Hi; I have responded on the article's talk page to the valid point you raised about the pronunciation sound file, which I added to the article. Let me know your thoughts. Hassocks5489 (talk) 13:18, 4 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

WP:WikiProject The Bill edit

I'm trying to generate a discussion and stir some fresh interest at the talk page of the Bill's Wikiproject. As a member of the project, I hoped you might have some input, so I hope to see you there. Regards, HJMitchell You rang? 17:47, 26 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Re:Heaton Manor School / Cheryl Cole edit

That's cool. Thanks for adding the alternative source. As you're familiar with the area and attended the school, then I'd say you're more likely to know which one is right rather than Piers Morgan. I'm not sure what happens when two different refs contain contradictory information, but I'll try to find out. I'm planning to complete my overhaul of the article in the next couple of days (possibly even later on today) so please let me know if there's anything else that's incorrect and I'l take a look at it. File permission problem with File:Northumberland & City Police.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Northumberland & City Police.jpg, which you've sourced to Screenshot taken of a live TV programe. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:54, 17 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for October 25 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited West Yorkshire Police, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Parkinson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Newcastle meetup edit

Hi, please forgive the unsolicited spam. I'm hoping to establish a regular Wikipedia meetup in Newcastle, the first of which is to be held on 15 September. Since you're in Category:Wikipedians in Tyne and Wear, I hoped you might be interested. If you can make it, please do sign up on Meta, and if you can't make this one but would be interested in future Newcastle meetups, please add your name to the "apologies" section so we know there's interest. Thanks, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 15:26, 30 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Tyne & Wear Metro edit

Years ago you added on British Transport Police that they were only responsible for part of the Metro. That information has been in the article all that time and never challenged. I can't see any online reference, and I've searched and searched, that confirms it, however social media posts from BTP and Northumbria Police of their activities on the Metro would seem to back it up. Anything you can add? See Talk:British Transport Police#T&W Metro jurisdiction. Thanks in advance. Leeds Wikipedia meetup on Saturday 4th May edit

Hello there! Interested in having a chat with fellow Wikipedians? There's a meetup in Leeds on Saturday 4th May 2024, at the Tiled Hall Café at Leeds Central Library.

Full details here.

You're receiving this one-off message as you're either a member of WikiProject Yorkshire, you've expressed an interest in a previous Leeds meetup years ago, or (for about 4 of you), we've met :)

I plan to organise more in future, so if you'd like to be notified next time, please say so over on the meetup page.

Please also invite any Wikimedia people you know (or have had wiki dealings with) – spread the word! Hope to see you there.
