Joe Critchlow

Just let you know, I undid some of your deletion sorting with respect to Joe Critchlow. In the titles of WP namespace pages, football usually refers to association football (soccer), whereas Critchlow plays Canadian football, an entirely different sport with its own WikiProject. I hope you don't mind. Sir Sputnik (talk) 22:02, 11 November 2017 (UTC)

Hi Cap; requesting you to not re-list unnecessarily

Hi Cap, wanted to request you to not re-list Afds like Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hindu Bulletin if there have been no comments opposing deletions. This is as per the updated deletion policy which I had mentioned in the said Afd. I had requested The Bushranger earlier and would request them again to close this Afd as a delete. Thanks. Deletion

Hello CAPTAIN RAJU. I saw your deletion request for History of Spanish photojournalism. The article was created as part of a educational project; one student couldn´t publish it, so I did it. Can you wait for me to correct it, before you delete it?. Best, --Rodelar (talk) 20:16, 16 November 2017 (UTC)

Hello. I did some corrections in the article. Can you review it?. Best, --Rodelar (talk) 01:30, 20 November 2017 (UTC)
I've already decline the speedy deletion.Thank you for removing copyright content from History of Spanish photojournalism article. There is no copyright content on your article. Your article is now copyright free.CAPTAIN RAJU(T) 07:31, 20 November 2017 (UTC)
Hello again. I´ve seen a new template added on the article. Should I eliminate something else?. --Rodelar (talk) 11:22, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
I have recently removed all copyright content and copyvio-revdel template from History of Spanish Photojournalism page.See here.CAPTAIN RAJU(T) 18:39, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
You shouldn't have removed {{copyvio-revdel}}. You are not an admin, and an admin has not hidden the copyright infringing revisions. — JJMC89(T·C) 04:10, 22 November 2017 (UTC)

List of PSP Games

I declined your speedy deletion request for List of PSP Games. A1 is pretty specific, and if there's enough context in the title to identify the subject, it's not eligible. --Fabrictramp | talk to me 03:59, 17 November 2017 (UTC)

WikiCup 2018

So the 2017 WikiCup has come to an end. Congratulations to the winner, to the other finalists and to all those who took part. 177 contestants signed up, more than usual, but not all of them submitted entries in the first round. Were editors attracted by the cash prizes offered for the first time this year, or were these irrelevant? Do the rules and scoring need changing for the 2018 WikiCup? If you have a view on these or other matters, why not join in the WikiCup discussion about next year's contest? Accusation of copyright infringement on my talk page

Please can you respond to your edit to my talk page accusing me without any reference or detail of including copyrighted material on the Priss Fotheringham page. Please consider that putting 'Welcome to Wikipedia' notices on accounts over 5 years old is incredibly patronising and unhelpful, and please think about the way you interact with other accounts on Wikipedia. --Jwslubbock (talk) 14:24, 17 November 2017 (UTC)

Priss Fotheringham page was obviously involved copyright.I found 50.00%+ copyright infringement.Due to copyright I've added the tagging WP:CSD 12.Anyway the administrator decline the deletion tag.I've already added the strikethrough on copyright notice on your talk page.CAPTAIN RAJU(T) 19:36, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
(talk page watcher) Captain, the templated message you added to the user talk page said "All or some of your addition(s) to Priss Fotheringham have been removed, as they appear to have added copyrighted material ..." but you had not removed any allegedly copyright material. The CSD G12 template makes it clear that this criterion for deletion "applies only in unequivocal cases, where there is no free-content material on the page worth saving and no later edits requiring attribution". Although one major quote (shown as a quote in both cases) is taken from the londonist website, none of the other text appears to be a direct copy. Please be more careful when using the G12 criterion: it is only for the case where the whole article is a clear copyright violation. Using it inappropriately is unfriendly to other editors and, if an admin was not alert, could lead to the loss of useful content for the encyclopedia. Adding a templated message saying that content has been removed when it has not is extremely confusing for all concerned. Slow down, please: striking out erroneous messages shouldn't be necessary if editors work with appropriate care. @Jwslubbock: PamD 23:44, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
Thank you @PamD:. I still have no idea what material I am supposed to have used that was copyrighted. The quote from the Londonist is from a public domain document, specifically the court document from the 17th century. I don't believe that Captain Raju really read the page properly, and his attempt to accuse me of copyright infringement without even telling me what copyright I'm supposed to have infringed is a textbook example of unhelpful Wikipedia editing. This is the reason we have so few female editors, because of this kind of unfriendly behaviour. We have a duty to assume good faith here, and that rule was broken. If we want to encourage more editors to be involved and increase the diversity of the content, we need to treat each other with more respect. Jwslubbock (talk) 12:50, 18 November 2017 (UTC)
@CAPTAIN RAJU: We await your explanation of what copyright material you believed to be the problem. Thanks. PamD 14:10, 18 November 2017 (UTC)

undoing my edit

Feel free to alter it, but I was correct to point out an empirical error. The Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem is, in fact, subject to the jurisdiction of the Catholicosate of Etchmiadzin. If it wasn't, it wouldn't be a part of the Armenian Church! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.115.142.83 (talk) 06:46, 22 November 2017 (UTC)

The Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem is according to Church Law autonomous, Jerusalem is not under the jurisdiction of Etchmiadzin! It seems that Etchmiadzin, not for the first time in history btw, would like to rule over the Patriarch in Istanbul, the Patriarch in Jerusalem, and perhaps also Antelias?

The alteration above (anonymous) is therefore NOT correct, and totally out of place.

Could Captain Raju could you please reverse yesterday's edit — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anahid66 (talkcontribs) 12:11, 23 November 2017 (UTC)

speedy deletion tag on my sandbox

Hello, would you mind sharing exactly what part of my sandbox looks like an {{advert}} to you? Please be confirmed, I am asking this due to my confusion, this is not any personal attack. Thanks again. S Shamima Nasrin (talk) 22:11, 22 November 2017 (UTC)

Captain Raju, the editor above has a point. She was working in her sandbox on a translation of an article, presumably from Bengali Wikipedia, on Tahera Kabir. Through google translate, I didn't see anything excessively promotional that couldn't be fixed.
"Tahera Kabir is a prominent social worker and NGO personality in Bangladesh. [1] In 1978, he was awarded "Independence Award for Social Welfare" for his unique contribution to social welfare.
He created an NGO named "Social Reconstruction Association" to serve poor and disadvantaged people. [1] [3] Under this NGO, a shelter center is run in Mirpur, Dhaka for helpless, orphan and street children.
In 1979, "Independence Award", known as the "highest civilian award" [6] [7] [8], was awarded to his contribution to social service."
Receiving the Independence Day Award, the highest civilian honour of the eighth most populous country in the world, is a very clear claim of notability and indeed 7 of the other recipients that year have articles.
WP:G11 says: "If a subject is notable and the content could plausibly be replaced with text that complies with neutral point of view, this is preferable to deletion."
Please use more care when adding these tags. This is at least the third time this week you've done it and you'll end up scaring editors away. Valenciano (talk) 22:36, 22 November 2017 (UTC)
