My name is Charles Laquidara. On my bio page, there is a banner on the very top that says: “A major contributor to this article or its creator appears to have a conflict of interest with its subject.” I am fairly sure that I am the “major contributor” in question I would like to have someone edit, delete or add (to the content) anything which will make this banner go away, because it has been there for almost a year and it denigrates the integrity of the bio itself. I would be willing to help in any way, if someone would contact me, but so far your editors haven't seen fit to do this.I have tried to correct the problem before- have tried to edit the site itself in order to make it more compliant with Wikipedia standards- but I am clueless as to what actually is the problem and how to get that banner deleted. I am not very good at “computerese” and working with links, so I would really appreciate it if one of your experts could go in there and clean it up so that it meets your standards and becomes a normal, suitable and acceptable bio of my life. Question on deletion edit

Your removal of all mention of publications in article Bruce Frantzis is quite rigorous. I see many articles where author's publications are still showing, including isbn-numbers. Is it standing practice now to remove isbn numbers as well as the titles of books?
For example, I might start in the Category:American martial arts writers: Diallo Nkenge Frazier (no {primary sources}), Larry Hartsell: isbn numbers, no source, commercial link, George Leonard commercial links, Dave Lowry (martial arts) list of books, Jonathan Maberry list of books (in text & list), Scott Shaw list of books, John Stevens (scholar) list of books & publ. no {primary sources}, Phil Elmore list of books, excessive ext. links, Ridgely Abele no sources at all.
To be clear: I don't mind editing, but I like consistency. If so, please show me where it states that these lists of publications should go, so when I remove these I can make proper refererence to these wiki rules in the comments. --VanBurenen (talk) 16:50, 23 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I appreciate that you returned the publications! I don't know if you know Bruce, but the man apparently spent his whole life acquring knowledge and skills that he now is publishing about in quite a few books and other media, books that people are appreciating. I would like to get rid of the templates in the article about him, but most of what is known about him is stuff he told others. There are even interviews on youtube. Does the lack of independent texts mean that he is not worthy of an article? Considering his list of publications and his "presence" on the web (see google hits) he is a somebody. Are there not many people who acquire vast quantities of knowledge and publish brilliant texts, but of whom we know very little as a person or even of the people he ever interacted with (and who could have written about him, but maybe were not good writers)? Does one always need to be an eccentric or appear on talk shows to be worthy of an article? I'll continue looking for material to add, however, I feel it is very difficult to fulfill the unlimited demands expressed in the templates. Hi, I transwikied the above picture, which you had uploaded to the Wikipedia, to the Commons some time ago. Now another user has noticed that it doesn't have an author or source specified. This is important because it's Public Domain status relies on its author being dead 70 years or more. endulge my trespassing on your time. I'm a university student at Seoul National University, and I'm currently working on a research project on Wikipedia. My focus is on dispute resolution and the Wikipedian culture- subjects that needs real understanding rather than statistics or observation of explicit things. Therefore, I'm eagerly searching for live voices, for accounts of active users.

I see you are an administrator who has been active in Wikipedia for many years, so I thought your experience and opinions would add a lot to my research. Excuse me for possibly annoying you, but can you please inform me of how to react against vandalism and continuous pathetic edits? I am involved in wikipedia trying to improve an article about a greek soccer club, Aris Thessaloniki F.C., trying to use referrences and neutral language (please check my contributions and the article's history [1], [2]), but this user appears again and again erasing content and swearing [3], [4], [5], [6], [7], [8], [9], [10], [11], [12], [13], [14], [15], [16], [17], [18]. Junonia volute from the Gulf of Mexico edit

 

Hi Bradeos Graphon, If you are around and read this, I wanted to ask you if you can remember whereabouts in the Gulf of Mexico the beautiful Junonia volute you photographed was from? If it was from Alabama it would be one subspecies, but if it was from the Yucatan it would be another subspecies. Did you find it yourself on a beach after a storm, or was it dredged? Many thanks!
