DYK edit

Hey, you should nominate your new Boston-Halifax article for DYK. Grk1011 (talk) 20:59, 4 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your suggestion, I really appreciate it! :] I'll certainly look into it, but I think I'll hold off until some others review/edit/add to it! BostonUrbEx (talk) 04:08, 15 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Work-in-progress table edit

Your table comparing capital and operating costs for various MBTA projects is a nice bit of work, and very interesting/enlightening as well. Where do you intend to deploy it, once finished? Also, where did you source the various statistics? Reify-tech (talk) 04:00, 10 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! It'll probably end up on a subpage, like User_talk:BostonUrbEx/MBTA_chart or something or other, I'm not sure it would really fit in on a article. It's primarily for my own comparative look, and for others at railroad.net as it was the best way I know to create and share a chart that can be sorted a number of ways by each user. It's slightly dated, based on 2003 estimates from Boston MPO studies (which I cannot recall the location of at this time, but a search for Boston MPO and a quick little rummage through some pages should turn them up). Proposed deletion of Richard C. Howard edit

The article Richard C. Howard has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Grand Junction edit

Hey, your addition just messed up the formatting. Putting it in an infobox with {{infobox rdt|Grand Junction}} may work. I like it otherwise. I would, though, reverse the whole thing - it's oriented enough north-to-south that I'd put Chelsea atop and the B&A on the bottom. Pi.1415926535 04:07, 14 May 2012‎ (unsigned comment)

Thanks for the feedback. :) Yeah, I need to figure out what's wrong with it... I tried putting it in an empty infobox and previewing it, but it still showed a busted template, so I'm not sure what is wrong with it... :( I'll keep trying, I'll try another infobox, hope it works. And I didn't think of orienting East Boston on the top and Beacon Yard on the bottom until I finished, but I will definitely get to that once this is fixed! Edit-a-thon invite edit

Adrianne Wadewitz Memorial edit-a-thons edit

Adrianne Wadewitz edit-a-thons in Southern New England

As you may have already heard, the Wikipedia community lost an invaluable member of the community last month. Adrianne Wadewitz was a feminist scholar of 18th-Century British literature, and a prolific editor of the site. As part of a worldwide series of tributes, New England Wikimedians, in conjunction with local institutions of higher learning, have created three edit-a-thons that will be occurring in May and June. The events are as follows:

We hope that you will be able to join us, whether you are an experienced editor or are using Wikipedia for the first time.

If you have any questions, please leave a message at Kevin Rutherford's talk page. You can unsubscribe from future notifications for Boston-area events by removing your name from this list.

Urban Ring edit

Hey, so for proposed Urban Ring stations I've been using the past tense about the planning. As much as it's a needed project (and we like listening to F-Line), the planning process is dead for the time being (save for corridor projects like the SL to Chelsea). Yawkey (MBTA station)#Future plans is a good example of how I've been phrasing it. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 17:19, 12 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for August 14 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Lynn Belt Line Street Railway, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Eastern Railroad. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:15, 14 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
