Remove links

Hello! I read (months ago, so I could be wrong) that administrators are able to delink articles in mass. Basically, I redirected the Doctors series articles (from series 1 to 9, as they do not meet WP:NTV. Would you be able to remove links that link to these pages, as they now lead to the main Doctors article? – DarkGlow (talk) 19:18, 3 January 2020 (UTC)

@DarkGlow: Hi, I don't know about this being an admin tool as I've never used it or seen it but I believe I can do it with Twinkle which I have. Departed characters

Characters who haven't been seen in over a year have no place on the current character list. Or should I add Zara Highway back, simply because she's the daughter of a main character despite her not having appeared since 2018? I have seen a source saying Kim will return but I'm sorry I don't remember where. "Regular" recurring characters such as Mica and Bronson I believe should be treated differently to other recurring characters. @Veverve: Hi there. I have cut down the number of links on the page as I think there were too many. I don't think a disambiguation page should contain links to categories or to links within other disambiguation pages listed in that page. Also made some improvements to layout, such as using bullet points instead of a numbered list, which isn't standard for disambiguation pages. Are half-siblings immediate relatives?

@DarkGlow: It doesn't matter WHAT you think or want to do. It was made pretty clear in the above post if you read it. Even if there are no interactions between them, the half-siblings are ALWAYS added. Half-siblings and parents are ALWAYS added. I was just following what other users did. YOU don't get to dictate the rules. The rules are half-siblings are ALWAYS added. Anthony and Isaac are paternal half-brothers. An argument could be made to also include Paul, because Patrick raised him and may have adopted him. Yes we include all immediate family, so parents, siblings, children and spouses, including half-siblings. Then any other relatives have to have a notable connection. Possible move/history merge

Hey, is it okay if I float an idea past you? The List of current Home and Away characters article is up for deletion, and I think it should be moved to the correct name of List of Home and Away characters instead, which is in keeping with the rest of the soap opera character lists (and the yearly lists). I was just wondering how tricky the move and merge might be? Following that, the contents of List of Home and Away characters would be moved to List of past Home and Away characters (with any current cast removed), how would that merge go? @JuneGloom07: Umm I'm think it would be easiest to just move List of Home and Away characters over the redirect at List of past Home and Away characters - leave a redirect at List of Home and Away characters and update any links that need to be changed - and then move List of current Home and Away characters over the redirect at List of Home and Away characters, so the history of the original List of past Home and Away characters would be deleted and of the other two pages would be retained. People have agreed that pets and children of regular characters should remain on the list if their owner/parent is also listed, so if Kim is listed then Mica and Pearl can stay. That's not abusing the page. As for Kim, well, she did appear at Christmas so do we need to apply the now-suspended 6-month rule to her? I would have rather you pinged me on that talk page again instead of splitting the discussion like this. Well, the reason I did it was because "changes to the table layout must not be approved" yet the layout was changed and it no longer complies with WP:COLOUR. Protection Request

Hey.

Just a short request to protect List of Neighbours characters (2019). It's the same Moron who pops up like an unwanted zit defacing family sections with crap like "Kristina Katie Turner Renshaw". in the infobox instead the proper character name. It's so tiresome for me and June to keep reverting this nonsense. Their crap has also spread to the Neighbours wiki.

AWB

Hello – your comment about AWB reminded me of this task. The "past" in character infoboxes needs changing back to "former", and someone who knows how to use AWB would be best for the task. It's not urgent, so there's no pressure to perform it in any form of a timeframe. Editors, including myself, have been changing it manually when they come across it, but it's a laborious task lol. Also, I think you're an administrator – would you be able to look into changing the actual documentation on Template:Infobox soap character? Just to ensure it says former, rather than past. I did the category quickly and then changed the pages manually apart from the EE one, I've just done that with AWB. Apparently I have 1,634 pages to check (though many will be "no changes" as the former character lists are linked in navigation templates! I've done it now. Good new is I'm catching up more on EE now and I'm finding some bits are getting good. I'm just coming up to what I assume is now Kush's departure, although they already gave him 2 or 3 departure storylines and I've been yawning that he didn't leave already! Nancy just returned as well. My motivation to watch is helped by the shorter episodes. Kush was severe dead wood for the show, it's a shame since Davood is a talent. Guess Holby saw that! Since I wrote that last comment, I'm enjoying EE a lot more, I'm glad KO and JS got their shit together and started focusing on interesting characters! Loving the newbies like Dana and Mila a lot too. I watched EE 2008 for a few months when BBC4 began showing it, but I let it build up and could never find the motivation to catch up lol. @Nk3play2: I was thinking of doing this actually, I know it's not where I wanted it, and obviously as time goes on there will be more and more to add. But I should take a look at it, see if it needs minor edits and put it into mainspace, let people work on it and maybe in the future I will add to it. How we will see unregistered users

Hi!

You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.

When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.

Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.

We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. The thing is I looked at the history and the two overlap in the dates so I don't think I should fully merge them, but as you're the only editor of your draft, you could just copy and paste your draft into the existing page as a single edit, because I would have to merge the histories rather than just move your entire draft over the top. Let me know if that's acceptible to you.
