License tagging for Image:Rbhvn2.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Rbhvn2.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 22:09, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Your recent edits edit

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 05:38, 15 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on Talk:Jana Gana Mana. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. You are welcome to rephrase your comment as a civil criticism of the article. Thank you. --Ragib (talk) 15:20, 15 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Jana Gana Mana. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. --Ragib (talk) 15:20, 15 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Addition of Hindi scripts to all and sundry articles edit

Hi Apalaria, this is really getting tiresome. We have had multiple discussions on whether Hindi scripts should be added to articles of persons, whose mother tongue were not Hindi. You have been repeatedly told that per WP MOS, in the English language wikipedia, there is no question of adding Hindi scripts to the article. Alas, you are back at it again. Please stop immediately or we will have open a thread at WP AN/I against you. Shovon (talk) 17:40, 30 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Lingam edit

I've reverted you for two reasons. You need to read WP:VERIFY and WP:RSN. [1] is basically a sales site and fails WP:RS quite clearly. Secondly, your language violates our WP:NPOV policy in that it claims that a group of scholars is wrong. I also note that you are using websites that don't meet WP:RS at Shiva. I'm also not convinced about Debnath, certainly not without attribution. He isn't even a full professor and he works at a minor college. Dougweller (talk) 12:12, 14 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

It may be against your policy but you need to decide whether defending such a policy makes more sense or reporting correct information does. If you revert my edits, kindly specify the exact cause for reverting - which line, phrase, source, etc. Apalaria (talk) 13:18, 14 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

August 2013 edit

Your recent editing history at Lingam shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. License tagging for File:Shiva meditating.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Shiva meditating.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:05, 30 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
