--Bampublore (talk) 19:36, 18 July 2011 (UTC)so please sentence do not remove the sentence , I have already added the source because you have asked for source now you are asking to change the sentence could you help me with that .Reply

thank you .--Bampublore (talk) 19:36, 18 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Rewriting the sentence would be difficult but in any event it is not a particularly significant fact for the article. It would be better to wait until the guy is launched by the fashion house and then add something from another reliable source. WP:CRYSTAL is the policy to refer to regarding this but, for example, what happens if he dies before being launched? The article would look ridiculous. So, wait until it happens, then report it. Hope this makes sense. - Sitush (talk) 19:40, 18 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

--Bampublore (talk) 19:48, 18 July 2011 (UTC)That's right sir but I think this information need to be added as this is mentioned in so many websites , what do you think , and please teach me how to add this sentence " he will be launched by Indian Fashion House Kimaya " --Bampublore (talk) 19:48, 18 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

--Bampublore (talk) 19:55, 18 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

I want to add Information in Page Govind Kumar Singh " He will be launched by Indian fashion house kimaya "

reference link is Season three of Cotton Council International's pan-India fashion design contest, "Let's Design," concluded with Govind Kumar Singh winning for designing the best cotton fashions. Govind will be launched by India's biggest fashion house, Kimaya. "With Let's Design we believed in eliciting the latent talent of aspiring young designers across the nation and highlighting the fashion potential of cotton," Ms. Agnieszka Fijol, CCI Representative, said. "Through his designs, Govind brought a unique style and creativity to cotton. This is a fabric that goes beyond wardrobe basics and Govind opened the door to a world of haute couture for cotton." "Let's Design 3" kicked off in December 2010. CCI received almost 800 entries from Bangalore, Kolkata, New Delhi and Mumbai. During the regional rounds, 90 contestants brought their sketches to life in cotton, presenting their design to a panel of fashion experts and explaining how it utilized cotton's characteristics. Sixteen finalists from the regional rounds were brought to Mumbai, where they stayed under one roof in a "Reality House" and were judged on their execution of various tasks given to test their skill, passion and creativity with cotton. Judges selected eight finalists, who showcased mini-collections of cotton clothing during the finale. "Let's Design 3" TV episodes premiered on February 25 in India, exclusively on ZoOm. "We are excited about partnering with CCI in its campaign to create awareness for the benefits of cotton," Mr. Avinash Kaul, CEO of ZoOm said. "This is our third consecutive year of association with CCI and we are proud to bring alive this initiative right from the conceptual stage to the final execution across all relevant platforms." --Bampublore (talk) 19:55, 18 July 2011 (UTC) please help me as I am a new user I need help . thanksReply

It does not matter what other websites say, if Wikipedia's policies and guidelines do not permit the content to be added. Please read the page at WP:CRYSTAL, as I requested before. And wait until the launch happens. Wikipedia is not going to disappear in the interval. - Sitush (talk) 19:57, 18 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

--Bampublore (talk) 20:05, 18 July 2011 (UTC) I want to add more information in this article reference is there , so how to add that please any senior help me I am new user .Reply

I want to add information like " he is creative and excellent working with cotton , he is the person who started making haute couture out of cotton ." how to add that . Please help me .

I am afraid that you cannot do that without providing a reliable source by which people can verify your statement. Wikipedia is not about your opinion of something; it is about what reliable sources say about it. Click on those blue links and have a read. - Sitush (talk) 20:09, 18 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

any one can help me with that . source information is here , and sentence is also here how to add that ??

The source does not say what you want it to say. It is referring to a comment about the designs in the competition only; even more certainly, it does not say that he is the person who started making haute couture out of cotton (and, indeed, that would be a grossly incorrect statement since there are plenty of other designers who have used cotton for that purpose). - Sitush (talk) 20:22, 18 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

--Bampublore (talk) 20:34, 18 July 2011 (UTC) ya sir that's right so can I add " He has worked with cotton in this reality show and made beautiful haute couture "--Bampublore (talk) 20:34, 18 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

You could, if you removed the word "beautiful", but you should not. It adds absolutely nothing to the article. A better approach would be to quotw Fijol word-for-word and say that he said it, but even then I do not see what it adds to the article. Eg: Agnieszka Fijol commented that "yadda yadda yadda". If anything, people might consider that it places too much weight on a single point, and Fijol himself seems not to be a notable person. I am starting to think that you have possibly got a conflict of interest with Govind, as Vermapriya had. - Sitush (talk) 20:53, 18 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
I have been informed that it is likely Agnieszka Fijol is a woman. Whoops! Sorry about that. I have also been pondering the general issue and wonder whether, as a prominent person in Cotton Council India, she was just trotting out words: would she have said the same thing if a different candidate had won because CCI were sponsors of the event and it seems likely that using cotton was a prerequisite for the contestants? - Sitush (talk) 17:05, 19 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

{{helpme}} --Bampublore (talk) 08:26, 21 July 2011 (UTC) please help me in above mentioned page editing , i am new and this user Sitush is threatening me and telling me i will block and all , i am stock of vermapriya1986 , I am very new user and I dont know that user , plese help me to handle him , and teach me how to edit articles , you can see above mentioned article it is with reference and I want to collect information form this article and put it in my words and make page Govind Kumar Singh more informative . Please help me .Reply

thank you --Bampublore (talk) 08:26, 21 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sorry if you feel threatened, but I did not start the investigation that is going on. Happen I think you will be exonerated, although at the time it did look suspicious. I realise that this must sound awful to you but there is a "back story" regarding this particular article involving numerous contributors who were indeed the same person pretending to be separate people (a "sockpuppet"). Your recent edits have been similar and have been using the same sources, which is why the suspicion arose.
Rest assured that there will not be a black mark against your name if you are not a sockpuppet. I have tried to assist you with your basic queries and someone else has been here yesterday and saw that this was so.
As far as improving the article goes, what you need are reliable sources. In this instance my guess is that they would mostly be from newspapers & magazines since no-one is likely to have written a book about the article subject. There are two ways to deal with this:
  • You already know something about the guy, in which case you hunt for a source that can verify what you know; or
  • You just research about him generally in reliable sources and add anything relevant that turns up.
Either way, you need to phrase things in your own words or as a short quote. What you must not do is copy something word-for-word as this would almost certainly be a copyright violation. There are exceptions to this rule but they are not likely to apply to someone who is a 20-something year old fashion designer.
I find that the best way to avoid accidentally copying things too closely is to read the information, walk away and do something else & then come back and edit the article without actually looking at what I had read earlier. I still have issues doing that because I have a weird sort of memory, but for most people it works all the time.
Just drop a note if you need any further help. - Sitush (talk) 08:40, 21 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thanks a lot! --Bampublore (talk) 18:58, 21 July 2011 (UTC)He has helped me , and I am really thankful to him but I want to really know what others think about so I will wait till the time Wikipedia Admin will see this conversation and the way he talked with me so please do not remove help template , this is his view there are other experienced editors they might help me in better way so I am waiting for them , and end of the day its good to listen all seniors advice to become good writer . thanks --Bampublore (talk) 18:58, 21 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Govind Kumar singh

edit

Hi, you should not have reverted my recent edits, so I have reinstated them. No information provided by you was lost, although I did add that all the contestants had to work with cotton and design haute couture (which is true). I moved the information down the page because it was undue weight to have that much detail in what is a very short lead paragraph for the article. Similarly, it is undue weight not to point out that all the contestants had to do the same as the article subject.

As for the category, I did remove that & this was because Indian costume designer is a subcategory of Indian fashion designer. The sources indicate that he is referred to as a fashion designer but, in any event, he should only really be in one of these categories. If you choose to put him in costume designer then that automatically includes him in the higher level fashion designer category. I'm not massively fussed about this, so feel free to delete fashion and add back costume but, really, there is no need for both.

Let me know if you do not understand something. I realise that this is tricky stuff. - Sitush (talk) 19:13, 21 July 2011 (UTC) --Bampublore (talk) 19:29, 21 July 2011 (UTC)I don't think that is lead paragraph and there is no written evidence / reference for other participation so how can me or you write they all made cloths by cotton , and same category Haute couture how can we write about others , we have reference only mentioned about his work what he did in the show there is no written evidence about others so you should not edit this line and that was lead line , that was very special , there is no written information about other contestants the grand finale collection so please do not change .Reply

and As for the category its totally different thing Costume Designer is very different from fashion designers , and please first talk on talk page after that do changing.--Bampublore (talk) 19:29, 21 July 2011 (UTC) {{help me}}Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Mukhiya

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Mukhiya requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you can assert the notability of the subject,  . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

Looks like a small attempt at trolling. Unless I can know what exactly you need help on, Help:Contents is your friend. You only put the template on if you have something legitimate to ask, and the help contents do not have it. Bryce53 | talk 02:57, 22 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

The evidence presented in the sockpuppet case is compelling and your unblock request is not convincing in the least. Additionally, you appear to lack the competence to edit in this environment anyway. Beeblebrox (talk) 00:21, 23 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Exactly the same flawed usage documented at several SPIs for Vermapriya1986. Current SPI is still open but stylistic evidence is utterly compelling. - Sitush (talk) 14:53, 22 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
