Post-review catchup

I know that a while back I gave Mal a review for your admin coaching, and was wondering if you had any questions from it. If you have anything you'd like to ask me, please feel free to drop by my talk page with your questions and I'll do my best to help you. Gazimoff 10:13, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

AFD

Note about AFD: If material is merged then the original can't be deleted because we need to maintain the history and give credit to the person who wrote it. RJFJR (talk) 16:11, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

La( )Fayette

Either Lafayette or La Fayette are appropriate, however I'm not the best source for information on the matter; you could try to research why both variations exist if you'd like to know more.--danielfolsom 20:46, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Hello there,

Hey, I would like you to quote some of the abuse I posted in the Elizabeth talkpage. Gavin Scott (talk) 22:02, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Goodday, please disregard the above request. That is a chapter in my Wikihistory I wish to remain forever locked away in an unedited archive, never to be spoken of again. Thanks, I shall try to be less controversial in the Queen Liz talk page. Gavin Scott (talk) 02:43, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

My dastardly deeds at British monarchy articles

I'm doing history merges on the articles, so all the author credit is in one place. I'm fixing up cut-and-paste moves from six years ago, before there was a move function on Wikipedia. I'm sorry about the watchlist clutter, but the way I do history merges is much kinder to the servers than the regular way, because these days the servers crunch when trying to delete more than a thousand revisions. Graham87 11:06, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Thanks! I can see how it'd be confusing to have ten million watchlist entries about moving and deletion to random locations. Graham87 14:15, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Dinner?

Love to. I'll bring a bottle of plonk. Prince of Canada t | c 22:27, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Well... popping across the pond for a dinner is probably a bit excessive. I live in the benighted colonies, you see.. Prince of Canada t | c 14:11, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

RE: Hi again!

Hey Cameron!

Sure the offer is by all means still there, which article would you like reviewing?

I've just started to mediate a case dispute, so I might be a little busy with that but when I find some spare time I'll happily review your article.

Yeah I've signed up to work with Malinaccier for some ADCO, he looks like an excellent coach so I really look forward to working with him in the future.

Kind regards

CyclonenimT@lk? 17:57, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Haha, funny you should say that as I hate history! But that shouldn't prevent me giving a good review of everything except content (i.e. factual accuracy etc), you may wish to find someone else for that job. —CyclonenimT@lk? 18:06, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Stewart Sapphire DYK

On 20 August, 2008, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Stewart Sapphire, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Hey wow, congrats! Well done, sir. I shall have to pop across the pond with a bottle now..
I shall also have to remember to sign my comments. Prince of Canada t | c 19:33, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
Neat. I shall have to do this myself.. I've been fiddling with starting an article. I'll let you know when I've got the bare bones up. Also.. new sex? Naughty! Prince of Canada t | c 19:52, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
You're welcome. That's one of the main benefits of getting an article on DYK? – the number of views and edits goes up dramatically, and this usually results in an improved article. Here's to many more... — Dan1980 (talk ♦ stalk) 20:00, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

Chitchat

There's currently no article on Heraldry in Canada, so I thought I'd give it a go. And are you saying that you are denying our love? I SHALL WEEP! Prince of Canada t | c 20:01, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

Ha! I am not so cheaply bought! (I am, however, buyable for a couple rolls of Refreshers and a bottle of barley squash...mmmmmm). I'm going to get started on the article tonight; I'll ping you when there's something there you can sink your teeth into. Prince of Canada t | c 20:37, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

Not much there yet, but... Canadian heraldry is what I'm slowly working on. Prince of Canada t | c 15:36, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
Hee, thanks! There will be a bit about the Arms of Canada shortly. I got distracted by a game. Prince of Canada t | c 18:20, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
Ping. I've done a little bit of work. Can you cast your most vicious and critical eye over it, and give some feedback? Spare me not. Prince of Canada t | c 04:04, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
Thank you! As far as the COA-Canada and COA-France are concerned, it seemed to me that they both needed to be included, and Canada's were most appropriate in the State section. Thus France in the lead. And if I must be brutally honest.. I flipped a coin to decide which went where. Also, the DYK process seems byzantine to me. Is there a simpler explanation somewhere?

Aw, thank you.

As the infamous doctor said... "People will say we're in love."

Wikidating? Oh god.. open source dating. Can you imagine those edit wars? ;) Prince of Canada t | c 17:23, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
HAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHHAHAHAHA. You, sir, owe me a new keyboard. Prince of Canada t | c 17:26, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

Australian State Coach

Hi. I did plan on creating the article instead of scarring your template with a nasty red link but I forget all about it. Just wanted to say nice work :-) Craigy (talk) 19:58, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

How omenous! Thanks - I've seen your good work here and there too. Yes, how odd we've never corresponded before now, seeing as we have shared interests :-) . Anyhoo, the only thing I could think of is that it's sometimes used for the State Opening, but I see you've already added that. Well, if I find anything... Regards, Craigy (talk) 20:10, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
Oooh. Well there's this and this from the mailbox. I can't find anymore, but hopefully there's enough there for you to write a stub at least. I imagine this is the one Diana and Fergie used? Craigy (talk) 20:21, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
Nah, I'll let it be your baby ;-) Craigy (talk) 20:28, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
(Sorry the discussion is jumping about - feel free to add it altogether either here or on my talk page) Nice work! But, isn't if finished? This seems to indicate it was presented in 2006? Craigy (talk) 13:15, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

RE: concern at RfA

Thanks for clearing things up, I'm opposing anyway for other reasons, but I think the user is trying to state that they should cool users off when they have been incivil, conducted in personal attacks or 3RR. These aren't cool down blocks, they are just blocks. —Cyclonenim (talk · contribs · email) 17:25, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Aye, I'd agree with you on that bit. Btw, when are you applying for adminship? This has been in my watchlist for a while (don't worry, that's a good thing) —Cyclonenim (talk · contribs · email) 17:29, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Haha great, well I'm a certain support anyway :) 1/0/0 already! To be honest you've done more coaching than a lot of successful applicants so assuming no one finds any problems during the RfA you'll do well. I applied for coaching with Malinaccier but his list of coachees seems really big compared to other admins, so I might look elsewhere in the mean time. If I can't find an admin I'd like to coach me before Malinaccier approaches me, I'll go with him. —Cyclonenim (talk · contribs · email) 17:44, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Ah, well in the case I think I will indeed wait. —Cyclonenim (talk · contribs · email) 17:57, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Haha, very good point :) I look forward to it! :P —Cyclonenim (talk · contribs · email) 18:07, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Help request

Is there a way to change the writing in my navbar to #DFFF00, or any other colour for that matter? Thanks so much, --Cameron* 11:40, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Sure is. In this line of code (cellpadding="4" cellspacing="4" style="width:100%; margin:auto; background: #000000; border: 3px solid #DFFF00; -moz-border-radius:1px;") you sould change the numbers or letters after the pound sign (#). Synergy 12:24, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
Ah you meant the font. Hmmm. Let me check, Jamies93 is also checking it over as well. Synergy 12:34, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
I think I did what you wanted with this edit. Was that ok? Synergy 12:54, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
Synergy was able to fix it by adding a <font color="#DFFF00"> to each text line. I wasn't able to find a more abbreviated way to work the formatting (i.e. only one <div> line needing to be altered), but at least this works for now I think. :-) JamieS93 12:59, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Template:Ceremonies of the British monarch

+ Pricking the Lites, perhaps? :-) Craigy (talk) 20:38, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Haha! Come on...I only noticed because Coronation of the British monarch, Trooping the Colour‎ etc. are in my watchlist :-p OK, I'll add it in. Craigy (talk) 20:48, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
