted that: "Colombian dishes... incorporate the traditions of Spanish culture, mestizo and Afro."
Your writing has a lot of problems. You make some very helpful additions but you are a bit rash, obstinate, and confrontational. I suggest you slow down and see if you can work together collaboratively with others.
Also, if you make individual changes instead of engaging in sweeping edits and mass reversions it would be easier to sort out the wheat from the chaff (implement the constructive changes and eliminate any unconstructive aspects). Candleabracadabra (talk) 06:34, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
I'm adding info from a friend who also has a account on wikipedia called roboting. You could wait a bit to that I can improve the information, but you could help me with these problems of information. Don't bother me more. You're a terrible critic and your criticism does not help me. --Theryx7 (talk) 07:02, 11 July 2013 (UTC)

Duck Dynasty on Wikipedia
editHi there, I appreciate your articles on Phil Robertson and Si Robertson; I was planning to do those myself, but I am glad that someone else helped me out! I was going to ask you a question: It seems to me that you have been on Wikipedia quite some time (I myself have only joined this year), and I was wondering if you know how to create a task-force or WikiProject. I think that Wikipedia:Wikiproject Television/Duck Dynasty would be a nice addition to Wikipedia, but I do not know how to make one yet. I think that Duck Dynasty is something that Wikipedia (as well as our culture) badly needs. Together, our task-force could create Pages on all cast members, as well as duck calls, episodes, merchandise, etc. Thanks, JACK! Carwile2 (talk) 23:57, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
- I believe that might be a little bit narrow in focus? There is a WikiProject Television project (see the talk page for discussion) and there is a television episode project: Wikipedia talk:Television episodes. I am not sure how active those projects are. Definitely Duck Dynasty is a critically imporant subject of tremendous historical, culinary, social, and spiritual significance. God bless. Candleabracadabra (talk) 00:11, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, but I what I think we could aim for is something that encompasses the entire Duck Commander realm (Merchandise, DuckScouts, Calls, Willie's Winery, Alan Robertson, etc). I don't know if that would be categorized under television, or if a custom project needs to be created. Let me know what you think! Carwile2 (talk) 00:34, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
Hi Candleabracadabra. Thanks for expanding on the architectural history of the Museum Georg Schäfer. Could you provide me with some sort of citation verifying Erich Schelling's plan drawn up in 1959? In fact, it'd be useful if you could direct me to a source for the Mies van der Rohe connection, too! Thanks, in advance. --Iryna Harpy (talk) 03:03, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
- I think you may have me confused with someone else? :) I don't think I added much if anything to that article. Sorry! Candleabracadabra (talk) 03:09, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
- Apologies for the mistake. I'd somehow missed the addition by Squid & Chips which you'd tidied. I'll make enquiries on his talk page. Several hours into accomplishing very little today, I seem to be losing the thread... Thanks for your time, anyway! --Iryna Harpy (talk) 03:18, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Lucy W. Morgan
editHello Candleabracadabra,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Lucy W. Morgan for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Jay 13:30, 25 August 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Echelon Magazine
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Echelon Magazine requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Randykitty (talk) 10:14, 10 September 2013 (UTC)

You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
The article Charcuterie Sibilia has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Your removal of a speedy
editHi,
I'm writing to you regarding this removal you just made: [4] of a speedy tag which was on a talk page that no longer has a main page associated with it. It is just a maintenance cleaning and is not regarding the article itself which already was deleted. I respectfully request that you replace the speedy so that the maintenance on Wiki can be properly accomplished to keep things tidy. If you feel the article that the talk page refers to should be reinstated you can address that issue on a deletion review. Thank you. ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 15:21, 20 September 2013 (UTC)
- Okay. I see your point. I will restore it. Although I'm not sure why an editor shouldn't be allowed to work on an article in their userspace or discuss it on the relevant userspace talk page? Candleabracadabra (talk) 15:35, 20 September 2013 (UTC)

The article Cherry Bowl Diner has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Great place, but not notable.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. US 31 in MI
editWe follow the article structure outlined in WP:USRD/STDS for such articles. For Michigan-based articles, as appropriate there are a few additional sections that pop up from time to time specifically for Historic bridges and Memorial names. Landmarks or Points of interest are not done as separate sections, but rather those items are listed, in their appropriate geographic locations, in the Route description section. US 31 is one of the last two C-Class articles left on a highway in Michigan, and as such, it's in my priorities to overhaul and expand/update before taking it to WP:GAN. Imzadi 1979 → 18:41, 23 September 2013 (UTC)
- No worries. But the two landmarks I added are worth noting. If I haven't put them in the right place can you please integrate them appropriately? Sources such as this one discuss them as being significant landmarks along the route. Thank you. Candleabracadabra (talk) 18:49, 23 September 2013 (UTC)
- I've done that already, but it's pushing undue weight to call out two landmarks among what should be dozens along a 300+ mile highway in the state. They aren't part of the highway's history (the road wasn't changed to accommodate them) and we don't use "Landmarks" as a heading to avoid turning highway articles into travel guides. Even so, I won't guarantee that when the RD section is overhauled that the links will survive. I used to live in Traverse City, and no, they aren't major landmarks. Imzadi 1979 → 18:54, 23 September 2013 (UTC)
- And why did you add a second Route description section? There already is one! (For an article to be rated C-Class for USRD, it has to have the RD, a history and the junction/exit list table). Imzadi 1979 → 18:58, 23 September 2013 (UTC)
- I had an edit conflict and am having a bit of trouble saving edits. I was trying to make a spelling correction. The inclusion you've made looks fine to me. As far as weight I hope that other landmarks will be added. We have to start somewhere. :) Candleabracadabra (talk) 19:00, 23 September 2013 (UTC)

editI merged it over there because of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kroger (Ponce de Leon Ave.). So we should probably put it back as the split is now a CSD opportunity, I think. Thanks though. Biosthmors (talk) pls notify me (i.e. {{U}}) while signing a reply, thx 15:53, 27 September 2013 (UTC)
- Indeed the subject doesn't look notable to me. But none of what I cut out belongs in the Ponce de Leon Avenue article. Candleabracadabra (talk) 16:28, 27 September 2013 (UTC)
- I deleted the split article as CSD G4 -- the consensus at the AfD was clear that the Kroger material was insufficient for a separate article. I suggest opening a discussion at Talk:Ponce de Leon Avenue as to whether to leave the material there and/or how much of it should stay. —Darkwind (talk) 23:46, 27 September 2013 (UTC)
- They key question is: what if anything about a Kroger store on the street and criminal acts that have taken place there belongs in the article on the street? I think the answer is clear. Also, if the material was worth speedily deleting on its own, it's probably not well sourced and not significant even in a much broader subject area. Candleabracadabra (talk) 00:01, 28 September 2013 (UTC)
- I don't (and won't) take any position on whether or not the material belongs in the article about the street. The only reason your new split article was deleted is because it was essentially a re-creation of material removed pursuant to a deletion discussion. Stated another way, community consensus said that material didn't belong in a separate article. There was no consensus in the AfD as to whether the material is or is not suitable for inclusion elsewhere -- and as the closing admin, I refuse to get involved. I was just "enforcing" the community decision regarding having a separate article on the Kroger store. Hope that makes sense. (BTW, I'm glad to see you discussing it on the talk page instead of edit warring. Wish more people would do that.) —Darkwind (talk) 04:22, 28 September 2013 (UTC)

Fenton
editI'm really starting to get frustrated here. I've explained it at the AFD. I've pointed you at the guidelines. Your material can not be restored to the article.
If I restore your material and any other editor comes along and builds upon your change, licensing issues will cause the history of the mall article to be locked in place. That would subvert the AFD. That's the reason the guidelines tell all editors not to merge material from articles that are at AFD.
After the AFD is closed, and only after the AFD is closed, I will consider what to do with your changes.—Kww(talk) 18:27, 28 September 2013 (UTC)
- The licensing issues can be resolved by preserving the history. Do you have any substantive arguments for why this can't or shouldn't be done? The content I added at Fenton, Michigan certainly seems appropriate to me to include (although I wouldn't oppose further pruning). :The policy you pointed to states that merge shouldn't be carried out to avoid the deletion of an article. But that's not what was done. I included what was appropriate to include at another article and I am advocating FOR deletion of the Silver Lake article and only for preservation of the history with a protected redirect so the consensus from the current and past discussion is retained. You have made no argument suggesting why this would disrupt anything or why this would be bad for the encyclopedia or why you can't restore the changes I made that aren't related to the Silver Lake subject. Your actions are unilateral and disruptive. Candleabracadabra (talk) 18:37, 28 September 2013 (UTC)
- "Preserving the history" is a keep. The problem with your action is that it makes deleting the article impossible, and deletion is still a valid outcome of the AFD. It's not permitted to take actions that prevent the AFD from playing out.—Kww(talk) 19:21, 28 September 2013 (UTC)

The article Surf Style has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Walter S. Bowman, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://boundless.uoregon.edu/digcol/gh/bowman.html.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

Nomination of Walter S. Bowman for deletion
editA discussion is taking place as to whether the article Walter S. Bowman is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Walter S. Bowman until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Aboutmovies (talk) 03:58, 18 October 2013 (UTC)
Hi. Thanks for chipping in. However, why don't you think he deserves his own page as a documentary film maker and billionaire heir?Zigzig20s (talk) 21:44, 18 October 2013 (UTC)
- I believe I voted Keep at the deletion discussion because he has received substantial coverage in reliable independent sources. That much of the coverage relates in some way to his patrimony doesn't concern me as it seems to others. Candleabracadabra (talk) 21:51, 18 October 2013 (UTC)
- I couldn't agree more. How can we restore the page?Zigzig20s (talk) 23:09, 18 October 2013 (UTC)
- Find good sources covering him that weren't available or discussed in the previous discussion. You might just have to wait. If he gets covered going forward the article can be redeveloped. You can request that an admin put the article in your userspace so you can work on it in the meantime. Good luck. Candleabracadabra (talk) 23:14, 18 October 2013 (UTC)
- Is there any way to see what the page looked like before it was deleted? I remember it was a fine stub, but I could be mistaken. Btw can you please reply on my talkpage?Zigzig20s (talk) 17:24, 19 October 2013 (UTC)
- Yes. Just ask Mark Arsten who closed the AfD and carried out the deletion to move the article to your userspace so you can work on it. Candleabracadabra (talk) 14:10, 20 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi, I had created an article Joju George and was deleted through speedy deletion. I have the references to substatiate the information I have provided. The notability of the actor was the concern for the article being deleted. You have commented Userfy for this article. Request you to kindly restore the article or provide the copy of the article to be edited and submitted again. Prardhana (talk) 07:20, 19 October 2013 (UTC)
- Hello Pradhana. I am not an administrator so I can't restore articles. Once the Deletion Review discussion concludes (I believe they run 5-7 days) an administrator will make a determination as to the consensus of comments based on the strength of the arguments. If you want to have the article put in your userspace so you can work on it I think that would be an appropriate outcome and you should suggest that in comments at the discussion. Please keep in mind that the article will probably not be accepted back into Wikipedia's main article space unless it is substantially improved with citations to independent coverage from reliable sources (if they exist?). Good luck. Candleabracadabra (talk) 13:21, 19 October 2013 (UTC)

Candidates
editElectoral candidates at that level are not notable solely for being electoral candidates, and the media coverage they get solely for being electoral candidates is not enough to bestow notability, because it stops the instant they lose the election. Today, I read twenty-two articles on such candidates: 11 12 of them did assert notability aside from 'being a candidate', and I left them alone, and 1110 did not, and I deleted them. "Having been a candidate" at that level is not, in itself, an assertion of notability either. Is there any coverage of these people aside from when they're running for office?
If you'd like to write a fresh article on Ms Ehrlich, or on any of the others, you're welcome to do so -- but please do a better job of establishing notability.
(Of course, they automatically acquire notability the instant they win; I'll have no problem with the articles being restored should that happen.) DS (talk) 15:21, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
Sorry, I would have dealt with you more actively, but I'd had drops in my eyes and was unable to read my screen for several hours; thank you for escalating the process. I've restored those ten articles, and will give you ten days to improve them before I take them all to AfD. This is not a zero-sum game; I'll be very pleased if you do manage to improve any of them to the extent that I no longer consider that they should be deleted. DS (talk) 12:06, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
- I appreciate your willingness to respond collegially even though we strongly disagree. I will have a look at them when I have some time and see what I can contribute if anything. I generally agree with editor DGG that major party nominees for national office in the U.S. are generally notable as there is almost always substantial coverage in reliable independent sources that cover them. In the case of a one time candidate for such office a redirect to the election may be adequate, but this doesn't work for individuals who are involved in more than one campaign. Also, the fact that a candidate wins the primary election for a national office goes a long way in establishing their notability as per being a leader within their party. Win or lose they are one of the standard bearers for various positions and political debate for the area they are seeking to represent. As such, coverage in an ecnyclopedia is warranted and helpful to our readers. Take care. Candleabracadabra (talk) 18:55, 24 October 2013 (UTC)

editRegarding this, could you please provide a link to the source. Yes, I know the info is public domain, but how can I verify that this info is correct, and not just something somebody made up? Please provide a reference or else I will remove it again. Jehochman Talk 15:21, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Jehochman. Here is a government website with historical election results. For example here are the results for 1980. The Washington results are on page 65. For the more specific results breakdown included in the table I suspect you might have to contact the Washington supervisor of elections office? Surely these records are kept somehwere. :) But I would certainly think this information is verifiable. While the more detailed breakdown is somewhat interesting, it probably wouldn't be the end of the world if it was removed. But I think it is pretty standard practice and considered appropriate to include the more general breakdown of results in elections won and lost for a given candidate. Take care. Candleabracadabra (talk) 18:28, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
- I should probably add that I am not an expert on elections. This is just what I was able to dig up with some google-fu. You might get a better and more complete answer on the relevant Wikiproject page? I know there are election junkies out there so I assume we may have some on Wikipedia. I expect they would be far more knowledgable than me. Candleabracadabra (talk) 18:31, 24 October 2013 (UTC)

- Vandalism? On your user page you claim you provide deleted articles when reasonable requests are made. Given that I have made a reasonable request and provided links to very substantial coverage in reliable sources, there is no reason for you to respond with a copy of an article in Italian, suggesting I should "back translate" it from the English article it originally came from. I would like to remain civil, so I would simply ask that you not post here again. Removing a dishonesty from your userpage is hardly vandalism. If you can't be civil or collegial I don't want to have anything to do with you. Thanks. Candleabracadabra (talk) 07:16, 31 October 2013 (UTC)

- Sorry User:Kudpung, I didn't see this message, just the reason for deletion and the REFUND request. I've restored the original to User:Candleabracadabra/United Visual Artists, which shouldn't be an issue as there was no copyright involved. Candleabracadabra, you're going to need to do a lot better than the article as it was there, otherwise it will be deleted again. I'll be checking back myself at the end of the year. - Attribution is certainly an issue an if I was to use a Google translated version from the Italian that would be improper. If you have questions about this please consult user:Kww. Nomination of Madhurima Tuli for deletion
editA discussion is taking place as to whether the article Madhurima Tuli is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Madhurima Tuli until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion.
ES&L 10:19, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
Festersen
editHey Candleabracadabra, with respect, I think we should take off the notability tag for Pete Festersen. I can see how a Congressional candidate isn't necessarily notable, but I think the city council president of a city of over 400,000 people is pretty clearly notable.
Orser67 (talk) 23:52, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
- I removed the notability tag per your request. I am not sure that being a city council president establishes notability. Has he been covered substantiall in reliable independent sources? What has he done as CIty COuncil president? Candleabracadabra (talk) 02:01, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
Joe Grushecky
editIn regard to this edit to Joe Grushecky, although I agree with you that the article should be kept, the AfD notice should not be removed until an administrator closes the AfD discussion. (I am an administrator, but I'm a participant in this particular discussion so I can't close the discussion.) --Metropolitan90 (talk) 03:42, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- Right. I was just trying to remove the promotion as per your suggestion in the deletion discussion and removed the AfD notice by accident. Thank you for restoring it. Candleabracadabra (talk) 03:46, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
AFD Arguments
editHello, I just wanted to tell you that edits like the one you made here are completely unhelpful for closing admininstrators. Simply stating that sources exist, without providing them, is doing no more than making a vote which is irrelevant. As there weren't any sources provided for this article, I've deleted the article per the consensus in the discussion. Next time, please try to actually back up your arguments at AFD or they may be considered disruptive. — Coffee // have a cup // essay // 14:48, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
- ummmmmm.. What? How is pointing out that there is substantial coverage in reliable sources unhelpful? Your comments are ridiculous. If you had follow up questions for me all you had to do is ask. It's supposed to be a DISCUSSION. You are just as able to do a google news search as me are you not? Did you disagree with my findings? Please don't post this kind of stupidity on my page. It makes me nauseous. Candleabracadabra (talk) 19:31, 6 November 2013 (UTC)

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Manly N. Cutter, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://dictionaryofarchitectsincanada.org/architects/view/1012.
(If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) MadmanBot (talk) 22:57, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note. I have worked to resolve any issues related to copyrights. Please let me know if you have any remaining concerns. Candleabracadabra (talk) 23:34, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Candleabracadabra, I'm a clerk at Wikipedia:Copyright problems. It seems OK now, but in future, please don't paste text into articles, even if you are planning to rephrase it later. Once it's picked up by the bot, it's registered at Wikipedia:Suspected copyright violations, and a human editor then has to check it out. We've got a big backlog there and this creates unnecessary work for us. Best, Voceditenore (talk) 08:40, 16 November 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Anna Maria Fish Co.
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Anna Maria Fish Co. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Ruby Murray 02:17, 14 November 2013 (UTC)

Hi Candle, how are you?
I am working on the Madhurima Tuli article. I see you have reverted back in Diff of Madhurima Tuli adding the name of the journalist and the pub date. That, unfortunately, does not work as long as no other source for this claim can be found (by me at least) and more importantly http://www.missuttarakhand.com/history does not mention her. Did you find a secondary source to support the statement? Your help is appreciated, I think the AfD nomination was hasty or maybe the article just needed a bit more work.

Speedy deletion nomination of John Collins House
editHello Candleabracadabra,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged John Collins House for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Jawwad Durrani Talk to me 16:05, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
